I thought The Delightful Children had captured Number One and tried to make him one of them using a Delightfulization Chamber. There was some sort of malfunction, and the effect destroyed his hair follicles. In the F.O.U.N.T.A.I.N. episode, when the KND were returning to normal, we see Number One with some light brown hair on his head for a second before becoming bald again.
From listening to this theory, the Delightful Children could've just had some sort of torture device or perhaps a brain scanner that also was radioactive, and that killed Numbuh One's hair all on its own. He might've _also_ gotten cancer from that, and the radiation treatments might've killed the last chance of his hair growing back.
Instead of cancer, when the Delightful Children kidnap numbah 1, they could have threatened to remove his hair as they know how much he loves it and events went down which results in numbah 1 becoming bald
This is also a universe from the imaginative perception of kids. Where adults and eveything associated with growing up are considered "evil" and heartbreaking. Not everything has to make sense, thats what what made the show so great. They probably just damaged it so badly that he has to live with the shame from the accident and because of this 5 feels guilty.
One point of correction, radiation and chemotherapy are very different treatments and it is only chemotherapy that causes hair loss since it goes throughout the body, radiation OTOH is extremely targeted to just the cancer and would only cause baldness on a small area if that.
I mean, like you said "they have crazy gadgets " i wouldnt be out of play to be something that removed his hair permanently without it being cancer. Afar all everyone in that show gets bend out of shape of cereal. So it aint forfeited to thing nigel was attached to his hair
I don't agree with the first part of the theory as after completing chemo and radiation hair will regrow. And thats kinda dark for a kids show lol. My headconnon is that the delightful children were jealous of numbuh ones hair and gave him a permanent hair loss solution. And numbuh five still regrets that she was not able to help him.

His friends saying goodbye and him going to the sky and father screaming “no.” before he departs in an empty valley where they left. One ending he died. The other he lived when Abigail said welcome back to him.
There's an episode that explains it he lost a bet to the delightful children or they shaved his head or something so either they shaved him or he was made to for losing

Why does EVERYONE assume that if someone's bald, they have cancer? Maybe they decided to shave it because they like the look? Or because they have Alopecia?
Love the video, just a small nit pick about a factor from the show. You kept referring to the group as sector 5, but that is technically incorrect as they use an alphabetical listing for the sectors, and a numerical list for the individual agents. This is shown in the episode where sector v is falsely declared teens and the then leader said "I thought they just put numbers 1 through 5 on on the list but it's every sector from J through Q." Sorry for the nitpicking, I just watched the show alot as a kid and picked up on that.
I was never suspicious of his hair as a kid. Most likely because one of neighbors/childhood friend was always bald because he wouldn’t properly take care of his hair and brush it so it was easy for him to not have hair.

Theory one: the Delightfuls gave him cancer. Theory two: the Delightfuls fed him head-first into a modified bowling ball polisher that took his hair and his ability to regrow it. One sounds a LOT more plausible than the other, especially given that Nigel suffered literally no other ill effects.

Ok, cancer patient here, cancer doesn’t make you bald, chemo therapy does. Your hair grows back after the treatment is out of your system.
