Dreadwind's a VERY brilliant figure!! His transformation's not only unique for a G1 figure, but it's also complex for a G1 figure!!
I missed the live , work, kids sorry about that. This maybe off topic but thank you for serving our country, that's completely heroic and righteous, thank you. My dad is a Vietnam veteran and he is my hero. You are the first reviewer to give us such extensive research. That's appreciable. Your channel is awesome and growing please keep trucking my brother. We might have to call you the peoples champion. Stay solid sir.
Thank you so much for the kind words.
My family has a long history of Service. Both of my Grandfather's served in WWII, my dad served in "Nam, my brother and I both served in Iraq.
@@PatriotPrimeReviews Like my dad, any soldier in my book are peoples champion. Y'all have put everything on the line for people like me to live our lives, be that good or bad ,the very pursuit of happiness and freedom. Who would do that? Not the average person, atleast not some of the people I know. May God have a place in heaven for you and your family, much love and keep the good things coming. ✊🙏💪
Own Dreadwind and still love him warped in the attic with brittle plastic. Love the Hi-Test engine and own their first comic appearance.
A gem toy of the last 34 years ago.
Another solid review🤘😁🤘 sorry I missed it live.... I was caught up in Borderlands 3 hahahaha
The last new release I bought was MK11, with Dylan running around I just can't get invested in a long term game anymore.
@@PatriotPrimeReviews he seems plenty entertaining. Who needs games?!
Freaking awesome time Jason! This is one of my favorite G1 Characters. Darkwing and him had a huge part in Super-God Masterforce Cartoon as well.
We should all fear ‘Timmy’ the demon chewer of toys...
Lil' Timmy is a bastard.
I wonder... would Dreadwind and Darkwing be considered the longest lasting background characters in the Marvel comics? I know they did have a bit of importance in their earliest appearances before becoming background characters, but they lived through the Underbase saga (despite not appearing in it), survived the battle against Unicron and made it through G2 (only to be destroyed and then rebuilt into the massive chunk of awesomeness that is stealth bomber Dreadwing). Seriously, my hat's off to these guys for enduring so much.
I wish I could give you two likes for the five+ minutes of comics history - good job. In the UK comics, Dreadwind actually hosted the Letters page for a while!
Thanks, the History went longer than expected...there was so much. I condensed it for the Darkwing Review.
Another awesome review of a great looking figure my friend, since I picked up the potp versions I've been keeping an eye out for them to show up at my brick and mortar vintage toy shop for the exact reason you mentioned, due to buying a broken set. Keep rocking on my friend! \m/
Nice review and as always, it's great to get the characters history, more so as I don't know a lot about the PowerMasters. I like both the robot and jet mode for Dreadwind, quite an involved transformation for a G1. I lol'd at the "poopin in the woods" comment for the PowerMasters pose. Looking forward to see the combined mode in a future review.
G1 Dreadwind was a favorite Decepticon figure of mine way back in the late 80's. I had never gotten Blackwing, so I never got to combine them. Happily, I got the two in the Power of the Primes series and combined them. I keep them as limbs for Starscream's combiner. I have a second Dreadwind that I modified and named, Breakwind.
U should see Masterforce with these two jet boys. The powermasters look dead on with the toy. And their story arch was pretty interesting
Very nice review! I'm still looking for Dreadwind myself because I picked up a complete Darkwing locally. Good luck at TF con finding one of these unbroken, And if you do keep me in mind for this guy because I already have both his guns.
Will do.
Great review dude been so looking forward to the power masters
Thanks brutha.
I loved these guys! That comic was why I got them! 😁💯
That issue is one of my faves.
I had this him and Darkwing when I was a kid picked them from a old store called sky city such good memories. Also thank you for the Marvel backstory
Thank you for watching good sir.
DREADWIND IS PUNISHING!
HIS GATTLING GUN IS ILLIN'-- Oh. Oops. Wrong Dreadwind! Anyway cool review bud! Looks really cool. I wonder if anyone has customised TF Prime Starscream into this guy?
Interesting thing I only just recently found out, his toes do fold inside his legs entirely. I was looking at one on ebay and thought the toes were just flat out broken but couldn't see any stress marks to show it.
“I don’t know what you call this... uhh Pooping in the woods”

Been there, done that,
A Like for mentioning the Marvel Comics debut of Powermaster Optimus Prime!
MARVEL G1 was my G1 fiction back in the day...we didn't have cable.
Only Powermaster I hadwad Prime. This dup was fun to see.
Thanks, Prime was my only one too back in the day.
if Hasbro rereleased these power masters back in 2007 when I was 5 that they could have easily been packed into the cybertron line. I would have really liked these
Dreadwing had a big role in the G1 Masterforce.
They should have been on the transformers rise of the dark spark game
Hey, when did the commercials play for the toys? I watched the series in the 80s but don't recall any of the animated commercials...were they on certain TV stations?
I remember seeing them on WGN on my Grandparents cable
@@PatriotPrimeReviews okay..I was from NYC viewing areas aka the tri-state section where as up here in Massachusetts is known as the new England area, but technically all the eastern seaboard was known as the new England territory back in the day...
But I saw tf shows on wpix channel 11 then and I don't know more than that anymore..but I saw the movie in theaters and before it the rock lords movie...in a theater at the same time but not in a picture on picture idea...one at a time.
In my fanfic he's the cynical, smart ass pilot of the Humility (Quake's crew's rickety, outdated starship). He's, oddly enough, best buds with the unyieldingly optimistic Chop Shop (ship medic). I've mentally casted Norm MacDonald (Death from Family Guy).
I missed the premiere. :(
I thought Dreadwind was Really Annoying in the comics. though he was Kinda cool
Dreadwind & Darkwing are awesome! Hasbro didn't do them justice with the PotP versions, so I fixed them with my Shapeways redesigns as you can see here: tinyurl.com/yxpt8ty9
Ooh, thanks for that.
noice
Yeah I made the same mistake with Powermaster Prime, I broke the release catch on the first day 😔
Ouch, I had a friend who snapped Joyride.
That reverse knee is really weird..
🤔🤔🤔 With a name like Dreadwind, it's like he dreads the wind... 🤖
😉😇😇Couldn't resist that one, LOL 😈😈😈 😆😆😅😅😅
(Don't worry, I'll edit later...😁)
Really not a great name for a plane
Is he the best Decepticon of 1988?
I'm more partial to Dreadwind.
@@PatriotPrimeReviewsyou mean Darkwing?
In the japanese, his name is buster.
Go to transformerland.com ...they might have what you're looking for...good hunting
