You don't get anything for free on private islands -- the cost of all the activities you've listed is included in the humangous price they charge you per night.
SO glad to have helped reach out to us on Instagram if you have any additional questions. We are leaving for the Maldives for 3 months tomorrow. And we will be live every day for 3 months from over 30+ islands. Our IG: instagram.com/livingtheglobe/
Thanks for this video. Very useful information! I live in South-East Asia and would definitely choose a private island for the full Maldives experience since I've seen enough mediocre beaches from where I'm from. Not willing to fly all the way there and get a less then stellar experience just because I want to save some money.
Thank you 👍👍👍for the video , you let us know the pros and cons of the island of Maldives , the expensive and the cheap , the what to do and what not to do on the island , and the true about vacation in the Maldives. Thank you but maybe go to Hawai is more easyer,
Hi Irina & Devon, thank you very much for sharing your experiences about vacationing in Maldives. We haven't seen all of your videos yet, but especially with the comparison between Local Island and Resorts, we have two questions that you might be able to answer for us: We both don't like mosquito bites (even though Maldives is considered malaria free).... Question 1: Is there a difference in number between Local Islands and Resorts? Question 2: Do you have experience with which product protects best against bites? Thank you very much for your help! We wish you many more wonderful trips and are happy that you share your experiences with us here on TH-cam! Greetings from Germany Marcus
Hi, Marcus! Thank you so much for watching. not sure if I understand your first question correctly. If you are curious on the difference in the amount of mosquitos if the local island vs a private island, there are way more on the local island. Private islands are being sprayed daily. However there are still a few mosquitos on private islands. #2 We have used the only spray that was available in the Maldives Soffell mosquito repellent spray. They come in different scents and they work very well. Upon arriving you can purchase it at a store next to the luggage storage. It is very affordable. Local islands sell it in all the stores. Enjoy your Maldives trip :)
The points mentioned in the video are not completely wrong. However, the vloggers are slightly biased towards Private Island. You can not compare $500-1000 resort vs $50-100 hotel isn't it obvious the $1000 thing will be better. The other videos talk about the return you are getting with a $100 investment. This is something you completely missed in this video.
Comparing a $500-1000 resort to a $50-100 hotel seems somewhat unfair, as it's expected that the higher-priced option would offer superior amenities. Other videos delve into the returns one can expect from a $100 investment, a crucial aspect overlooked in this particular video.
Do you have a video comparing Hawaii and Maldives?
Hmmm this is a good one! We might do a livestream about it

I think people with their backpacks are being honest, for the most part, when they share their experiences.
We share our experience and we are honest. It’s not the same for us. To each it’s own
Thanks for your videos, after 10 years we are back on the Maldives. Greetings from the newly opened Barcelo Whale Lagoon, nearby Lux.

I’m sorry can you explain that point again? Are you saying you can get so much for $100?

Really nice one
Thank you! Cheers!
It's not free when it costs over a thousand dollars a night just to be there. Come on! Maybe you can afford that but we can't!!!! I'm done.
There are private islands that are $300/n the point is that it is a different experience from local islands
