Frankenstein the book: poses serious questions about Ethics and mortality Frankenstein the musical: a dark musical retelling of the book Young Frankenstein the musical: lol the monster tapdances
I’ll be honest... wasn’t going to click on this until I remembered that Hadley Fraser was part of the cast of Young Frankenstein since I follow him on Twitter... so thank you Hadley..!
I'm really high and the part when the dancers started charging in was freaky lol no idea they brought young Frankenstein to Broadway though That's pretty cool.
I am the set designer of the musical "the young follies of junior Frankenstein". The first in April 2023, (date to be defined), at the Palamostre in Udine, Italy. The donor will go to charity. You are welcome.
Natalia Vazquez I see why they chose it but not everyone is familiar with the movie. the musical is all that many will ever see. It didn’t present well in my opinion the opening speech by the Frau didn’t help.
I saw Josh as Frankenstein today, and as an avid fan of the movie, I can tell you that there is 100000% more of Gene in Josh than there is in Hadley. I'm not saying one is better than the other, I'm just saying Josh has so much more of Gene in him. (Which, according to him, he gets told a LOT.)
She is an 'actress' named Leslie Joseph mostly famous for her appearance in the absolutely dire TV series, ' Birds of A Feather' which was popular, to some, on UK TV throughout the mid/late 90's with reprisals and Christmas specials during the early to mid 2000's. Her character, Dorien, was a Jewish lady of indeterminate age who's accountant husband Marcus had been investigated for embezzlement. The other two central characters Sharon and Tracey were sisters and wives of unsuccessful career criminals and from the 'lower classes' who were regularly in prison. Dorien was always trying to outdo the sisters, oh and she was also an insatiable man crazy gold digger. The series was mildly entertaining. From what I gather she has had more success in theatre.
Just been to the Garrick this evening and this show is absolutely wonderful. Every one of the cast were brilliant but Cory English as Igor stole the show. So glad it wasn't Ross Noble.
Ah. We had Joshua Wilmott as Doctor Frankenstein. We spoke to the other ensemble members, and they all said Josh was SO much more like Gene that Hadley is. Spoke to Josh after the show, apparently he hears that all the time as well!

Young Frankenstein is still a little bit macabre

Just stood up at my desk and clapped and cheered! Love getting shivers from pure awesomeness! MORE HADLEY!! :)
Yeesh - maybe Dr. Fronkensteen could bring that *audience* to life! They know they're allowed to laugh, right?
Thoroughly outstanding.

I love this show so much, I'd go to every show if I could

Frau Bluecher!
(Horses whinny)
what is this,,, bashing of Hadley and this musical??? Hadley is a wonderful actor with amazing skills,,,,
This scene was almost not in the movie. Mel thought it was too much but relented when no one complained at the screening
I saw this in New York where Sutton Foster starred years ago!
Is that the same Frankenstein as the Broadway musical?
Hey Hadley Fraser
Over the top for me
Who is the presentratrice?

Hey
Haha I loved that! ;-;

Who was your Frankenstein? I had Josh; he was phenomenal.
Nic Greenshields - I think. He was excellent too - as were he whole cast.
As the monster or as the doctor?
Apologies. I meant the monster who was called "Adam" in the original Mary Shelley novel. Hadley Fraser was Frankenstein.
Ah. We had Joshua Wilmott as Doctor Frankenstein. We spoke to the other ensemble members, and they all said Josh was SO much more like Gene that Hadley is. Spoke to Josh after the show, apparently he hears that all the time as well!
aww i hate to say this because I wanted it to be brilliant but it just doesn't do it for me.....

I think they tried to hard...
What the fuck is this
Lame
no.
yikes.
How do you watch the movie and watch this garbage??? As a grown up watching Gene Wilder and think this is close is weird .
Well, this isn’t Gene Wilder :) either enjoy the show and the time and effort the creators put in this show or die mad
My wife and I saw this on Broadway many years ago with the original case (Roger Bart, Andrea Martin, Megan Mullally, etc.), and it was awesome.
We LOVE Hadley Fraser, THAT'S WHY!!!
You know this LITERALLY happens in the movie right?
Yea but what they are saying what gene wilder and peter boyl did was amazin this just sucks
John Fetterman before the stroke
I love the movie. This is hard to watch, and not funny at all. 🤷🏼♂️
