Whatever you have said about suspension is accurate. If the suspension is more on the comfort side, there will be too much wallowy effect with passengers and luggage and the feeling will be very dizzy and to vomit. So its better for all vehicles to keep the suspension on the stiffer side so that it would be more stable in most of the situations.
Assuming the average milage of a Mild hybrid to be around 15 km/l and Strong Hybrid to be around 25 km/l, the amount that you would save for running 75,000 km if you are driving a smat hybrid instead of a strong hybrid comes to around Rs: 50,000/-. lowest trim of strong hybrid is 1,50,000 is more expensive than the highest trim of mild hybrid. So you shouldn't be buying this model purely on running cost if your usage is not much.
This model is almost 3L more than mild hybrid so I am not sure if this is economical compared to mild hybrid. We will end up in less monthly fuel bill but pay it intially 😀. I would like to see plug-in hybrid in India so that while we use it in city we can run on ev completely and only on highways fossil fuel is needed. You don't mention that this engine runs on the Atkinson cycle. I think you need to read up on that. And that's why the Maruti engine cannot be used. Toyota has proven technology for the Atkinson cycle. Incidentally this engine is highly efficient though low in torque. It should ideally be run within a very small bandwidth in RPM. The engine is coupled to the wheels only when the vehicle speed relates to this bandwidth of RPM.
If you have watched the old episodes of Talking Cars where we reviewed this car before its launch, we have gone in-depth on this engine, what makes it efficient, including the fact that it runs on Atkinson cycle, like most hybrids. What I meant here was that the K15C is so inherently efficient and if paired with an indigenously developed hybrid tech, prove itself to be very efficient and cost effective
Correct. Hybrid batteries have a different chemistry to EV batteries because it’s meant for more charge and discharge cycles. It will still degrade over time, but takes longer.
I have the same problem even when the road is uneven and i brake ,there is some weird behaviour. Have been telling these to people at service. Please let us know if you get any update from maruti for this
