It really says something about the C64-scene when a living legend like yourself just randomly go about replying to comments on TH-cam. Thank you for everything!
Folks nowadays have no idea how difficult it was to squeeze out all those sounds out of the SID chip which was never designed to playing anything complex like this.
Nowadays I just begin to whiste this melody after 30 years! I searc it on YT and now I hit the play buttom over and over again... Thank you Jeroen Tel, its better then a time machine!
SID chip masterpiece, specially the first 1:05. I want to dig out one of my C64's and play this now. Yep, still have several working C64's and drives. XD
+Vermilion77 SID is only part of what made the C64 the most successful home computer of the 80S (untill the amiga came!), don't call the "rest" junk :-p
@@karl6657 I'll never get you guys who hate on remixes and modern approaches. Sure, the original always gets the merit in the first place, but for example the Cave Story remastered OST is not bad at all, I like it very much, and I also don't get the hate on Mega Man 11's soundtrack
I've looked after that version too, but i still prefer the original, C64 music, composed by Jeroen Tel. The music of "Supremacy" is one of the best music ever written for any C64 games.
When I started this tune my first thought was ... boring ... but boy was I wrong! Heard it a few times now and noticed it crept into my top-10 of favorite SID tunes.
The NES music was composed by Jeroen Tel, too. I like both versions, but somehow feel that in this case the NES music is better. That doesn't happen often, though (see e.g. Last Ninja).
The start of the music sounds better like the Amiga version ! And the full song had more tempo than the Amiga version ! Why ? Not enough resources from the team or not enough time cause the developer make to much pressure ? Amiga version is still good............but slow and poor vs this C-64 Version !
This game was ported to Nintendo Entertainment System, under the name "Overlord"...and features a different main theme song...which in my humble opinion is way more powerful and epic than this one...search for it here at youtube :)
Thanks for the upload, cheetahman91.
I just was pointed out to this by a friend. It's so much fun hearing back my own music on TH-cam. :-)

Thanks for the great memories man!
good guy musician, doesnt throw people into copyright purgatory when people use their music XD
Jeroen Tel i love u!
Great to hear from you. Thanks for the timeless classics
Back in the days I would load this game, listen to the intro, reset c64 and repeat the whole thing. Just to listen to this magnificent music.
My favourite Chip-tune ever. Never had a C64 but I feel like I missed out.
You're here right now, so you didn't miss out! :-) Just a little later, that's all! :-)
Can u tell some facts? How long did this tune took time to finish bäk in the days ?
+TheLemminkainen: This was composed/programmed (on the fly/from my head) in 2 days. (Sorry for the late reply).
I too !!!!

I love how many of Jeroen´s compositions are both kickass and emotional at the same time.

i really love this one as well, Jeroen is great!
Absolutely set the tone for the game, very atmospheric , masterpiece.
Since your name is Sharp, I think that was a pretty Sharp comment! :-D
Awesome guy! Hung out with him, back in September. He's a great laugh!
What a hauntingly medieval (spelling!) melody this is. Beautiful through and through. And the bass is a melody in it's own right. Superb. :)
SID chip masterpiece, specially the first 1:05. I want to dig out one of my C64's and play this now. Yep, still have several working C64's and drives. XD
Oh jesus, goosebumps when I finally recognized this melody from an old Machinae Supremacy instrumental.
I know right?
By far the best one they've ever made. It was Sidology 2: Trinity.
Yeah, me too. Never heard the original tune before. Really cool!
Yeah I knew this one but forgotvit was supremacy. Never knew it was a Tel though. Learned something after all thx jeroen!
Amazing music, There is so much depth in many c64 songs it seems.
Brings back memories... I feel old af
Never played any C64 games, but I love this chip-music. Listening as I am programming games :)
Still The Best After Many Years....
OMG =))
"Machinae Supremacy - Sidology 2 Trinity"
Now i known where melody from )
this was probably one of the best games on C64 back in the day. incredibly hard in the upper difficulty levels too.
2:06 that melody hits my Brain
Thanks so much for posting this! This song has been burned into my brain for the last 25 years and it's nice to hear it again.
So good. It is now my ringtone.
This music is pretty stomper!
Had a real supremacy groove to it, like people are taming a wild land to their will and getting it semi-civilized.
You don't know how funny that sounds to me! :-)
Great track. Funny thing about the C64 is, that today a used SID chip still makes 30 Bucks on e-bay while the other parts are junk.
+Vermilion77 SID is only part of what made the C64 the most successful home computer of the 80S (untill the amiga came!), don't call the "rest" junk :-p
Egyetlen szó, Imádom ....
Ez a hang , imádom,,,, 2022.07 best !
Best c64 tune ever !!!
Both LukHash and druu do awesome remixes of this
Yeah, the LukHash remix is a killer one!
I never had a C64 but this music still gives me nostalgia.
Dope.
The main melody is a cover of Ottawan - D.I.S.C.O
That Lukhash remix tho...
You meant, "That Lukhash overpreduced crappy remix tho", bro. NOTHING beats the original.

My C-64 Top 10 Music composition for sure.
Just a brilliant SID tune. Very close second to Jeroen's Myth title music.
2:15 sounds so cool. Amazing track!!

I LOVE C64 👍🥂🎩

This is too great.
Sooo great!
I love it!! My favorite also.
Good piece of music
Amazing! Makes me want to play some C64 games again!

Unbelievable

I do not agree
This shit go hard
+Jeroen Tel You Are God! :D
No, I'm not. But my middle name is GODfried ;-) LOL
Wow! Yeah, it's true - I did not know that!
There you go! Your name is the actual prophecy!
The SID version sounds so much better... But a sensational composition by Jeroen Tel!
Certified BANGER!!!
holy shit. that is all.
Aaaand I'm Back.
Sidology Ep.2 brought me here. Again.
Everybody who did not play with that game, will go to the HELL !
totally agree.
i think this is more propellent... but the overlord theme catches the atmosphere...!
For some reason I always sing. D.I.N.G.O, that melody!
I actually like the amiga theme better
Overlord was an awesome game.. I was able to beat the first two bad guys, but never the rest
C64 SUPREMACY AND PIRATES MINE BEST GAMES ❤️😇👽😈
love this
How in the world
Listen, enjoy, rinse and repeat for hours now. thnx :D
This is so good! Has Jeroen Tel made any recent compositions for the SID chip?
i will ask him from pm :)
@@ufukcingay2392 Cool! Thank you!
Amazing tune! I love it! BTW: 486 views :D
szuper jó játék,amigán még mindig megvan
i came here because of the mind.in.a.box cover
1:06 - 2:05 Love that :D
0:00 - 3:50 Love that ;-)
Is this the actual version of the music on the C64? IDK if it's a remix or what.
Yes. Not a remix.

Enjoy and ... play it LOUD!
This is from 1981, and Jerome was 17... Nothing can beat it.
gosh it's good, but Amiga version takes it to another level

All the gamers who defeated Rorn, please hands up! My hands are up :-)
Yeah very nice guy.
Very talented.
Or at least it was the song in the video
Idk what this comment was about but we're still jamming

You mean thats the reason why this C-64 Version is in some points better than the Amiga 500 Version ? 😻
@@craftuar2439 amiga version sounds like a fantasy song plus the amiga uses samples kinda sounds like a old doom song lol
