Just watched seasons 1 thru 5 back to back and am now stuck!...(season 6 isn't on Netflix here yet ) ....I absolutely love Ted Hastings .. he reminds me of the old school copper who'd give u a slap around the ear and set you straight but had a heart of gold.. and its the Irish in him that sets him apart and gives those lines that wonderful authenticity ...

It was the scene when Kate was following Ryan and Terry in the car that drew me in, that shit was so stressful! I had to know what the hell was going on. Then started from s1 and OMG! Might give it another watch. Going to start a petition to show it here in US! 😆 I really hope it comes back for at least another season, it doesn't feel finished to me. Also, I can't stop saying bent coppers in a really bad NI accent, it's a problem.😆
@@cjh516 You have to look out for the bent coppers!! Sadly, a lot of those English shows don't do so well in the USA, with US audiences. "Spooks" which is called "MI5" in the USA is a great show which you would like if you like Line of Duty. It did very well in The UK but not so good in the USA. Also, another favourite of mine "StrikeBack", started out as quite a clever show but then got dumbed down to get better US ratings by adding more guns and less intelligent spy drama. Still a great watch all the same. Give it a try too, but I haven't done the more recent stuff from when the original cast left. So not sure how good it is. But the first 3 or 4 seasons are great fun.
@@TheBisonBalls The period dramas do well here but other shows they have to make a US version, which never works because it loses that British charm, but I get it because not everyone can get the accents. Or, like you said, over do it with the action, it's all about looking cool. That's why I like UK dramas, they're slow but intense, and when there is action it means something. Thanks for the recs! I was going to ask if there were any shows like LoD I could watch. And I did not like LoD, I LOVED LoD! 😅 I know Strikeback, Andrew Lincoln's in that isn't he? I thought about watching it before but it looked too gun-y, but I'll give it a try if you say it's good 😁

Currently binge-watching this British show -- currently on Series 3. Series 1 was harrowing enough, as was Series 2. I am sick-to-death of "Dot" who needs to be eliminated with all of his scheming. Series 3's "Danny Waldron"'s hit-list presumably represents the blokes from the photo who molested him and others, which is why Waldron torture-murdered and then apparently spunked-off (pardon my French) in Linus Murphy's mouth. As I said... harrowing.
