KENYA KWISHA: KPMG Survey Shows That Tanzania Is The Top Investment Destination In The Region

  • A KPMG survey has ranked #tanzania as the preferred investment destination over #Kenya. A comparison between #dongokundu bridge with Dar’s #tanzanitebridge gives the clearest picture. Mega corruption, a bad tax regime, high cost of doing business are some of the factors causing investors flee Kenya. #kplc has been inflating bills by over 40% according to the Auditor General. #kenha #kura & #kerra are just dens of thuggery.

I feel your passion, and you're spitting facts. Unfortunately, most can't grasp a fraction of what you just said regarding these mzungu West UN, WEF, IMF ETC BS!! Lack of knowledge is going to put Kenyans into a very bad state. Kenyans will type s***t without reflecting on statistics.
They're so accepting, Lacking in with, an inferiority issue that has made them look at their oppressors as their gods!!! Nonsense! I'm 😫 😩 😪 🥱

The situation at our airport is openly broad daylight corruption I am a frequent flyer and I have always asked myself why use Buses instead of the Jetways on arrival? Obviously someone got the Bus tender and the ugly Tents. You should see recently constructed airports in Tanzania,Zambia,Rwanda etc and compare to what we have constructed recently it’s a shame!

Dr Griffith from Strathmore school once said that Kenyans are good at talk shows and that whilst we do that, Tanzania would overtake us. He was right.
And we are still talking and abusing Diamond for not speaking good English yet he has a radio station and over 5M total followers combined.
Have you ever seen a German, Italian, Chinese, Indian caring about any level of English in their countries? We are so stupid....I saw something about some committee to discuss cost of living coming up. Seriously? And they earn at least 50k per hour to sit and talk....mliskia wapi 😂😂😂😂

I feel sorry for some Kenyans who despise Tanzanians for not speaking English yet they still live in poverty brought upon them by poor leadership,I have been living in Zanzibar for the last 10 years, their economy is growing, people live atleast a comfortable life, here one can rarely stay a whole day without a meal but in Kenya many people cannot afford a single meal.Their tourism is top notch, tourists are flocking their beaches especially during peak periods like November & December. There is corruption here in TZ but not like in Kenya where it is normalised. Kenyans need to make better choices in the ballot.

The rate at which this over taxation has discouraged investment, it has discouraged expansion, it has encouraged retrenchment & layoffs not to mention the numerous licenses (for instance one requires 18licenses to run a restaurant), high cost of electricity & fuel its no suprise that Tanzania a country economically brought down by ujamaa socialism is now overtaking Kenya. You can't reason with boomers the only language they might comprehend was the thogoto approach 😂

Don't forget to factor in when the survey was conducted. Kenya stands out as the hub with better infrastructure and diversity, along with greater access to finance and an innovative ecosystem and a higher ease of doing business compared to Tanzania's red tape, bureaucracy, and "pole pole" culture. However, Kenya's political instability, particularly during and after elections presents great risks for investors. Remember, Suluhu was boasting about a surge in investors due to protests in Kenya.
