At Salzburg, buy Salzburg card which covers all sights, tram rides, bus, museums, ferry ride, etc. We went in 2018 and bought the 48 hours Salzburg card at train station. You probably can buy Salzburg card from your hotel.

Lovely video, excellently explained! I have been to Austria 4 times and never have been to Salzburg, only Vienna and Villach. I must make a point to visit Salzburg in next trip! I know I can take a train from Vienna to here, do u think 5 days is enough to explore?

@@rokgoesaround thanks for your advice and love all your videos, who needs a lonely planet guidebook anymore when we got videos like yours which explains a lot better than any books could. I still opt for 5 days so that I can enjoy Salzburg leisurely for my first time.
FYI ..... 2.06s ...Hellbrunn gardens were not filming location for "Sound of Music". In Hellbrunn is just gasebo (glass pavilion) which was moved from original filming location (Leopoldskron).

Also buy Salzburg card which covers all transportations, museums, sights, boat ride, tram rides etc. We bought the 48 hours Salzburg card from the train station. You can prob buy Salzburg card from your hotel.
