    Loved the pillow Nichol! I was so happy to be able to watch your live on replay. I don't ever want to miss out on any of your videos! So happy to see how you do your hidden zipper. It might actually be something I will be able to do!! LOL....Thank you so much for the great instructions you shared. You've really got me going on an old cross stitch project that I've loved and never finished. I've also purchased some new projects to do and can't wait to get some of them started! I hope you do another "Stitch with me " live. You are such an awesome inspiration Nichol!🥰

    Hello Nichol, thanks so much for showing how you do the hidden zipper. I had no idea how easy this is! I’ve made tons of pillows over the years but never with the flap. This is great 👍. Thanks 🙏 😊

    Definitely cute! Thanks, Nichol. Since you started your floss tube, I pulled out quite a few cross sticth pieces (large and small) that I had made and stored for years. I brought one to the framing shop and will bring more, however, I am interested in finishing my smaller pieces into pillows. They are so cute that way and WAY cheaper than framing them all. Thanks so much, Jeannine

    Lofting???!!!!? I wish that I would have seen this video 7 months ago! :) I made each of my children a tree with one of my MIL's chenille robes (I held onto that robe for 24 years deciding what to do with it). Anyways, they did come out a bit lumpy and my kids know that they were made with lots of love. Thanks for the tip, Nichol. I am enjoying these new videos of yours.

    This is so cute pillow! I love the design pattern. Hopefully they still have in stock. Just love that. Too bad for me I do not like to sew. But I do have sewing machine which is my mother’s and may not work at all. The machine is Berina brand. Now I like to frame it and hang on the walls. Actually I will be giving my niece and she bought a condos and she can hang on the walls.
    Pillow are great too. Thanks for sharing & love your projects work.. again thank you & Aloha 🫶🏼😊🫰🏼

    Thanks for this great tutorial. I’m excited to say I am working on my first cross stitch that I have to follow a pattern on Aida. In the past I only stitched on preprinted patterns. I’m really enjoying it. I’m much slower I’m sure than most but that’s ok. I chose a pattern that is a finished 5x7 that has craft supplies. I’m going to frame and put in my craft room. Inspiration 🌈That’s for inspiring me to learn. I’d like to do a larger piece next I can make into a pillow.

    Oh my goodness how cute these pillows are. Thanks for the instructions.
    I have Leslie’s cross stitching items from when she passed. This morning I pulled out a pillow pattern she started. It’s the most beautiful cotton. Unfortunately I can’t find what she used. It’s a variegated cotton yarn a five or eight weight. I will email photos and pattern if you like to see them.

    Fabulous video, Nichol! You explained the steps clearly and the camera angles were more than sufficient. I don't know how you would get a camera in that tight space at your sewing machine. I love all your videos. Thank you for sharing your many talents. You have inspired me to learn to cross stitch and possibly get back into quilting. Need more hours in the day to pursue all my interests😊

    Wow that was a great tutorial Thank you Thank you for sharing There was a time when I sewed all my clothes and my daughter's clothes when she was little. I made throw pillows (remember those big double ruffles, we are talking late 70s early 80s) that took forever. Well I need to get out my sewing machine Not even sure if it still works. Again Thank you Nichol

    So cute! I wish I could do that. I bought a cheap sewing machine awhile back to make some easy bags for my crocheting. I was actually able to do that but then something happened with my needle on the sewing machine and I never could figure out how to fix it and so that was that. I need sewing machine lessons.

    LOVED this video. My sweet Momma always mentioned how important ironing was when she taught me to sew many years ago. She also was a stickler for the small neatness details. I have not sewn in 30+ years, but watching you sew, my fingers are itching to dust off my sewing machine. I cannot wait to attempt a hidden zipper. You are so multi-talented with your paper crafting, cross stitching, and quilting. You are a joy to watch! I hope you never lose your interest in crafting. Have a great weekend!

    Thank you for this video! I can do basic sewing but have always stayed away from zippers, but this didn't look too bad! I couldn't figure out why you used such a long zipper and I had no idea that you could cut off the zipper and it would still work! Could you have used a smaller zipper? What is the ratio that you use to determine the zipper length that you use? Lofting I guess means pulling the stuffing into smaller pieces? Again thank you for taking the time to film and edit this!

    Nichol, What an adorable pillow! I love the flap you make to cover your zipper--I am going to start doing the same thing on any pillow that I make; it looks so much nicer than seeing the zipper flaps. I have tried many different tools to turn corners and I have found the one I like the best is the teflon bone folder--it has a gently pointed tip and the surface and point are so smooth they don't catch on fabric or poke through corners and if you work with it, it will give you very nice corner points. I keep one in my sewing room and one in my paper crafting room. They are great little tools. One question, have you found that ironing on the Pellon interfacing makes a big difference in stabilizing your canvas? Thanks!

    OMG...this was soooo helpful! Thank you so much! My husband bought me a Brother Sewing Machine years ago and I've been afraid to use it. I think I was intimidated with all of the tension settings and stitch size . Do you normally just set your stitch to the "middle" setting when it comes to stitch length and tension? I'm not sure if you can answer that, since all machines are made different. It's funny because when my husband bought me my Cricut machine for cardmaking, I took that sucker out and started playing right way! I even learned how to make my own SVGs. I'm not sure why sewing has intimidated me so much. And as for doing zippers....nope. It always looked too difficult. You made it look so easy. I just need to take the machine back out and play. I really appreciate all of these videos. I know it's put more work on you, but this has been sooo wonderful. I want to say thank you....thank you.....thank you so much! I can't wait to see more. For the most part, just showing us what you're doing is very informative. All of your hard work is not wasted, trust me!! I love these FlossTube videos and all of your card videos, of course! You have helped so many of us on here. I'm calling you "Woman of all Wonders"!! You are awesome!!!

    • @NicholSpohrLLC
      @NicholSpohrLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's hard to answer. My machine is different and has a screen and dial. I set my stitch length to 1.5 - 1.8 usually.
