- As the fishing season progresses, angler pressure, roaming baitfish, and weather patterns often cause bass to suspend in the water column rather than relate to the bottom. Historically, this is often the kiss of death for anglers - as suspended bass are notoriously difficult to catch. BUT lucky for us we have Lake Fork Guy to tell us how to catch these tricky suspended bass.

When I’ve been fishing in the bay the fish are thier. There is a lot of fragmites and the water is 3ft deep do they go into the fragmites and hide or do they go into the deep water in the bay???

How would you catch fish more effectively from a dock?
I saw you didn’t have a trailer on your spinnerbait, do you normally run no trailer?
I use a trailer when the fish seem to be short swiping or when fishing in more open water. If you're throwing a spinner bait around cover or grass sometimes it will run better without a trailer.

Yea, it's an excellent bank fishing technique when targeting fish out deep!
I just use wacky and Texas rigged worms with no weight and that’s how I catch them when they’re suspended

Not really, but if you're wearing sunglasses they can sometimes cause them to fog up
Soak em in some cold water.... Man they will cool you down quick. Hell, if the water you're fishing isn't to nasty, dunk it in that.
