FRIENDLY REMINDER FOLKS - This video (and the entire Texas trip) occurred March 12th - 15th which was right before things got crazy in this country. Being in the San Francisco Bay area, I've been on a "shelter in place" order for 1 week straight now and have yet to go fishing (Fortunately, I am still able to work since I'm in healthcare). I've got 1 more video from Texas (the tournament) on the docket but other than that I'm not sure if and when I'll be able to fish locally again. Lakes, parks and other launch ramps are closing one by one despite fishing being a permissible activity with appropriate social distancing.. More than likely, fishing/content will slow down a bit on the channel so if anyone has some creative "at home" video ideas, I'm all ears. Other than that, I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe out there! -gb
If you work in health care wouldnt it have been more responsible to your patients to just go fish on an isolated lake? Why travel across the county and possibly pick something up.
Stay safe man, just got to let this crisis pass. The bass will be fed and big by the time you get out. Stay healthy and safe. We'll still be here. Nice vid tho.
LMAO 😂😂 all the comments on a pre recorded video. Before the lock down. Calm down people. I actually chop it up with greg from time to time. He's taking things seriously. He's not out fishing right now.
It's always humid here in Texas and the closer to the Gulf you go the more it's humid. Some folks call it "the air you wear" but it keeps us from freezing to death in winter. We can fish and golf year round.
lockdown video ideas: how about a tutorial on how you setup your sonar and what you look for? Always interesting comparing notes with other fishermen. No two will ever do it the same way.
I’ve been watching you for two years or more now and I’m hooked on your fishing style. And I don’t even fish. Because of you, I’ve bought two Native Watercraft pedal kayaks and do recreational kayaking and photography out of them. My kids love using them because they’re easy to get around in. Keep doing what do, because I watch. And I enjoy your style of fishing and how you detail everything that you do. Who knows, maybe one day, I’ll try my hand at fishing. Stay well.
I've been fishing a few seasons and was thinking about getting a boat with my bonus money this year after we get out of the lock down. I'd been vacillating on what to get, your videos of the native watercraft titan helped seal that deal for me, and I was stoked to find the native watercraft titan and then to also see that you went Mariner Sails in Dallas and they hooked you up... Yeah. I'm going there to buy my boat and gear, you should show them and other sponsors this because your content guides people to their products. Thanks for what you do my dude.
That lake is a prize fishery for sure. I was there for the Hobie BOS 2 weeks before this. Fish were just starting to move up back then. We had some cold weather when I was there...mornings in the low 30's, and I thought that those Florida strain were gonna freak out. Come to find out they adjust pretty quick there. I would love to go back there again. Next time I might just go for fun...no tournament...lol! Fishing for me is different when a tourney is not on the line! Stay safe out there!
100% on Mariner sails! I stopped in there while I’m here in Dallas for a school and was really impressed. Dave was great and showed me all over the store. Just wish I could’ve fished fork.
Glad you found a brush bite. Where I was at on the lake there wasn’t a brush bite. I got 7 bites the whole tournament pulled 6 of them to the boat. Only able to measure 5 as the 6th one wasn’t a cull. I drove down Thursday night and only pre-fished Friday. That species was a Freshwater Drum lol.
Love fishing the brush, we nearly always used spinner baits and would wake them just below the surface never letting the blades come out of the water. Highly effective and can cover a lot of water for the aggressive ones. Won several tournaments with burning spinners even in the winter especially on rainy days. Your welcome
You can launch anywhere out of Stockton still, or even holt, the whiskey slough area. From there you can get to franks track pretty easy for the monsters too. =)
Greg, Watch you, & enjoy. Don't Yak fish, but really enjoy your vids. Today is 3/23. I live 115 mi. from Fork. Probably going 3/23,(new moon). Stay safe, hope this crap fus it's course sooin. I'll post back to this vid if I land a PB, lol.
Yes. Thanks for going fishing. Smart move on the opposite color on fishing the jig. Here’s hoping you win this thing dude. Bring it back to California. SoSoCal
Dang man, we fished that Tuesday and Wednesday that same week....just missed you. We always stay there at the Marina. I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Allen Sweat. Can’t wait for the tournament video!
I was on a trip to Pyramid NV on 3/15. It was supposed to a 5 Day trip. Unfortunately it was cut short because of the stay home mandate, the closure of our hotel and eat in restaurants. Can’t wait til all this is over.
Heck yeah brother! Hope you lay the smack down during the tournament! I want to see 110 inches or more. I think that will at least get you in the top 5. Good luck, stay safe!
Lake Fork is definately one of those bucket list lakes, hopefully you had a great time. If you get desperate to fish, Folsom lake is still open. Unfortunately I was there on the 22nd of March and the fishing still sucks. Great video as always, stay safe
I absolutely love your videos Greg, and i have improved my casting ability a lot watching your POV Check Cam, but i wish you would give us more information about how to get more involve din these tournaments... Great Videos
It would have been nice to see you catch a Toyota Share Lunker while you were at Fork. There was a guy in our area catch two a week apart. That's a 13 plus lb. bass. It qualified him for the Share Lunker Program twice.
Great video Greg !! While we’re all on lockdown do some rod and reel and tackle trunk videos. I always look forward to your yearly run down of gear you’re using!! Stay healthy dude!!
Hi, I watch your videos of France I follow all your videos ... Good luck for the B.A.S.S kayak nation in France we have no contest of this type the United States do rever for fishing
Great videos as always! If you ever need a kayak near Houston, let me know. The Titan 12 propel is all yours and I’ll deliver it to you and pick it up.
Also Greg it is spawning time down here. We got about 8 over 6 on our little pond a bit north of you. My buddy missed 10 pounds by one ounce. I got a measly 8 pounder and a bunch of fives

Greg Blanchard do some updates gear videos or talk tournament strategy with lake maps and stuff. Or do some bank fishing if ramps are close

A five minute 'fit for fishing' workout would be pretty cool. stay safe Greg, all the best from the UK.
I'm in washington and we're about to have the same order. It's been nice fishing everyday since my work closed down. Crazy times.
While everyone is quarantined, Greg's videos comes in to save the world. appreciate you always bro

Same here. Love the vibe I get when watching your videos.
Greg, can you do a price breakdown video that covers tournament travel and costs (hidden or obvious) for us? It looks super expensive!
I second this!
I like this idea.

Bummer! Fish on beds yet? I would've thought for sure they'd be locked on by now.
@@GregBlanchardFishing I did not see any beds, caught my only fish in 12 feet of water--- water temp was only 54
Interesting that you were able to catch fish on the white swim jig given the conditions.
