I used the first spot a lot during my setup tasks and it's good IF people come by (Big if as it's usually only traveled maybe once or twice in a match and if you don't spawn at RUAF you're missing the first one) and if there's more than 1 person, engaging basically becomes a death sentence unless you can somehow kill everyone in a single mag. Once you have to reload your position is fully compromised, you're stuck in a pipe and the only way to get out is to be animation locked into a vault that will leave you completely open to being shot. If you really want a good spot, go to the weapon/green room building on the factory side of customs, from the corner by the crane/truck shoot the 2nd window to the right, vault through it, and then climb on the boxes on the window closest to the corner of the building. The broken window is concealed by the truck and you have a clear view of anyone coming through the whole in the wall from the military checkpoint, which from my experience is a very high traffic area, you may optionally drop a backpack in the road to bait people. If you buy the key you can use the door as an alternate escape route, nobody ever loots that room and so nobody expects people to be in it. Alternatively you can cross through the gate towards the other side of the factory and enter the first warehouse on the left, vault on the forklift and climb onto the blue containers with the glowstick, shoot the overhead light right above you, and then prone at the edge of the containers to get a perfect view onto the main chokepoint of factory side. However if Old Gas or 1012 is active this spot is almost worthless as very few people will cross through that side of the map, and will instead go through the hole in the wall I mentioned earlier. If you want like at least 1 guaranteed kill per match, just go to smuggler's boat, if it's open hide somewhere in the trees, ideally as far towards the bridge as you can accurately shoot with a shotgun, and as close to the edge of the road as you can get without obscuring your view as it has a lot of tree cover. If smuggler's is closed just go down to junk bridge and crouch in the water to the right of the sunken boat, you can fully submerge yourself and then once someone runs by you pop up and shoot them in the back, don't be impatient, you don't want a head-on engagement. Bonus is your loot will always fall into the water and be unrecoverable.
It's a good feeling when your own Rat Spots don't show up on the Video. Here are the 3 I use to got consistent results. 1) When Spawning at Crack House I head towards the RUAF Exit. jump onto the little broken wooden crate along the Blue Fence, and camp the broken wall. Only your head and gun shows over the fence and I've been seen once in 3 years of playing. 2) When Spawning at Smugglers Boat I simply head down the river into the bushes and camp the Junk Bridge. A little harder to do in the snow but it forces players to run directly at you for head shots. 3) Inside the Second Floor of the Main Dorms Building I camp inside the room with the Pocket Watch Key. You can shoot the person stuck in the unlock animation of Room 204 and people that jump onto the bed are then easy targets for a case of blended legs.
Hahaha I camped the pocket watch room as well, nobody showed up tho!:( Same for the bridge.. so I decided to not post it .. for dire there are tons of rat spots

On crackhouse i always go into the room with the drawers (first room you see when you go up the stairs), and hide between the bookshelf and as soon as they cross or open the drawers i hunt.
