You are right, most cases went that way: 1. the air pump can be easily repaired just for $50 repair kit (seal ring + piston). Main reason - overheat (regularly change the relay) or water inside (regularly change silicagel fill in pipes filter). 2. the #1 problem if your air pump's off - the pump relay, change it every 3 years to avoid it got stuck and make your pump overheat working with no stop until it's broken. 3. Rubber stuff of the air struts is easily changed with a repair kit or aftermarket repaired struts at $200 instead of new $1000.
Doing my car too now. What I learned is this. My right rear side was leaning. I then went into the air compressor under the car. The SOLENOID valve where the red and blue airlines. I switched the lines and it raised my right side and now left is down. I now know for sure it's the SOLENOID valve I have to change. Just ordered it from amazon for $27.00. I'll update if this is it for me to fix my problem.

Only with diag i can lift up, if i turn on engine, compressor not lift up, with diagnostic tool 30 seconds and stand up. I think my compressor work, because i can lift up wit diag tool. What can it be? The airspring or maybe the joint/connection somewhere? Is it make sense if i change the blue red lines you did? Thank you. And why is not lift up when i start the engine? Why i need diag tool to lift up? Thanks
Glad I seen this comment, both my sides drop down overnight. Figured the valve was the cheapest place to start, plus the compressor pumps the car right up...when I open the door So I'm thinking the compressor & shocks are fine. Ordered the valve from Amazon for $27 too, came in 1 day yesterday. Going to change the valve & see tonight, because I don't want it to get any worse

Hello, I have a 2009 BMW750Li. My issues is the the back is overrising on the left driver side, which has the car sitting lopsided for a while. After driving for a while it might level out. At night the car goes all the down almost sitting on top of the tires. I had a new air strut put on the right passenger side that was lagging. Now it’s still doing the same thing. Do you have any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

I replaced it with a $400 aftermarket compressor & it rode fine for a few months. Now the car stays up in the rear but every little bump I drive over feels like a large pothole. If u replace the module do u have to program the module to the car for it to work … when I put it in it worked one time and it will not working anymore
Great video...and I think I have the same solenoid issue on my left side that xioncal1 had with his right side....I have a 2013 740i M Sport and the left rear ONLY SAGS when temperatures dip below like 60 degrees....weird....I wonder why that is, but it must be the solenoid....any other thoughts?

From before, we still have an issue, where the compressor is running, even with the car off, and locked. Do you have any idea why this is? Please answer as soon as you can, these problems are causing a lot of suffering.
I have a question. My 2016 750li xdrive driver's front strut is level while the car is running but after the car is off overnight the driver's front is very low. I am now out of warranty. I have changed my own struts in my 535xi so I have some experience but not familiar with air suspension, do you think its the strut or could it be something else since it holds pressure while the car is running.

The right side is up but the driver side front and rear are all the way down. I checked the fuses that you mentioned in your video and they seem ok. I don't hear the air compressor running though. @@vincentaguirre3959 under your strut. Behind rotor. Quick 10 min max to remove and easily install. I searched 2012 bmw 750li height air sensor on ebay and got 1 for 25 dollars. If that's not your problem then it might be your Air Solenoid Valve for your air compressor. Amazon for 27 and up. Should solve it for u.

Good evening. I have a problem with the air suspension rear. After I replaced both rear air suspension,the one on the right side, go up , but, it keep up itself. So, I’d have trying to re-calibrated, but it doesn’t going down any more to balance with the other side, so what to do…?????

This was spot on . One of the best videos regarding failed rear suspension compressor. I replaced mines and it wasn't that hard. This guy is great.

do you check the Selenoid Valve? before you said the compressor was bad check the Selenoid Valve

Changed the compressor but now the motor won't stop running. The car raises and stays but the compressor motor keeps running.

just replaced both rear shocks and air compressor on my 2012 740Li. now rear is up high and level control malfunction light will not go off. help
It is measured from the bottom edge of the rim, not from the lip.

Or try to unplug your battery for 30 minutes to reset everything since u put in a new compressor and switch. That might help.
