Day one at Falcon, That was SKETCHY!

- Fishing on the first day of our trip down to falcon was windy. We had a boat come from the Mexican side of the lake to tell us he didn't appreciate me filming, I do not know what he was saying but he wasn't happy. Could he have been Cartel? No clue, but I wasn't going to stick around and find out.

Alot of people have gone missing on that lake. I would be strapped up. Anytime fishing that lake.
Been in that exact spot, exact same thing happened to me...at least you were in sight of the border!

Same set ups I use KLX's and Revo sx's.... I also use lews reels but mostly revos. The KLX'S are the best rods ever
I was fishing deep in Mexico on the North end of the lake in a cove and we observed like 4 boats on the bank and a truck transporting whatever via a truck up a dirt road to what looked like a ranch house on the hill. They stared at us a lot but we didn't take out a camera.We were also not approached but it gave us the willies for sure. There were nets in the area so maybe??? Who knows. Fishing Falcon can be dangerous yes, but then again, perspective. I live in California which has a lot more crime than the area round Falcon does if I really think about it.

Cant tell what he is saying but ive fished that area and they usually have a net with no markers from that area towards marker one. this is a long net and its tied at rip-rap.

Might be a guy running gill nets on the US side, or he might have wanted to steal your boat. They stole my dad friends boat one time and this is what he said what happened

You should have reported it to the Coast Guard since technically speaking, he was in territorial waters.
just be careful....me and my brother fish, that same general area, where you guys were at. ( bassbrotherz).. but anyways everytime we go, i do carry with extra mags, if you know what i mean. you just never know. we have our concealed licenses , so we carry legal.
Jesse Lopez Jr I have my conceal carry as well but carrying into Mexico is a bad idea. If you were to get stopped by Mexican police they would throw you in jail for having a weapon.
Never carry in Mexico they will take you if they find it . if it’s sketch just leave they won’t harm you if you leave when they ask you to

We go to falcon every summer and the locals tell us it’s a unspoken rule to not record.
Believe you were on the Mexican side. Not the best side to be on for safety reasons. Stay on the US side and things should be ok.

Dude I would NEVER go to Falcon! And neither should you! I don't care how good the fishing is. It's just not worth the danger. As someone said else said people have gone missing on that lake.

Jesus Chris! Whatever happened to someone from a third world country curious to know what a GoPro camera is? They can’t afford that shit and don’t see it often. Take it easy. For all we know as non-Spanish speakers they might of been curious.
Awesome video but i wouldn't put stuff like "...he didnt appreciate me filming" in the description especially when you have no idea what he was actually saying, makes you seem dishonest but other than that, keep it up!👍

The style of boat had nothing to do with what made it sketchy, it was sketchy because he approached me and it occurred less than a mile from Nueve Cuidad Guerrero which has had a lot of trouble with cartels in the past. I have been in close quarters with many netters in that area many times, and never had a problem. This encounter was different, and I never said he was cartel, I said he could have been (Which is true). Also if you watch the whole video I clearly state I have no idea what he was saying. Don't make something out of nothing.
