Don't stress over the microphone - it wasn't that big a deal. I have an LFA Apollo 11 also, but have not had it ported. That may happen or may not - I like the gun just fine as it is. Mine doesn't like cheap polymer coated range ammo and some ( but not all ) JHP rounds. Regular FMJ ammo runs fine no matter what weight the projectile is. I don't ever plan to use the Apollo 11 as a defensive weapon, it's just a range toy. So I am not stressing over the few failures to function with the low-grade ammo. I have a 20 round Prodigy mag that runs fine but will not lock the slide after the last round. All the 17 round mags work fine, but that 20 round mag just won't activate the slide stop. Overall, I rate the LFA a solid 9.5 out of 10. If you have not yet tried one, look into the Stealth Arms Platypus. I know, the name is funky but the gun is GREAT. I like mine so much I plan to buy another one as soon as they release the .40S&W caliber for order. They announced at Shot Show 2024 that they are bringing out .45ACP, .40S&W, .357Sig and 10MM versions. Basically every caliber for which Glock makes magazines . Yeah, they run Glock mags - good ones, cheap ones, old ones... they all seem to run. Good video!
I have the 5" version. I didn't have any issues running hollow points with the checkmate mag or the 17rd Staccato Mag I bought for it. I have since installed a 9lb spring into it. Just need to do another reliability test on that.

Thanks for the video. I think others mentioned check the mags. Also those were feeding better with less than full mags. I have had issues feeding checkmate mags in my Apollo but atlas mags have been flawless. I just cleaned the checkmate mags but I may switch to the Atlas over power spring in the checkmate to see if that helps.
Yeah my issue was the mags. I went out and ran it again with a variety of different mags and didn’t have any issues with it. I just didn’t record it sadly

I say do it you will love it. I plan to get one as well. I just ordered the Mac 9. Going to do a comparison between that Tisas br9 carry Ds, the Mac 9, the Apollo 11, and the Prodigy
They were wrong saying thry did porting on one of these a year ago... They werent around a year ago.. You ARE the first actually documented person with it ported... I want a compact so bad or a full size.. But unfortunately the money isnt right at this time.. Kids n fam n bills gotta come first.. Probably gonna sell my G19 gen 5 mos with a gpt and a overwatch shoe, and ameriglo trooper ns's that should gete half way there lol
Bro, my Apollo 11 needs to a grip safety tuning. I have found that grip safety doesn't fit right into my hands..I large hands but stubby fingers so the grip feels a bit blocky to me. I have to drop my grip and make sure the safety drops below 50% or else I will get a failure to feed. I can actually predict if the gun is going to feed ,or not feed before I fire the round! I have found the sweet spot for it to feed flawlessly without a tuning, but under duress if I have to draw I know I won't be perfect all the time. So I gotta get that tuning . I am determined to make this my duty gun..it's got too much upside not to be.
So when I had mines worked on I had to swap out the safety’s as well. Mines has the first batch of the mim safety’s. But there are so many options out there for a good reliable safety. And depending on how you grip the gun you can always run the guarded safety if it fits your hands better. It’s a great gun and it has so much potential. I would love to see what you end up doing to it.

That’s a pretty great idea. I need to look into that as well. Because I like my prodigy magazines. And would love for them to perform better.
Looks like ya might just have a bad mag... Run a few of each ammo, through each mag to see which mag/ammo combo is having the issue

Why not just use the factory check mate mags. I hear the prodigy mags and others have all the issues.
At the time of filming it I didn’t have the factory ones with me sadly. I didn’t have those when I used the factory magazines
