What is the outer periphery ring? Does it help sound? Your records are amazing, I may actually buy a few pressings myself but my system is nowhere near yours (P6 -2020 model/Jasmine 2.5phono/ Rega Ania Pro/Teac 580 for cd recording/Swagman PSU linear supply).
Hi Bob, I must admit to having a few MJQ CD's and enjoy them immensely. There is a lovely quality to this recording , the Ethos is a real keeper I think. How are you finding it?
Hi Nigel. The MJQ are the epitome of cool, laid back jazz - even when they're swinging! The Ethos is a very natural sounding cartridge in my opinion - nothing leaps out to grab you and first impressions can be a little misleading. But you soon realise it's doing everything right! So definitely a keeper ;o)

It was originally recorded in all analog(hint). Look at "see all versions" to see it was 1960.
