What’s so amazing about him is that also his animator for super flat monogram via Louis Vuitton, was none other than mamoru hospital, the same guy for summer wars and digimon. It explains the simular style in summer wars, digimon, girl who lept through time, and Belle.
Plus his complex con tie in to big music artists names like Kanye, Billie Ellish, and even Pharrell.

Takashi Murakami came on board about 25 years ago to integrate otaku culture with contemporary art, but I remember that he was not seen by the otaku of the time.
Otaku were disgusted by works that featured giant-breasted girls jumping rope with their own mother's milk.
