Thank you!!! The Garmin website was unhelpful. Your video had me connected to my HR monitor within 30 seconds.
Glad it helped!
Helpful battery saving tip!
Glad that it helped!
Thankyou so much, I was wondering for 10+ mins if the watch was connected to the HRM
After watching your video and going directly to sensor to add and connect - it worked like a charm
Thanks! Glad it helps
Thank you so much, after numerous failed attempts, I watched your video, put it on and it finally connected!
Glad it helped!
Super helpful, used this on my 9Round boxing monitor! Didn’t even know it could do this!
Glad it helped!
@@RunWithMyDog please tell that if it works with forerunner 245 it’s coming tomorrow
Thank you, very helpful and clear to the point!

You're so welcome!
Thank you - that solved my problem 🙏
You're welcome!
Thanks for your video! Question: If the Garmin watch has a built-in HRM, does the HRM Dual override the watch's built-in sensor?
Yes. If an external HRM is connected it will override it during an activity. You'll be able to see that the green light of the Watch HRM is turning off during an activity while you still see HR data on the watch
@@RunWithMyDog thank you :)
Thanks. Couldn’t get my monitor to connect until I wet the entire length of the rubber sensor pad. I was missing that until I picked that up from your gesture. Also, I appreciate your tips on saving battery life!
Thank you, really helpful!
Glad it helped!
Todah achi, great vid
Bekeif :)
Thanks buddy! Yes it was helpful =)
Glad to hear it!
It worked, thanks!
Glad it helped
You are super thanks
Thanks! glad it helped
Super helpful, thank you! How can I view my heart rate from the strap during a workout? (I have a Morpheus HR monitor)
Glad it helped!
If your watch says it's connected when you're starting the workout the HR data that appears on your watch during the workout should come from the strap
Excellent thank you
So nice of you
Thank you!
You're welcome!
thanks!!!
You're welcome
If i setting heart rate alert on garmin, is the alert will be works base on polar h10 or garmin's heart rate sensor?
If you pair it to your watch the Hr should be based on the POlar h10, you can check it out by looking if there's a green light coming from your watch during the activity.
If not, it means the HR is based on the external HR
question: still after taking all of these steps on my fénix 3 the watch still can’t locate any sensors. do you know why that might be!
I'm not sure, Fenix 3 is pretty old now, I don't know if it supports newer sensors
My Venu 2 plus disconnects after 60 secs and back to normal watch heart rate.
I’ve tried turning that off etc but still no good. Any ideas please? 🙏
Which type of HRM do you have? If it's an ECG strap like the HRM dual, maybe you should make sure that the connectors are wet enough before starting the activity. Also you may try another HRM to see if the problem persists
It’s from my garmin Edge 520. I’ve just read that external HR will only work during an exercise so that makes sense. The wrist HR is so far off when zwifting on bike it’s crazy. I don’t really need the watch HR as have other devices but nice to know how they work. Thanks for your reply
If I finish a run with it does garmin tell me that this run was done with the chest strap heart rate monitor?. I dont wanna use i t now think it is working, but in the end it took the data from my watach and not from my polar h10
Are you sure?
Please check when you start the activity and during if you see the green light on the back of your watch, if not it means that the chest strap was working
I have bought a new coros heart rate monitor and am unable to connect to my garmin vivoactive hr. I have disconnected and restarted everything but that hasn’t resolved it. When I add new sensor / heart rate, I get the message wear to connect, which I am doing. Can you offer any solution?
Hi, So did you try to wear both and still wasn't successful
@@RunWithMyDog yes, I wore both the HRM and watch.
any other suggestions
Hi, can I use a polar chest strap and connect to the vivoactive 4s?
Yes you can, under "Sensors" in menu
My G245 is just searching and searching, keep on getting message wear HR monitor to connect, which I am and the censors are wet....mystery, maybe batteries need changing?
Maybe try to remove and re add the sensor?
@@RunWithMyDog in the end a battery replacement worked...
can you pair this on a garmin instinct watch ?
Hi, absolutely!
Does it work with Apple watch?
Yes
