“Heat from Fire, Fire to Heat” is what a trans TH-camr called “TransVoiceLessons” -who posts videos on how to feminize your voice -uses to help change the tone of their voice from masculine to feminine, which became a bit of a meme between their viewers.
If I handmake an individual plushy landshark and send it to you, will you show it? :3 If been making plushies for my cousins for a bit now, wana experiment and this is too good an oportunity not to try ^^
So true. I named my female cat Manfred and pretty much use whatever pronoun I feel like at the moment for her and oh boy, some people get really confused or try to correct me.
My partner and I started off in a lesbian relationship, then they came out as trans and I realized I was bi. Then I came out as trans and now we’re in a gay relationship. “What’s your letter?” Yes. I am the LGBT. I am all of them. Fear me for I am your gay god.
"Did you all coordinate this?!" You.... you literally coordinated us when you asked us to subscribe. When you said 'hey people, do a thing' and people do the thing you are the coordinator.
‘Heat from fire, fire from heat,’ is a phrase that helps with voice training! The ‘h’ sound helps open up the wind pipe to help reduce strain and the ‘e’ sound helps brighten the voice! The open vowel sound from ‘fire’ helps translate that brightness from the ‘e’ sound to your other vowels so your brightness is more consistent! We trans women repeat that phrase every time we need to ‘reset’ our voice so we don’t accidentally sound like a dude.
@@sunsetskye483 I’m honestly not sure! I researched a couple of videos to help answer this and it seems the main thing that works in reverse is mouth shape. Trans women are taught to try to make our mouths smaller by raising our tongue and larynx in order to increase the brightness. Therefore, opening up the back of your mouth in a yawn shape should help darken the tone of the voice and should lend itself to androgyny/masculinity. You’ll still want to avoid straining but it’s especially important with us trans women because as we go higher with our pitch, our bodies tend to tense up more which makes our voices sound fake or forced. If your voice is strained, it doesn’t sound natural. So keep a relaxed airway and open the back of your mouth and it should help considerably!
The realistic ones are actually pretty expensive from what I’ve found; most STPs I’ve seen are just a simple tube with a spoon/cup shape on the top end to hold in place. But yeah, that’s the purpose
when i was in 4th grade, a new girl joined our class and i honestly fell head over heels. she was my gay awakening in a way. she moved away after 5th grade and i didn’t see her again until i was in 8th grade, we were on a majorette team together. we exchanged numbers and it went uphill from there. he came out to me as trans, i came out to him as nonbinary. he went from being my first girl crush to the first guy i’ve actually been happy with. we just had our 9 month anniversary.
Fun fact: I wasn't allowed to play dungeons and dragons because it was satanic and my mom thought I would go to hell. Now I'm trans and according to her going to hell- should have let me play DnD mom!
I'm a cis DND player... So does that mean I'll be able to hang out and play games with my trans friends in the afterlife? Heck, your mom's idea of hell sounds pretty cool!
Imagine Satan turns out to be the boggest D&D nerd and knows every bit of trivia and whenever he meets someone who's into D&D he completly switches gears and can barely restrain himself from asking "WANNA PLAY!?"
Fun fact: that five-in-one Irish Spring is supposed to be shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, and DEODORANT. I refuse to accept that you can use deodorant to effectively condition your hair.
Like... a put-on-after deodorant or a wash-off deodorant? Either way... yeah, I'm going to draw the line at those products only being maybe 2 similar things at once. Like, your face is part of your body; you can realistically use body wash on your face.
I am sorry but I think furbies are fallen angles I have heard too much shit about those devil creature and if you think I am wrong this is a except from a youtuber who a three part video series about these hell spawns the story goes like this. The child had lost their cat a few weeks ago and their parrents decided to buy them a furby to Brighten their day and the first things it said was it burped and said kitty all gone. Fuck the hell spawn I say they are demons the weirdest thing a furby can do is nothing literally be well behaved so that means it has not been possessed.
Fred Clark, a religious blogger I read, had an interesting take on Dungeons and Dragons. He said that while all the satanic stuff the church was pushing was nonsense, what was actually dangerous to the church was the alignment grid. Growing up evangelical, he and his friends had their minds blown by the idea that being good and being obedient were separate things.
I’ve only played Dungeons and Dragons once, but I distinctly remember drowning my brother’s character in bees and using his blood to summon satan. I then asked satan to give me his power, and rolled a 20 for persuasion. I left the game with the power of the devil and millions of bees in my wake
The only time I played DnD, i distinctly remmember my father being a total bitch and asking to slap him. The Dungeon Master just said, "very well, roll dexterity please." And that fucking killed me. I've loved the game ever since
I have also only played DnD once at school cause it was part of an end of school thing Some guy told me that my named sounded fake so a bit later while fighting an enemy (can't remember what) I rolled to use him as a shield I got 14 or 15 So I used him as a shield successfully but he was injured severely... So mission failed successfully I honestly didn't know what I was doing but it seemed a few others didn't either
For anyone curious on SCP 113, here's a bit from the wiki and a TLDR: SCP-113 resembles a small, polished piece of red jasper. Analysis shows that SCP-113 is not composed of jasper, but [REDACTED] composition similar to that of other recovered objects. When SCP-113 comes in direct contact with the flesh of an organism possessing sex chromosomes, the organism's physical characteristics associated with gender and biological sex are transformed (including genetics and secondary sexual characteristics), either reversed or altered. This process occurs in four stages: Stage 1: Lasts approximately 0.2 seconds. SCP-113 bonds with the cells that it touches and induces an unidentified chemical change. This process causes tissue damage similar to mild burns, and SCP-113 cannot be removed from contact with the subject until all stages complete. Stage 2: Lasts approximately 20 seconds. SCP-113 emits a low-intensity electromagnetic wave which travels through the subject's body. Subjects may experience nausea and vomiting, along with a stinging sensation throughout the body. Stage 3: Lasts approximately 60 seconds. Throughout this stage, the subject's cellular makeup is temporarily transformed. Altered cell composition ranges widely from being unidentifiable as human, to a unique variation of partially-differentiated stem cells. The subject will experience intense stimulation of all sensory nerves during the final 20 seconds of this stage, and describe this part of the process as extremely painful. Subjects in poor health may die of shock in this stage. At the end of this stage, the subject's biological sex is permanently altered. In standard cases, the subject's biological sex will be changed to the opposite biological sex. All primary and secondary sexual characteristics are altered accordingly. Stage 4: SCP-113 disengages from the subject and becomes inert. Gender identity of human subjects is not typically altered by SCP-113. In subjects with nonstandard gender identities (typically gender identities which do not match their pre-exposure biological sex), this usually results in positive psychological effects. In subjects with standard gender identities (male/female, matching pre-exposure biological sex), psychological effects are usually negative. These appear to be natural psychological reactions, and not an anomalous effect of SCP-113. *TLDR: touch stone get hurt but sex change gender same*

Aight OT, since there's nothing too objectionable to answer this time around: - STP is a Stand-To-Pee Device. Trans men use it for... situations that I hope are obvious enough not to need explanation. (EDIT: I'd also add that it is compatible with any AFAB peeing situation, so not strictly "trans men", and is often used by outdoors-y types.) - "Heat from fire, fire from heat" is phrase repeated during a popular trans-oriented voice retraining exercise that can be found on youtube. - SCPs are... okay this one's a longer explanation if you're unfamiliar. Short version is they're cursed artifacts, cryptids, supernatural locales and other anomalous phenomena whose characteristics and containment procedures are documented in "declassified files" on a canonized wiki on the internet, which are allegedly being kept secure by a shadowy organization intent on maintaining normalcy. Think of it like an internet era crowd-sourced eldritch horror mythos, in the stylings of Warehouse 13 or S.H.I.E.L.D., and expect regular nightmare fuel if you dive into it. SCP-113 specifically, is a magic(?) gemstone that permanently swaps your chromosomal sex and associated physical characteristics in under two minutes if you touch it; no surgery or hormone therapy, no effect on your brain. The "dangerous" part is that if you try to use it more than once in quick succession, you have an increasing chance of it making an "oopsy". Y'know how you never want to hear your surgeon say "oops"? You get the idea. - OT glossing over *Abigail Thorn* of PhilosophyTube at 12:30 hurts my soul. The Trans Princess of TERF Island. My son came out as transgender a month or so ago. We kind of saw it coming, he'd always seen gender as a spectrum and was comfortable wearing whatever. My husband and I are supportive, of course, and we're happy to know his girlfriend is too. My brother understands, and so do my parents. My mom has MS, though, and it's started effecting her memory. We know she's trying, and that's what matters most to our family. My dad, upon hearing my son wants to call himself Ren, has called him Kylo ever since. My dad's just as happy as a grandfather can be, because now he can make all the Star Wars jokes.
As another transmasc named Ren but doesn't have support from parents or other family members except siblings, thank you for supporting your son. You are an absolute treasure.
As a non-binary who chose the name Ren for that exact reason (I like Star Wars) that’s so awesome! So happy to hear that a fellow Ren has supportive parents!!
When my brother came out as trans, they told me the name they picked was Dante... He was not aware of all the memes from my gen about "And Dante from Devil may Cry!" He was not happy at first 🤣

About the Furbies: The Furby Boom, which I owned once, has multiple moods. These moods were expressed with different voices and would either be male or female. The babies could only have one of these but the actual Furby would display all traits, meaning that Furby Booms are genderfluid :)
I used to have one of these furbies, and I just used different pronouns for the different traits, and one day my mom asked why I did this and I just explained that it’s what the furbie would have wanted
I am a young transfemme, and I have watched these videos over and over again, since my family isn't very accepting. These videos are one of the only things that give me much comfort about who I am, because most of the time I doubt if my existence is valid. My mom constantly makes me feel terrible about who I am, and she doesn't even know I'm trans. But OT, your videos make me feel like I have a place in life, even if it's an incredibly small one, I at least feel like I have some reason to exist when I watch these. Thank you for making me feel like I matter OT.
It's not much, but you have my best wishes, and know that you are valid just like every other person in the world. And you're not alone, not even a little bit.
It may not mean as much coming from a random stranger on the internet than it would coming from your family, but I love and accept you. You are valid; your feelings are valid; your identity is valid. If they can't accept you for who you are, they don't deserve to know you. I hope you find people who will love and support you and can get away from your family's blind denial soon.
You are valid for who you are, and if people don't love and respect you for who you really are then the problem lies with them and not with you. One day you will build a circle of people around you who love you for who you are and you will deserve that circle. Much love from some random dude in Australia.
After watching SPN, and Good Omen, i don't think I want to be an angel. I'd rather be a big and powerful dragon, that can put fear in everyone's heart!
@@cara-seyun mnemonic devices are memory techniques or exercises to help you retain information. Like "30 days has September, April, June, and November" for remembering the months that have 30 days vs 31 (or 28). Or "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally" for PEMDAS or the order of operations for math equations. In this case "heat from fire, fire from heat" is a vocal mnemonic for trans women to train their voice to sit in a higher register than it originally did. The combination of light consonants and bright vowels make it easier to find a more "feminine" tone to speak in. Edit: I know I'm hella late, but I hope this info is helpful to someone
OT's teacher: until told otherwise, use 'they' to refer to people Me: has taught my English teacher 'they' can be used in a singular manner when a gender isn't specified, backed up by big-name dictionaries. (Said teacher told me later that when going over my writing they kept almost marking stuff I wrote as wrong because I used singular they and having to stop themselves from doing so. I really hope if anyone else asks they now say it's an option, even if I don't expect them to use or introduce it themselves...)
Well, 'you' is actually the 2nd-person _plural_ pronoun, so if anyone tells you that you can't use "they" as a singular pronoun, demand that they only use "you" for groups of people and return to using "thou" for the singular. You can also slap them with, "It's 'you/ye', like 'I/me' … or dost thou say, 'He gave I a ride to school'?"
that's cool. the first conversation I had with my English teacher was me teaching her about singular they. it was fun. afterwards, she said I could become an author (conversation was online. no idea what gave her that idea. I can't even write a paragraph without spacing out for several hours and forgetting what I was writing about)
A couple of months back I was reading a psychology paper where the author had to include a footnote explaining singular they due to the amount of non-binary people in the research pool. Which is just sad that it needed a footnote to explain.
Me a year ago: I’m just a cis straight girl trying to learn more about trans people because most of my friends are trans and I want to be supportive, purely for educational purposes, no other reason whatsoever. Me now: *Bi Trans Boy* I guess I was wrong…
You got turned around. The same thing happened to one of my friends who started hanging out with his trans friend, and then he (she now) turned into a trans girl eventually…
@@rogermrogerm Your causality's flipped. Research suggests not that "When you spend time around trans people you become trans," but that "When you're trans, you subconsciously gravitate towards trans people."
@@rogermrogerm It's a similar case with gay people, neurodiverse people, and other not-necessarily-visible marginalizing identities -- when you're black, you don't subconsciously seek out other black people, it's just a social reality. You were born from a black woman, grew up around black people, etc. You don't necessarily need to actively kindle your community as we do.
Ok, so story time. When I first started questioning my gender, I was reading a lot of stuff about "binders" and how they make your chest flat and whatever. So I went to the closet, grabbed a three-ring binder from elementary school, shoved it up my shirt, and looked disappointedly at my reflection before realizing that wasn't what any of those internet transmascs meant by "binder" at all.
@andrewwest78 A school binder is a closable piece of some hard substance, usually plastic, with metal rings for storing notebooks, folders, and papers. An enby and trans type binder is a "clothing" type of thing that you wrap around your chest and back and that is meant to be tight, thus pushing boobs back and making the chest seem flat

Respect for genders in dnd goes way back: I remember once in a game I was when one said they wanted to play a different gender that we thought they were. Dm gets his serious face and said: "Only if you are prepared to treat this character as if it were you and behave decently and reasonably for who they are." I still think about it some times.
D&D was one of the ways my friend hinted that she is trans. I’m currently devising a way to use D&D to come out as a trans woman to my grandpa and close friends. D&D is a wonderful game.

I’m Catholic and have been really frustrated with the way my fellow believers have been acting towards this and many other topics. I haven’t gone to Mass in half a year and have been putting a lot of my effort into trying to understand the LGBT community after a trans boy showed up to youth group and was immediately banned from being called his preferred name. He didn’t come back. That’s what got me to leave. Thank you for this channel because it’s really been helping me a lot. I’m thinking of going to a pride festival to show support and learn more. I hope that I’m not overstepping my boundaries, being a straight person. Either way. Thank you and happy birthday. Everyone deserves love and respect, including the LGBT community.
I can't speak for the entire community but as a queer Christian, I think that anyone who shows firm support for lgbtq+ people is a welcome ally, regardless of religion. It is good to see more people of faith adopting an accepting mindset and fighting back against those who use God's love to justify hatred.
Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself and all these people went "no, I don't think I will." Like, if they can't grow some humanity then the least they can do is be silent.
Fellow Christian, raised Irish Catholic, 15 years of Catholic school. I had a similar sort of story. I felt myself push away from the religion as a concept because of the people who claimed to represent it and how cruelly they would treat me. But eventually I came back around and realized "Fuck these guys, that's MY God you're defaming by being a shit head and insisting it's some divine mandate." The amount of people who've been bigoted to me "in the name of God" who have categorically read less of the bible than I have, knows less about the faith than I do, and can't even list out the Beatitudes for Christ's sake is just staggering. I'm glad a sister in faith such as yourself can see through them as well -- may we bring back the Jesus they buried.

I think an STP in the context of the LGBTQ+ and the trans community, is an acronym for a “Stand to Pee” device, I’ve heard it is typically used by trans men/trans masculine and nonbinary individuals, allowing them to stand to pee, to avoid dysphoria when going the bathroom. This is all just from memory of course, so I am likely wrong on some points, if I’ve said anything wrong please correct me! As someone who used to do janitorial for A CHURCH, the ladies' room was as, if not more, disgusting as the men's room. I was constantly asking myself, "If they're willing to do this to a CHURCH restroom, God's bathroom, what does their bathroom at home look like?!
Some people like to “hover” over the seat to pee because they’re afraid of sitting and it gets everywhere. Ironically making the seat dirty. There is worse stuff than that but that’s pretty common in the ladies room whenever I’ve cleaned them.
As someone who used to nanny for a church-going family...the men's bathroom didn't allow children, as children are the "women's responsibility". And I can tell you, children are disgusting. the 7-year-old once was throwing a temper tantrum while I was trying to change the infant, I don't even remember what about, and grabbed the dirty diaper and threw it against the wall! In an effort to damage control, I was just trying to get the three hellions out of there. I tried to ask the mom if she could watch the kids so I could go clean up after them and she said I should be able to manage it, besides, she was busy and they have people they pay to clean the bathrooms. She wasn't busy, she was just sitting and having coffee and gossiping with other church moms. Needless to say that once my contract was done, I was out of there. So yeah, this is likely why women's bathrooms often have a lot of extra filth.
I found out about the bathroom cleanliness myth when I developed chronic joint pain and my workplace decided to close the ladies' room on our floor for a month. Only the bottom floor has accessible toilets, because in their heads you only need them on floors with employees in wheelchairs. Next ladies room was one floor up or down. Couldn't take the stairs, because ouch. Elevators were very slow, and as much of a hike as the toilets. By the time I got there, I could go to the gents' or pee in the elevator, and the latter had cameras. The men's room was cleaner, mostly because I worked someplace where real men don't sit to pee, so the stalls got used rarely. Scared the frick out of some male coworkers by just opening the stall door when they thought they were alone in the room. I also learned that, while men's toilets look clean, a frightening number of men do not wash their hands after using a urinal. Like, adult, upstanding men. With kids. And mortgages. Earning 60k a year. I was almost grateful to return to the ladies' room, where, yes, there was occasionally blood on the walls, but at least you could see the ick and no one gave you the side-eye for knowing how to operate the towel dispenser.
I didn’t realize until the millisecond I clicked skipped ads but I got a Matt Walsh ad and heard “what is a woman?” and a glimpse of presumably him, wearing a post board thing (like the ones outside of shops, but on him as a vest) that says “What is a woman”. Ah, TH-cam.
The dnd picture reminded me of a character i played for a one shot dnd game. They used all pronouns. Their name was Egg (short for a long goliath name starting with the letter E g.). They were a 7 or 8 foot goliath who honestly was too stupid to understand what sex and gender was . he was aroace and when asked to dress up for a party, they wore a skirt, button up, and a fedora, none of which matched at all . their appearance confused everyone but the character overall just wanted to enjoy life and make friends and i miss them lol.
That sounds so fun! I really enjoy mixing it up for roleplays, it must seem to my friends that I just role a die or flip a coin when determining my character’s gender lol
Awwww my goodness I love them ☺️🥺 thank you for sharing the loveliness of Egg. I’m currently playing an Android envoy in a Starfinders game. Their name is Zasher (designation Z-Æ-R21), they’re surprisingly good at diplomacy, surprisingly bad at interpersonal party conversations, and it was somehow decided that they’re always dressed sharply. They were once tricked by our sarcastic scientist into holding a giant leaf over their head to protect from carnivorous flowers. They were the only one with a leaf. They were supposed to be “strategically gender fluid” (bc I found out that the sex change potion exists and was like “well I was going to do an enby anyways and they’ll need all the help they can get with diplomacy, why not let them change to whichever sex is considered “better” on each planet?”) buuut then the GM decided that there wouldn’t be sexism lol. I figured the original plan could go into their backstory to become how they found out they like they/them. So now they just use any pronouns, but the only one who calls them anything but they/them is me when I occasionally call them she/her. Come to think of it, I’m not sure my party knows they use any lol.
at my last therapy session my therapist gave me an assignment, just now was my first time doing it, and since she said I should do something I enjoy afterward, of course I’m watching an OT video and drawing :)

Gearing up for a casual D&D game one time, the DM asked me "what race?" I decided Drow sounded interesting. He goes "what gender?" And I figured "What the hell" and opted for a female, just because it'd be a change. He goes "good choice, female Drow get more initial magic spells than male Drow." Fun game, even with a first level Drow. So when I joined a campaign I opted for a female Drow - she was insanely powerful by the end of that campaign. Best character I ever played in D&D - and all because once I though "ah, I'll do something different for once."
@@annoyanceking i once had an aasimar warlock with a fiend pact. Since they were an aasimar they had an angelic guide. But they also now had a demon patron. So the magics of the two collided and interacted and warped so that the female aasimar now had two other consciousnesses in her body: one a piece of the angelic guide, one a piece of the demon lord, whilst no longer being connected to the actual entities, and still having access to their power. All 3 are in control of the body, and while the demon and angel parts usually cancel each other out so the original can act, and so that the demon part doesn't murder everyone in the night, they can all speak freely (unless they try to talk at the same time, because there's only one mouth and attempting to say multiple things at once in one regular body results in gibberish). They now use they/them pronouns, (the aasimar is female the angel is agender, and the demon is a demiboy, so there's that, but even if they had the same gender identities they refer to themselves in the plural anyways), and go by Legion. Everyone else in the party just assumes their insane, which is intentional on my part. Also that's the second time in a row I intentionally did that. My character from the previous campaign seemed crazy as well but wasn't. Idk why but I really love that trope.

Like if you were wearing the wrong body instead of the wrong clothes/hair style. Imagine feeling this body and how others address to you so wrong that earring your own name feels like been stabbed” With my parents it worked, my mother could even relate (to some extent of course) because her mother once cut her hair so short she felt like a boy and she cried a lot...
My character is a changeling too and uses any pronouns. My changeling is a bard sorcerer that no longer wanted to hide. Coincidentally that gave me the courage to also stop hiding.
You know, I also have a Changeling for my dnd rouge spy character, who is basically Double Trouble from She-Ra who is also a “007” in the campaign I’m in. They are gender-fluid as they can change into whatever form they see fit personally and for undercover missions. Added with my busted high dex, Cha, and wis stats (don’t ask me the numbers) with perks of the rouge class, and you get a sly fox!
@@joshuaelizalde8175 my changeling is a bard/sorcerer and changes form into whatever helps the party. My character treats their form as if they're clothes but prefers their Tabaxi form. The proficiency bonus is added to all the charisma based skill schecks which makes it almost impossible to roll low on that.
For anyone wondering still, SCP-113 is an anomalous creature contained by the SCP foundation that can change the gender characteristics and biological sex of anyone who touches it. Trans SCP staff are permitted to use SCP-113, within reason, to transition. The process last about a minute and a half, and is extremely painful, such as subjects in poor health have been killed before it’s duration ends. While biological sex and characteristics are changed, the subject’s gender identity remains the same. Most often, their sex is reversed, but there have been rare occasions of other occurrences.

Story time: My Dad is a Rush Limbaugh conservative, in the south. Got the image? Ok, He was gifted with two kids. Me, a bisexual and my sister, an asexual lesbian. We like to joke that Mom and He hogged the straight for themselves. My little sister was the President of her Highschool's GSA in a small southern town. Dad drove her to every event and stood in attendance for a pride parade they pulled together. One day, some guy in our tiny town recognized him as our Dad. This guy started going on that stupid spiel that all homophobic idiots go on. My Dad just turned to him and went " Look, I don't agree with it either, but It's her life, she gets to live it the way she wants. Fuck off." It's a weird balance, but he will drop his "values" every time and go up to bat for us. He supports us no matter who we love, or who we grow to be. I know there are more supportive parents who wholeheartedly adopt the idea. Still, my Dad overcomes his cognitive dissonance each and every time to show his kids he loves them. It is the bare minimum, and it's pathetic that other parents can't get onto his level. Edit: My little sister corrected me, He drove her in the parade. He was not on the sidelines, he was in it. Something about them sitting up in the back of the convertible, proudly swinging their flags.
That's not dropping your values. It's possible to disagree with someone and still support them. Honestly from your post he's more supportive then the rest of your family "took all the straight for yourself"

0:08 I find it really interesting that people will generally accept physical struggles vs mental struggles. If someone transitioned, it was somehow more acceptable to say “I’m like this because I have a tumor” than just saying it’s just how they are. When I was in the darkest points in my depression, I had to say I was physically ill instead of depressed to explain away my mood/energy level/etc
Sadly, a lot of people are just as terrible about physical struggles. A lot of people who use mobility aids (canes/wheelchairs/etc) in public, for example, have strangers aggressively questioning whether or not they really “need” it. It’s something I worry about when I go out in public with my cane - the fact that I’m in my 20s may mean that some random person might decide I “don’t look like a person who should need a cane.”
@@ravenwolfkittyface1802 still, much more people understand physical disabilities, or even accept they exist at all then they do mental issues. Probably because they are externally visual issues, and all that. Though regardless when it happens to anyone it sucks. People are so frustrating sometimes.
@@--CHARLIE-- unfortunately a lot of people are only understanding of visual physical disabilities. As in "Well I can't *SEE* anything wrong with you". Like, that's not my problem. A lot of disabilities and chronic illnesses aren't visible. It doesn't help that I'm in my 20s so a lot of people assume "Well, you're young and healthy" but with the meaning of "you're young therefore you are healthy".
On an unrelated note: I don’t understand mental problems. At all. Normally, I understand most things, but I have never had a mental problem besides my autism, which I don’t think is that bad, but how are other mental problems? I’ve never known how they have felt.
Me then: Non-binary people? That would require magically fusing a man and a woman together or something! Me now: I wonder what happens if two mirrorpronomial people talk about each other..........

The one about bathrooms reminded me. I'm a full time traveler, transmale/NB Masc. I have long hair and I let it down before going to a public bathroom. Especially with facemasks, I'm just hair and eyes. Then I can use whichever one is cleaner. Often before anyone even looks at me funny. Only started doing this after seeing true horrors, but frankly would recommend if you feel safe enough. Bathrooms are for pooping/peeing/puking in the toilet, and washing your hands in the sink for at least 20 seconds. Regardless of labels on doors, bathrooms are not gendered. Do your business, clean up, and move on
I… I read the second sentence as “I’m a full *time traveller* and for two minutes couldn’t figure out why you had just admitted you were a time traveller, offered no explanation, then proceeded to talk about public bathrooms. Then I realized what it said and laughed hysterically for a bit. Thanks for that

My mom talking to a family member I haven't come out to yet: "Just so you know, [deadname] has starting calling herself [new name] and wants to use masculine pronouns. So I might get confused talking about her." Me: "First of all, I didn't say I trusted this person with that information yet. Second, I'm right here, and can speak for myself. Third, please review the entire thing you just said." Mom: *proceeds to do a long non-apology about how she's trying but it's just //really hard// and can't I just give her credit for acknowledging my preferences in the first place?* Siiiiiiiiigh.
Aww I’m sorry! My mom tends to misgender me a lot, but that’s due to a lot of mental problems she has. But she got my permission before she told anyone else and has been trying really hard despite all the times she’s misgendered me, so I’m really lucky I have someone like her. She even used my new name when I told her she didn’t have to and it made me feel very happy 🥰
God I hate that. I'm fluid and use different pronouns with my swinging gender. My friends will always go "[Last pronouns] is using [New pronouns] now!" UGH NO!! You don't have to deadname and misgender someone to explain their trans (if they want you to in the first place that is)! Literally just say "This is [New name] and they use [new pronouns] now." Point gotten across and no deadnaming.
Update, if anybody cares: My older sister switched immediately upon learning my new name and pronouns, like IMMEDIATELY, no stumbles or habit-breaking transitionary period. She invited me to a party with some friends, introduced me as her brother consistently, and at one point pulled me aside to ask if I needed to duck off for a binder break. During the family get together where all the cousins with nearby birthdays celebrated together, she kept looking my mom dead in the eyes and almost *aggressively* found every excuse to call me by name or mention that she has more brothers than sisters or otherwise use correctly gendered language to refer to me. I don't know if I had already come out to everyone there yet, but I'll be durned if even the oldest and most conservative relatives weren't too terrifed to contradict her! xD My mom has made a lot more progress in the last three days than in the last year. She still makes mistakes, but she no longer does the drawn out display of victimhood when I correct her.

Funny D&D story that I’m just gonna slip in here; Some people at my college experience program decided to set up a one time session, since we were stressed out with all the work being piled on us. We made our characters, but the important ones was a dwarf, an elf, and a Dragonborn (I’ve forgotten what it’s called, since it’s been a while. So I hope that’s right.) The DM set it all up so we were trapped in a tower. Deciding to be stupid and just have a bit of fun with it, I decided my character, the Dragonborn, would pick up the dwarf and throw them at the main door to try to break it open so we could leave. After a lot of coaxing for the DM to let us, we did it. Rolled a 7, so the door didn’t break, but it bent. Our brilliant minds told us that this was the key to escaping. The elf volunteered to be next while the two others, excluding the dwarf, went up the stairs to investigate the rest of the tower. It took a lot of throwing, a lot of damage, but we succeeded and escaped. I wasn’t invited to play another round after the program
I just love how OT doesn’t realize that most often then not if your D&D character survives to the later levels they can practically do whatever they want thus be like a god Especially if their either a wizard or warlock. (16:20)
There's also a goddess in D&D that allows priests to change their sex. The drow goddess Eilistraee originally only took women as part of her clergy, but later would allow men to join. For a man to join the clergy, they had to undergo something called the Changedance that magically altered their body to live as a woman for at least a month. This change was not just physical, but mental as well.
At my school there is an organisation where people who are in the lgbtq+ community can be who they are and can feel safe, also on somedays there will be days where we all come together so we can celebrate who we are
10:28 “everyone has pronouns it came free with your xbox” Intalcu does not have an Xbox. Therefore, Intalcu does not have pronouns. Every time a person wishes to refer to Intalcu, said person must say Intalcu’s entire name.

So would the opposite work if I’m trying to sound masculine?

For anyone curious on SCP 113, here's a bit from the wiki and a TLDR:
SCP-113 resembles a small, polished piece of red jasper.
This process occurs in four stages:
Stage 1: Lasts approximately 0.2 seconds.

(EDIT: I'd also add that it is compatible with any AFAB peeing situation, so not strictly "trans men", and is often used by outdoors-y types.)
- "Heat from fire, fire from heat" is phrase repeated during a popular trans-oriented voice retraining exercise that can be found on youtube.

"Heat from fire, fire from heat" is a vocal training exercise for trans girls to help them sound more feminine. It's just a mnemonic device
Wait it’s a mnemonic device? What does it stand for?
Fuck it, I’m a cis woman whose speaking voice is a contralto and I’m looking up this exercise

OT's teacher: until told otherwise, use 'they' to refer to people
Me: has taught my English teacher 'they' can be used in a singular manner when a gender isn't specified, backed up by big-name dictionaries.

But eventually I came back around and realized "Fuck these guys, that's MY God you're defaming by being a shit head and insisting it's some divine mandate."
The amount of people who've been bigoted to me "in the name of God" who have categorically read less of the bible than I have, knows less about the faith than I do, and can't even list out the Beatitudes for Christ's sake is just staggering. I'm glad a sister in faith such as yourself can see through them as well -- may we bring back the Jesus they buried.

As someone who used to do janitorial for A CHURCH, the ladies' room was as, if not more, disgusting as the men's room. I was constantly asking myself, "If they're willing to do this to a CHURCH restroom, God's bathroom, what does their bathroom at home look like?!
As someone who is a janitor at a mc donolds probably fine since only they use it and have to clean it themsalves
That is really surprising, but also really not. Judgmental church ladies are often hypocrites
God's bathroom 😂😂😂

It’s hard to explain and I just say every time that I don’t control who my friends want to be I just roll with it
sometimes i forget my parents gave me a name and then someone uses it and i have to pull a full system reset like... that's- that is not my name Susan.
You’re an amazing friend to all of them
To explain dysphoria to my parent I said something like “imagine you look in the mirror and you realize that your body is not right, and not in the too big/small kinda way, but in the it’s not me kinda way. Like if you were wearing the wrong body instead of the wrong clothes/hair style. Imagine feeling this body and how others address to you so wrong that earring your own name feels like been stabbed”
With my parents it worked, my mother could even relate (to some extent of course) because her mother once cut her hair so short she felt like a boy and she cried a lot...
Thank you for the support and I hope you're doing well :D

For anyone wondering still, SCP-113 is an anomalous creature contained by the SCP foundation that can change the gender characteristics and biological sex of anyone who touches it. Trans SCP staff are permitted to use SCP-113, within reason, to transition. The process last about a minute and a half, and is extremely painful, such as subjects in poor health have been killed before it’s duration ends. While biological sex and characteristics are changed, the subject’s gender identity remains the same. Most often, their sex is reversed, but there have been rare occasions of other occurrences.
I believe it's a red jasper gemstone rather than a creature, but otherwise correct.
BTW DON'T USE ON AN ENBY!!!
Other occurrence are more likely to happen due repeated use. One scientist had black and white feathers growing out of there body.
There's another SCP that lets people transition, SCP-6113. It's a wonderful read, highly recommend

Yea yea yea this- I compare it to being hit with a spoon tbh
oh, I get angry at very specific people who refuse to use my name & pronouns even though I came out years ago but continue to misgender me after multiple corrections on misgendering/deadnaming, explanations of my name/gender/pronouns/sexuality/etc, and sources that show how they/them pronouns have existed singularly before singular you (while thorn was used as a th sound too) as well as how anyone can use any pronouns that feel comfortable because pronouns don't equal gender so be being non-binary has nothing to do with my pronouns being he/they, *those* are the people I get angry at, I just get upset/sad at everyone else (unless I have my pronoun pins & mask on that very clearly say he/they) who misgenders me similar to you

Story time:
My Dad is a Rush Limbaugh conservative, in the south.
Fuck off."
It's a weird balance, but he will drop his "values" every time and go up to bat for us.
@@tomraineofmagigor3499 That joke was started by my sister. Not them. Second, mom is also very supportive. She just took a lot less time to adapt, and never was vocal on either side. She's just chilling in the background with her Yaoi.

Pardon my asking, but what's Mirrorpronomial? I've never heard it before
@@rhiannonarvin5408 Mirrorpronominal, also known as mirrorpronoun, is a subset of mutopronominal in which one identifies with the pronouns of the person referring to them, meaning that you refer to them by using the same pronouns that you want other people to use for yourself. Mirrorpronomial people's pronouns are different depending on who is talking about them. (Source: LGBTA Wiki)

So I might get confused talking about her."
Me: "First of all, I didn't say I trusted this person with that information yet. Second, I'm right here, and can speak for myself. Third, please review the entire thing you just said."
Mom: *proceeds to do a long non-apology about how she's trying but it's just //really hard// and can't I just give her credit for acknowledging my preferences in the first place?*
Siiiiiiiiigh.
It's a process my friend. Also side note, I like your username :^)
Update, if anybody cares:
My older sister switched immediately upon learning my new name and pronouns, like IMMEDIATELY, no stumbles or habit-breaking transitionary period.
I don't know if I had already come out to everyone there yet, but I'll be durned if even the oldest and most conservative relatives weren't too terrifed to contradict her! xD
My mom has made a lot more progress in the last three days than in the last year. She still makes mistakes, but she no longer does the drawn out display of victimhood when I correct her.

Funny D&D story that I’m just gonna slip in here;
Some people at my college experience program decided to set up a one time session, since we were stressed out with all the work being piled on us. We made our characters, but the important ones was a dwarf, an elf, and a Dragonborn (I’ve forgotten what it’s called, since it’s been a while. So I hope that’s right.)
The DM set it all up so we were trapped in a tower.
Wow
watching your r/Traa vids give me SO MUCH gender euphoria, escpecially just the overall vibe of those vids :)
