I'm rocking a dual prefab sealed box.
But I pulled one subwoofer out, covered the hole, and make a big square port for it.
Subs want 3-3.5cubes
Box is 4 cube total.
So, much better now, but still not ideal; gets Hella low tho... atleast for skar svr

Instead of 4, 15's in a trunk. 1, 15 in your lap basically, and that sloped box not only looks great, but was very smart! Spl has to be 145db ish.

Rightnow i got 64ah headway with 260 alt from ohio gen along with sb500 supercap under the hood. Idk why but i think my cells are going bad. The light on my balancer went off for a whole night and cut back on the next morning when I checked it however my stinger volt meter won't cut on anymore. It's so weird. @NickVaughn-en9bb

@@RandoManFPV dude the doors are bolted Down tattoo and they're flexing I'm pretty sure it rattle a drink out of there I got two 12s in my truck and I got a f****** a steel box that I keep my gun in it's pretty much a safe boat into the floor with cup holders on it and it bounces drinks out of it
@@danielmcbride4828 the reason the door flexes so bad is because it's holding back direct air pressure and also is not permanently affixed like a center console or cup holder is(should be for the application)

Your cup should not be bouncing if it has a decent bit of liquid in it and the surface it's sitting on isn't flexing.
If I'm totally wrong and yours will spill a drink as you say I'd love to see it. Not hate no challenge just genuinely interested cuz most people don't have the bass for it if they still have a cup holder lol

I used those ports way back in 1998. 2 12" Earthquakes in the trunk with ports vented thru the rear deck. They called it tunnel ported.

@@evilinside5984 yeah you might be right about EM Audio makes Resilient Sounds but wow a 7,500rms sub from EM Audio sounds like a very loud subwoofer. I'm going to check EM Audio out. I seen the brand on Parker The Basshead.

same set up as my exm 15 in a built and tuned box for it was built for it to be inverted I had in my 2001 chevy tahoe very nice build I like it and guy came all the way from New Jersey to up here in upstate New York and bought it with the 7k precision power black ice 1 channel amp and installed it where his center councle was in his gmc Denali dually pick up truck next build I'm gonna take the center council and do 2 15s inverted

Well like all system's there is impedance rise, while playing music, that is usually on average of 2x to 4x resting impedance through out the audio bandwidth. So this 8k @ 1 ohm rated amp, if given 14.4 volts while the amp is pumping its power, is trying to give 2 ohm to 4 ohm power while music is playing= 2k to 4k, if the voltage didn't drop, which it does, so actual power to this subwoofer is prob. closer to the 1,500 to 3,500 range, after imp. rise, and voltage drop!? But this happens to ALL system's. This is why it's always better to buy a more powerful amp, to account for all of these losses.

@@HNiCDuke Given Kicker's legacy and the specs that we know about the new SoloX I'd say it's possible. Cone area is king, and 12 for 12 (or 15 for 15) SoloX are gonna have more cone area with the same xmax as Sundowns (reportedly 3" total travel during Kicker live streams, that's 37.5mm one way xmax) which means that even IF Kicker's can't take more than the rated power, they'll still be AT WORST, just as loud as a Sundown.
Here's a chart outlining the relationship between power, DB, and what you perceive at the ear. 2x power (or 2x cone area, or 2x the xmax, all separate) is 3db in a perfect situation. That's only slightly noticeable at 23% louder, which, BTW, the square sub makes up for as it has 25% more cone area.
Even if it was 4x like you say, that's 6db, which is 52% louder. At best. In a PERFECT world, which nothing is perfect. So that 2x you claim might only be worth 2db or 1db in action, and the theoretical 4x might only be worth 3db or 4db, NONE of which are 2x as loud, since you need 10db to get 2x as loud to your ear.

You can tune to whatever freq. you want. By having the port external it is not taking up volume of airspace for the woofer, and is much easier to make changes to port tunning. Many Spl champions have used this style/setup with great success!

It’s absolutely impossible that it’s wired to one ohm… they done half half ohm voice coils.. and if you look at the sub with got a series’s jumper wire… it’s not parallel …. Sooooo how is it one ohm
This Em Audio Team 15 inch is a D2 ohm coiled subwoofer. Look closer, the black wire = negative is on the left side, of the two terminal's, and goes all the way around to the other Negative, on the left side terminal, and the positive is on the right side of the two terminal's, and goes around to the other side, and goes to the other positive, on the right side terminal = parr.= 1 ohm.
