About us: We resigned from our high school teaching positions to find the balance that was severely lacking in our lives. After suffering the effects of burnout we needed to make a change for the better. One that would see us living our best lives! Life is too short!

I found you because I wanted to watch people in their 40s plus travelling and making videos. I wasn't really relating to the younger demographic and their style of video.

We also try to balance our lives with travelling, so far it's going good, we tend to go overseas 2-3 times a year and a couple of times local (Australia).

Thanks so much for sharing! I would love to see a Q and A on TH-cam! I want my husband to start a channel as he’s great in front of a camera but it’s starting that’s hard. Would love to know how you learned editing and how to upload and stuff like that. Oh and how you earn money and since you offered lol, how much you earn! We’re doing a 6-8 weeks in Bali next year and I want him to have a go at documenting that but his first question was “how do you edit to make something good? Is there a program? Do I need to take a class to learn the program” helppppp 😂
Hey Rebecca, When we first started the vlog (see our early vids) we used Canva to put the video together. That was ok but a long process so we changed to DaVinci on PC and iMovie on Mac. Pretty much it is just a case of playing around with it and trying not to get too frustrated... lol. Editing is really a full on job. We usually film over 4 days and then it takes another 4 days to edit and do the thumbnail and description, etc. So 1 vid usually takes around a week. If hubby is great in front of the camera, that is half the battle won! Great news is, you'll have time to start checking out the editing programs before you go and EVERYONE loves a good Bali Vid! I love u guys. So honest & real. I love Bali too so my husband & I started a TH-cam channel. We find it impossible to get subscribers. How did/do u do it? We’ve got about 340 but I can’t see how we can get any more. We’ve exhausted our supply😂

Oh the dreaded 300s.... lol It felt like we were stuck on 330 forever! I took a quick little look at your channel and my advice is declutter your thumbnails (as in take away a lot of the words) Just use a few large bold words to draw people in. Also, hit the shorts hard. Make one everyday and have a call to action at the end - tell people to 'subscribe for more... (Bali videos?) You are consistent atm with your vlog videos which is great! Try those two things and I think you will be pleasantly surprised withing the next few months. Good luck with it! Let me know how you go. 😍💕

congratulations again guys! i got all my friends/fam watching you guys i really love your videos , I first discovered you from your comedy cruise videos. 🤣. i missed this Q &A but for the next one I was wondering whether u guys are naturally outgoing or if was it hard adjusting to vlogging and the confidence aspect of being infornt of a camera ?
Wow! Thanks heaps for subscribing and sharing us around! 😍 It was hard being in front of the camera at first. I started off doing LIVES on another platform a few years ago and looking back now they were bad... lol ... but it was the stepping stone I needed before doing TH-cam vlogs. I would class myself as an introvert but I am able to put the mask on and do what is needed for the camera and in social situations. Al talks to everyone and anyone normally but he finds it hard to keep the conversations going when the camera is turned on. The thing is... you will always find 'your people' or they will find you and with nearly 3 billion people actively watching TH-cam there is an unlimited audience that will relate to the content that we're making. You should give vlogging go Ella - TH-cam is a lot of hard work, but it is also a lot of fun too! Thanks for the great question.
I enjoyed this video. Did notice that the tooth Al had fixed in Bali has now gone? What happened; in the dentist video you seemed very happy with the quality of the dentistry service.
hahaha - Al was very happy with the tooth and service of the Bali dentist but Al being Al... he lost his denture! 😂 He always loses his glasses too!

New to your channel. I am heading back to Bali and have not travelled for ages and i am a little worried as everything has changed now. I am the same as you guys as i don't get take away and i save everything for travel. Any tips as its my 50th Birthday and i would love to have a really good day without spending a fortune and been in a car for hours. Thank you.
If you like seafood, you could get a GoJek to the seafood market in Jimbaran (buy from the inside stalls) and have one of the restaurants on the beach cook it up for you at sunset. They normally charge around $3kg to cook it. Otherwise head up to Amed for a day or two and go snorkling from the beach. Oh and Happy 50th! I'm sure whatever you decide to do on your special day will be amazing!
The cost of drinks on a cruise ship are a rip off.
