Do you put app on before you leave Australia? Or can you do when you get to bali?
You can download it before you arrive but you need your Bali SIM (for phone number) to use it while in Bali. You don’t need to put in any bank or credit card details.

You can search the food options by the distance from your place, or by rating. Set the "Sorting" to Distance, and it will be sorted out from the nearest food options

When you return home, you will probably miss Gojek more than Bali 😅
Anyway, you should choose the food by the rate given and give your own rate and comment. That will help others especially new users or new to the area. I'm Indonesian and most of the time I choose the one I already know, the new choices are hit and miss
True, we didn’t rate the food but we did give all the drivers 5⭐️ We were lucky and had decent food each time, even from a few unrated ones. 😊

I buy a Telkomsel SIM in Bali when I arrive, so I'm not sure if an Aussie SIM works or not.

No, I’m pretty sure there were different promos for different payment types.
I am sure this is a silly question, but how do you pay? Do you have to set up bank details etc?
There are basically plenty of payment options to choose from (Cash on delivery, Bank Payment, E-Wallet, Paylater and more).
Not a silly question at all. 💕 We only ever use cash but like @paradox5036 said, there are plenty of other options.
everything pretty cheap isn't it in Bali, well mostly Indonesia are quite cheap. My second fav country for cheap prices are Sri Lanka.

I have a question, if you are paying cash via gojek and order say $30 AUD of stuff from supermarket. or a carton of beer, can you still pay cash? , generally would the driver have enough money to cover your order at the store? thanks, in advance., love your vids keep them up
I would say yes, but a carton would be a bit difficult for them to transport.
The most we got was about 6 cans/bottles at a time because they are riding motorbikes. If I was going to get more, it would be easy to get a Gojek car there and back so you can stock up at the grocery store. However, they do fit a lot on their bikes....lol. Before Gojek, we would always get a Bluebird taxi to the store the day we arrived and buy cartons of drinks and snacks. Let us know how you go.
