- On October 22, 2000, Lifetime Television hosted a wonderful show, attended by some of the greatest singers in the music world. It was a beneficial show to collaborate with the breast cancer prevention campaign.
The event was called “Women Rock! Girls & Guitars ”and featured Cyndi Lauper, Heart, Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow, Wynonna, Amy Grant and Destiny’s Child, with Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. A super starry night with collaborations that resulted in incredible performances!

This is one of the most difficult pop songs to sing and do a cover of. I think both ladies did an unbelievable job.

McCartney forever
This is one of the greatest performances ever. I remember when it aired in October 2000. Equal kudos to Ann Wilson and Cyndi Lauper. Both beautiful four octave range, versatile sopranos. Cyndi’s dulcimer and Whiz Fingers-Nancy Wilson on guitar made it real.
At the end the see the epic "high note" battle between Ann and Cindy, very beautiful.
I become anxious when I come across another artist or group that covers a Beatles or solo Beatles song....but I am pleasantly pleased how Cyndi and Heart did this song!
There are not many good covers of Beatle songs out there but this I give 2 thumbs up.👍👍❤🎶

So enjoyed seeing her in concert some years back - Enjoyed the casual talk and banter between songs as well. Will always be one of my favorite artists.

I was pleasantly pleased with this cover of a solo Beatles song! Cyndi and Heart definitely deserve two thumbs up on this one! There are not many artists that can cover a Beatles song and have it not sound cheesey or just plain terrible! These women are true musicians! 👍👍❤🎶

So poignant as well doing a Paul McCartney song that he wrote about Linda who'd died of breast cancer only a couple of years before.
Sorry to be pedantic but the song was written in 1969. Linda died in 1998. I'm sure it was written about her though!
