What a great video ! I've discovered it by chance while looking for the use of yet. I always thought that we use "yet" only with the present perfect with questions and negative sentences, fortunately today you make things clearer for me. Thanks a lot ☺
Hello teacher. The sentence you showed us could be " Sit down. The class isn't finished. There are still more exercises to do", or it must to be used only with yet ("... There are more exercises to do yet")?
Hello Andrew. I am Venci from Bulgaria. I like your lessons very much. Some of them I have seen many times. I want to ask wheather you intend to make open classes online? It will be so good!
Hello. Thank you so much the best teacher. I have a question: Can I use "stil" in thes examples? If I do this, does the meaning change? Sit down. The class isn't finished. There are more exercises to do yet. Or Sit down. The class isn't finished. There are still more exercises to do. The Airbus A380 is the biggest air plane yet. Or The Airbus A380 is still the biggest aeroplane. I will be very happy if you answer my question. Thanks a lot. Have a great day.
Thank you for lesson, and as my undersanding, whatever it is adverb or conjunction in a negative, affirmative, or question, the purpose is the emphasize the sentence you are mentioning about

Dear Andrew, thanks for such an useful explanations about "yet". Could you please, tell us something about using "yet" in the begining of a sentence? Thanks in advance. Friendly hug from Brazil!
Hello andrew, please could you help me with a level1 writing exam that is coming up. could you make a video of where to put punctuation and fix grammar.and how to start a formal letter and end one.
Hey teacher Andrew! Please, could you make a video showing the differences between "yet" and "still"? They're a little bit confusing for Portuguese speakers. God bless you!
My 2 cents: I’m working hard to improve my English, but I’m not fluent yet. (In this case, yet works like an adverb. I’m talking about something - being fluent, that I hope the happen in the future) I’m trying to learn all about phrasal verbs, yet it’s not a piece of cake. (In this case, yet works as a conjunction) Have a nice day!
