I've never liked Sirnee before but I made this for my sister because of Eid and my family said it's the best they've ever had. So then I tasted it and couldn't stop eating. Thank you Matthew!
Thank you for sharing all your recipes,I love watching your videos bring back memories from Guyana our favorite dishes.May God continues to bless you to share your recipes.Watching from Canada 👍
Your recipe is really good and simple... You are so right, there are soooooo many ways to make it..... I actually use the ground rice to make my halwa...
It dont matter how u make it once it taste good and this look real.nice boi. I think a lot of moms have tailored their recipies for their family needs over the years.
I love the color yours came out... great tip about the slow heat. I've always had mine at a higher heat and it gets brown easily. I also add orange zest.
@@matthewsguyanesecooking4601 That's wonderful. I have been making sirnee for many years now and it taste delicious the only problem is there is little bits of grain or lumps in the sirnee when it is finished and I do stir it well.
This looks amazing ..like my mom’s ...will try soon ..BTW..luv ur channel, very detailed and everything looks delicious and well Made ..keep it up 👍👍😊😊
Wow so nice yummy. And no lumps I tried your pera it came out so perfect. So the liquid is right, flour and butter sperate parched?1st you added butter in the pan then milk and the rest?? Thank you very much
@@matthewsguyanesecooking4601 Matthew, thank you but I saw in a pot you added butter 1st them milk, and other ingredients in one pot. Then in sesperate in another pan again is butter and flour??
@@bibizaabyalitorontoca4305 Please follow the steps in the video. It is all there. Everything except the bitter and flour is put into one pot to simmer. And the butter and flour is added into another pot to parch.
Great...sirnee looks great... ... as a Muslim girl my ajee taught me how to make this...My advice to you, next time instead of sugar we use Condensed Milk.. also we add the spice and clove to the butter 🧈 to release the oil...trust next time will taste better... We do the same to our curries too...
