I’ve honestly been in this constant cycle with myself where I’m constantly looking for the end goal and only recently have I been telling myself that “the only thing matters is the journey”. I mean a lot things have happened to me this year and in result I’ve really internalised it all because growing up I was rarely told to believe in MYSELF so fighting that self sabotage has been hard but after watching this I know that I’m on the right track.

As an artist this channel helps me immensely. The insight provided into artists lives and mindsets helps to understand them and myself at the same time.
The sevdaliza wisdom is a crucial component today; I’m reminded of a guitar player who played with Zappa, and Zappa told him (paraphrasing) “don’t read/listen to the reviews, because if you believe them when they say you’re great, you’ll believe them when they say you’ve lost it.”

I'm damn near 40 and have spent the last 20 years self sabotaging and second guessing my creativity which ended up in me doing NO creative work for over a decade. This video really helps me understand the impact of self sabotage and maybe how to crawl out of it. I know I won't blow up with my work but maybe I can put something out there that people like.
Ouch. I went 7 years and it nearly killed me.
I'm finally back in the studio and crushing it. It's my number one. (After health) I don't care about anything as much as this.
How are you going with your vision?
Don’t know you know love, you can’t see the future. You may NEVER know if you blow up, you may post something right now and it randomly blows up. It happens ALL the time. Believe in yourself ❤ hope you continue with your journey

I starred in a movie last year (my first one ever), and I was so depressed from the moment I was cast. From filming, to press interviews, red carpets… through it all I was telling myself I didn’t deserve it. So many of my friends have been working toward acting as well, and they haven’t been as successful. Many have yet to have a big role whatsoever. I felt so guilty and the imposter syndrome took over. Over time I realized that there’s no point in beating myself up. That’s not helping anyone or obviously not myself. Took awhile but eventually I started feeling happy again and allowing myself to enjoy it while also working to help my friends as well. This video really really resonated with me. Thank you 🙏🏽

I love music composition (and always have), but I've been mostly acting as a guitar player in my city. I am slowly starting to realize that I prefer recording than performing, as I find the late to be very anxiety inducing to me.

I feel this way, I am in belief of who I am and my north star in life, what I'm working towards and how I'm treating myself. That's all good.
Then people say things about me and I start to believe it, because I'm not like them, I'm somewhat a lone wolf on a journey but I know it's something special happening.
I need to disconnect from what others say about me cause as it says in video, it is difficult.
Social media is a tough place to share art. I've found a supportive audience on this YT space recently (which is prob due to a mix of luck and persistence), but that follows over a decade of putting stuff out online and following different pathways that allowed me to make a lot of stuff, but not necessarily get a huge amount of feedback in return.
It's so easy to put hours and hours into a piece of work - and a whole lot of energy - and put it out online and get a response that doesn't match those efforts or what you put in. So I hear your message above (not sure if you're talking directly about social media but ye).
