Everyone gives the 10-speed crap but for roll racing on the street, its really hard to beat. I have a D1-X Procharger which makes less torque than most Centri's on purpose so from a dig the tires won't break lose. This paired with a 10-speed is crazy for rolls.

I will eventually go with a MGW/Clutch and Whipple and do a stage 2 Ben Calimer MT82 once the whipple breaks my stock 82.. I'm planning to keep My GT just below 700 Wheel so my motor lives longer.. I know I could go E85 and make 800 but I want to run 93 and keep my headers and cats.. So if I hit 660 to 680 safely no knock on 93 and my car is NJ legal that's more than fine with me.. I've never been a number chaser really I just want to have fun..

That's just it the driver makes a HUGE difference with a manual. Their performance is driver dependant the 10 speed not so much. They're all quick but only the manuals with good drivers show out the rest get pulled on by similar performing cars and give manuals a bad name. Alot of bad drivers out there ecsp Shelby drivers and this is coming from an 07 gt500 owner lol. I can drive the wheels off that fucker but most Shelby owners suck at driving and don't give the cars proper representation imo. The auto is pretty much always gonna perform perfect unless there's a tuning issue but a manual GREATLY depends on who's behind the wheel weather you get the most from it or not. All older gt500s and gt350s are manual too so therefore there are alot of bad drivers out there giving those cars a bad name and this is real talk.
You can rev an automatic in motion when you switch it to neutral while the car is still moving forward I do it all the time with my car! You just have to wait till the RPMs come down enough to switch back to drive
Is it more modified? The 10 speed has a crazy gearing advantage compared to the manual. So therefor if it also is more modified that's not really a fair race. Gt350s are legit when modded and driven right
I was thinking of putting headers a s650 GT I have. What was the total cost when said and done, parts/labor? How much louder is it? I only have a dual tip exhaust (not active) but I have a AWE track exhaust on it and wonder if the sound would be too much.

I think it's good that you sold the Shelby, cause it seems like you already have enough cars. Plus you've already got Apollo that you want to turn into a racecar, as well as a Dark Horse, which is more powerful than Apollo, so you don't really need the Shelby anymore.

It keeps the coyote in its power curve the entire time greatly increasing average power. I mean it's not that difficult to understand. Manual cars greatly depend on the driver how they perform so their performance can vary alot depending on who's behind the wheel. The 10r is gonna be a touch quicker no matter what because of its gearing advantage but if you got someone who can really row em the manual can hang in there better than ppl think and with 50+ more hp you can pull one with a manual. They're impressive but they're not the world beater they're made out to be so I Def understand this comment lol
With that said a 456 geared 18 up manual on a tire with a driver behind the wheel would give an equal modded 10r80 fits in the quarter imo. At that point it don't have nearly the gearing advantage it starts out having which is the main thing that makes the 10r quicker vs an equal manual. The 6r vs old good geared manual was basically a toss up performance wise stock for stock edge to the manual but modded vs modded it was a toss up drivers race because it didn't have the crazy gearing advantage.

Have a GT350, it's not a drag car. My Audi A8L is actually faster to 60- probably to 100 as well, but the Mustang is a handling machine.
