So I’m currently in community college and I’ve been stuck for a very long time. I don’t mean to drama dump but it’s just to summarize what I’ve gone through to end up in the place I’m currently in. I first discovered Japanese culture during my sophomore year in HS. I instantly fell in love with their rich history, everyday life, food, even the complexity of the language. My family didn’t really agree or understand the reason why it became such a big passion, but to me this is a gateway to a much bigger world than the brutal daily routine here at home. The desire to explore and adventure, to get outside my comfort zone is what I want to do for a majority of my life. It’s been almost 5 years since I first tried learning Japanese. Never had anyone to talk to about it, everytime I would bring it up to relatives they made it seem like it was such a weird thing to do. “No just stick to getting your bachelors on something and you’ll succeed in life”. I’m not in search for a life of luxury or glory. I wanna learn more, experience more. After hearing him say “you just need a HS diploma minimum to get involved in the program” I literally put my phone down and almost teared up. The thought of how much I could’ve done already if I had followed my gut instead of giving in to what others have set me on. When I say this I mean it deeply, I can’t wait to finally involve myself in these types of programs that are offered.
Thank you for sharing your story! I feel the exact same way with wanting to experience more. I myself doubted my desire to travel, but am now thinking of signing up as well.

I'm so happy you made this video. I want to go to Japan and maybe live there for two -three years but I'm a little scared. Don't want to go there alone and cost (money).
In the U.S., we run a Share House and have found that Language School Agents don't know the Ins-and-Outs of the U.S. school system. Several Japanese students that have stayed with us have been misinformed about the various path options that are available to them. I'm sure that the same thing is happening in Japan.
How long has Go! Go! Nihon been around? There are a lot of language schools in Japan but they only have a very small percentage on their website... I already applied to a small school myself for October (have to wait till August to hear from the Immigration Bureau,) but I'm just curious :)
Kiraキラ 8-9 years, if I’m not mistaken. they have a short amount of schools because these schools are the ones that they partner with, therefore giving you the free service that they provide :)
What about Akamonkai language school?:) Is the intensity there really that huge, that students couldn`t have a part-time job? Or its all just people`s fears?:)
Vladimir Gubkov the school itself is not that hard if you keep studying constantly. Right now im also doing part time job 3 days a week and is totally doable.
I was wondering what they offer for current undergraduate students? I will be starting school in August and I will also be taking Japanese. I was curious as to if they offer exchange programs for existing students? Thank you (:
What about G.E.D? I left HS to take care of my mother, then went back to get my dream. It has always been my dream to work and live in Japan I have studied the culture, and i have dedicate 1.5 hours a day to learning the language and writing. Now that my mother has became my guardian angle, i want to chase my goal/dream, but i am worried about me having a G.E.D i have also taken the SAT and passed with a above average scores, and the JLPT n3 practice test which i also passed. I plan on taking the actual test when i am ready to tackle N2 head on.
Have you heard any information regarding whether people interested in language school, say, for April 2021 entry should still apply since Japan is currently closed to U.S. foreigners -- I'm not sure if I should apply anyway for April 2021...? Do you have any contacts at Go! Go! Nihon! who have any advice?
Hi, do you think they can help me with my application process to get my MEXT scholarship? I couldn’t find any information on the web. Thank you! (Btw, I’m a Undergraduate student) Greetings from Spain, I love your videos!
i really reallly want to do a study abroad and learn languages so this actually sounds like a good way in... now just hope they actually do it for england lol
My personal advice? Just find a language school you like, and apply directly yourself. It's NOT as difficult as they're making it out to be. You'll often get a better rate, and even if the rate is exactly the same, the money is going 100% to the school, who will then have more money to invest in teachers and facilities to benefit you.
What is their business model? O.o "We do everything for free" doesn't sound like a sustainable business model, and makes it sound rather sketchy... It looks incredibly useful, but I would prefer it if they were more up front with their charges.
I'm not 18 yet and I was wondering if I can get into a language school for 2 years (I would most likely be with a host family) with a student visa? I've been looking into language schools in Japan since I am learning the language. If you could reply that would be great!
Super Quick Question. Is it actually common for people to transfer from language school to Uni or is that weird? And also, what Uni are you at now and does it have international classes with English Programs? I'm a Psychology major so I wanted to see when I come in a year :3
It is very common, I'm currently studying at a language school and many students plan on going to Uni in Japan once they graduate from the language school ;)
Hi dear ,Can u help me with information on admission procedure to Nihon Kogakuin college for animation study. It will be appreciated if you could help me with admission process.
Possibly. It'd probably be best to finish whatever education you're currently in and move when you're older imo. Realistically, it'd be more difficult to find accommodation and be able to provide for yourself if you're younger since it's already pretty difficult for foreigners in general, and you're still considered a minor in Japan until you're 20. It could be easier if you're planning on doing a homestay, but I feel as though that's more short term than if you're planning on staying for more than a few months. Also I'm preeeeetty sure you can't apply through Go go Nihon until you're 18, so the whole process will be generally more difficult. Also it's very expensive, so unless you have a full time job or a trust fund, you're gonna have to work to earn money before you can go anyway.
