Hello friend, you have a new sub here. When I first saw this video a while back, I thought you made good points, and they were true on some level. But it was also quite clear to me that you were trolling. After clicking on your channel, it became clear that you are. However, after accidentally stumbling on your video again and re-examining your channel, particularly your much older content, my favorites so far are "How to know if a game manipulated you?" "Is gaming even fun anymore?" "Multiplayer games suck!" and your Guild Wars videos. It's clear that you genuinely liked Guild Wars and were very sincere with your opinion on it. For me, GW2 is your GW1. I absolutely loved the game, exploring the open world, dungeons, and fractals with other players, and making new friends along the way. Yet, if I'm being honest, I should have stopped playing it somewhere between season 1 & 2 of the living story and only come back for the expansion instead of constantly playing the game, especially when there was nothing to do other than monotonous repetition. But I kept on playing it for the next 10 years just to finish the story, so of course, I stopped after EOD. I also fully agree with your video on why "TH-cam Ruins Games" to an extent because I think if it's used correctly, it could also enhance someone's experience, only if it's used correctly, that is. But for the vast majority, that is not the case as you have correctly pointed out in your video. Overall, I would love to see more of your thoughtful and critical videos, not to be confused with your trolling videos, even though they do hold a lot of truths in them. Or just keep doing what you're doing, friend. You do have something interesting going on here, that's for sure. I don't know if there's a meaning behind your channel name, but maybe consider renaming your channel to something along the lines of "The Cynical Guy" or "The Critic" as they would be a good fit for what you're doing with your channel. Overall, keep up the good work and good luck! 🙂👍
Thank you for taking the time and watching my other videos. At this point I ignore all of the comments but yours was sincere and I wanted to respond. I think I accidentally found my niche. I wanted to delete my channel and be done with it, but I wanted to ruin it first by uploading dumb videos, and how much more obvious can I be? It kinda backfired as I was having too much fun. I do troll a little and mix it with some honest criticism but that wasn't my initial intention. I have 100 videos before on which I spend insane amount of hours of my life only to not get noticed at all. I tried supporting less popular actually fun games, talking about real problems, and also tried to open their eyes so they could see how they are being manipulated but it seems algorithm doesn't like that. Todays games are not even that (games). they have more psychologists then developers working on them. I also believe youtubers are dishonest because pretend that they are excited about new releases and clearly only look for positives. I wanted to focus on negative aspects as that's where the truth actually is. Let's be honest, they are the same games from 15 years ago with just new graphics. Everything is being recycled. TH-camrs have to cater videos it to their audience for likes. As I said it before, guild wars was a great game. But lets be honest, it has flaws. If you dare try to expose some flaws you will get attacked by Guild wars cult. That goes for other games as well. At some point I just started triggering them with dumb videos. That's also funny, deep down they know the truth when they hear it, otherwise they would have just laugh it off and go on with their day. I mean just hear the music in my videos. What I want is to stop lying to myself first just to fit in with everyone's opinion. I will continue to put out there kind of videos for popular games and ignore any meaningful conversation as it just wastes my time. They are too hypnotized.
it's not even worth the effort to argue because you're just stating from a very narrow personal experience and it comes off as "i just wanna shit on this game and not play it"

I too don’t give a fly hoot about the story. The catering to the casuals like they don’t want to be challenged as well has really let this game down. Pve could be consistently good if they just upped the challenge of the open world. Spamming attacks isn’t fun.
I guess its a fair valuation of the game. If you dont have memories from the past about that game, then it is not so special. Many mechanics borrowed by gw2 from other games and vice versa. Funny fact is that gw2 hold some outdated mechanics that were never popular, like underwater combat. Mechanic is still in the game but you get about no new content for it...
Nothing in this game makes benefit to you. It is not rewarding, everybody kinda have some similar build. There is no uniqueness in character build. It's just pointless. You can also play Mario, it's the same effect.

Satire requires a clarity of purpose otherwise it fails and either becomes indistinguishable from genuine or painfully unfunny or both. Congrats dude, this video sucks.
Click bait, this TH-camr is garbage. Guild Wars 2 was and is a improvement on the MMOs that came before it, and sadly, in many cases, since. I could list all of the ways it's superior but everyone already knows them well. What I should point out, that doesn't get praised enough, is due to the game being, at its core, one that fosters COOPERATION rather than COMPETITION between players, the community is among the best I have EVER experienced in a game (aside from a small minority of toxic WvW try-hards). Additionally, the cash model is one gamers should be getting behind much harder, and .
People who don't like Guild Wars 2 are people who enjoy MMOs where you stand in one place and repeatedly spam a skill to win. WoW, FFX14 and many more are all braindead in terms of combat mechanics. Gwars 2 and ESO are the only top MMOs that actually require skills in combat to win. Guild Wars 2 offers a much richer and complex class build system where you can create your own unique build contrary to what the current meta is and still be successful. PVE is decent, good storyline, epic boss fights and a unique take on the quest system. Horizontal progression means the items you spend months grinding for are still applicable long into the future. PVP is by far the best in terms of combat and fluidness - no other MMO captures it like Guild Wars 2 - not even close (Trust me I have played them all). Guild Wars 2 is free to play, with new fresh content being released all the time. It has everything, dungeons, raids, massive boss fights, map meta events, holiday events, tons of things to do in each zone and the community platforms are structured in such a way that its easy to get involved with the more social side of the game. World vs World are three servers battling it out for dominancy on a huge map with many objectives (keeps, towers, camps etc). The statements in this review are ridiculous - if you have 50 people in combat in the same area, of course you are going to be hit by area of attack skills a lot of the time, it all depends what class/build you play and what you responsibility is in that fight. For example if you are a support/healer class - you will be in the thick of things to sustain your team mates, heal etc. Each and every class has the flexibility in their build options to become support/heal or damage - for example you can be a ranger and choose druid as your specialization with heal support attributes and skills to sustain your team. Or you can decide to select Core ranger or Soulbeast specialization more of a duelist or raw damage class and then flank enemies without having to worry too much about getting caught in AOE. Again, this reviewer has no clue what he is talking about.
> Combat bad > WvW bad > PvP bad > Leveling bad > Dungeons actually good? Gotta be satire. (Endgame content can be fun but the vanilla dungeons are really badly scaled and are boring too ngl)
the only fun content of gw2 is 5-10 ppl pve end-game (fracs, some strikes, raids). the game sucks in other areas. i dislike dungeons, but i can see where he is coming from. in principle he is right, instanced gw2 content is ok. the rest of the game is rotten.
In other words the game is trash and nobody really cares except butthurt fanboys trying to cope with the fact you're playing a shit game thats extremely predatory and WOKE.
@ Predatory? Lmao how? GW2 has the most honest monetization I have seen in any MMO ever. Also I disagree that only instanced PvE is fun. PvP is really well made. WvW is the Ashran Blizzard promised instead of the Ashran they made and I enjoy open world activities as well.
Lots of people here hating on you hating on GW2, but you are entitled to your opinion. Plus, even if it's a bit pessimistic, it was rooted on some real issues the game has, which made it very funny. Good video 👍
game was good but anet made its balance towards a awful quality of players to feel op nothing more, the balance is just horrible just play what carries u at the end, metas are just play builds to get carried not interlay strategie based.
I feel like this guy knows the details of oft-mentioned pain points -- in multiple game modes -- WAY too well. I also think it's funny that the ending basically endorses GW2, for fractals and dungeons. Maybe this is actually a hidden advertisement for the game! 😆 The clickbait and short 4-minute runtime makes this a weirdly compelling video. I give it a 4/10, would definitely recommend.

They are too hypnotized.
it's not even worth the effort to argue because you're just stating from a very narrow personal experience and it comes off as "i just wanna shit on this game and not play it"
GW2 must be doing something right when all the other MMOs have been copying it's mechanics for years.
Mechanics?WTh are you talking about.Only thing other mmo copied from Gw 2 was dragon riding and they did better job and markeeting than GW 2.
@@TheJanissary90 lol
Literally NOBODY copied gw2, you're just making shit up
@@halaniwalombardi3562 Alright :D you asked for it.
Dynamic events in gw2 -> FF14 (fates), wow (legion world quests), eso (world events), bdo (regional events)
Level downscaling based on area-> ff14, wow and lost ark
Unique mounts skills-> dragon riding in wow
Shared loot for mobs -> wow (some bosses), ff14 (fates)
Wardrope system -> wow and ff14
there might be more
Didnt watch your video even you just baiting or just joking idc, i just gonna leave a dislike then go, Enjoy my comments
I kid you not I started this game a few days ago and I have not gotten boring with it one bit this game is the golden chalice!
"Why to many achivements?" What? complaining about long term stuff? XD I was expecting a good MMORPG review from another pov, but its just another salty guy destroyed in spvp crying
I'd say I want to give GW2 another chance, but my first time playing this game I got to lvl 10 and got off and didn't get back on. So I didn't really give it the time it deserved. I wanted to go play something else and just didn't come back to it. I think i'm going to hit this game again and see if I can enjoy it as much as I did all those years ago
This is just bad. It's not rage inducing enough to be bait - misspelling a word and making a blanket statement only makes you look lazy and under educated (do you react to this kind of baiting so you think other idiots do too?).
This is a rant, not giving 1 single argument.
A rant is an argument
Guild Wars 2 is such a good game that I even enjoyed watching someone talk trash about it and I logged on.
immediately sounds you like hate a mmorpgs because of what makes it an mmorpg. click b8 for sure
Guild Wars? Amazing.
Guild Wars 2? Trash.
More funny comments than likes. Sorta says it all. What a weird video.
I can wait to review the new coffee joint down the street, btw I fucking hate coffee with a passion.
This is bait.
Ok dude, seriously... the only thing this game does not excel at is GRAPHICS, the rest is among the best out there! wtf lol
It's sort of a mid mmo. I played it since it came out. Not for everyone. I tried to get friends and my bf into it and they just couldn't do it. I do think it's unique though. It's the perfect mmo for a collector and you have the CHOICE of delving into some more difficult content if you want to. I like it for a relaxing time just like how I enjoy taking it slow in classic wow. (Started playing that towards the end of the original tbc.)
Do you like any mmos?
I'm 63 and been playing GW2 since it came out. I am NOT a meta or power player. Hell, I'm not even a good player BUT, dude, if I can play without any of your listed issues and have fun, you clearly have no idea of how to play a game! Or how to make videos, since I found many of your GW2 issues applied to your video and couldn't get through all of it. Good luck to you!
yeah yeah be quiet. Game is bad and you're just pushing the most repeated trendy talking points.
The guy is probably jaded, cant blame him, most stuff is awful nowadays. He has a good point with the story because its terrible and boring just like pvp. Getting twisted at someone having a different opinion about something is cringe
and personally attacking him, this game is bad im not jaded the game is woke garbage
Sounds like random rant from an elitist
What a trash loll circle on ground are actually way much more acurate than most mmo out there and its juste because you dont know class skills at all. Prob a SoD enjoyer
his perspective is not wrong though, majority of the things he said are true, if you have spent at least 1k hours in.
yeah thats fair
He's totally wrong, speaking as someone who's been playing from start.
@@alenahubbard1391 it depends on the person but yeah I realize I was wrong
I have spent 9k hours in it and i can only agree with some things he says. For example i feel like there could be more achievments, and he didn't mention mounts, raids, and p2+ pvp.
Look at the "fanboys" with less than 5'000 hours into the game seething at this video. Honey to my eyes.
Liked and subbed. Good job.
on point about combat, i don't understand how people is liking the flash saturation of zergs, it's a big mess and can't see ANYHING while playing big group events or pvp... i hate it
dude complained about every mmorpg's issue ever and stuck it to gw2 , dude if mmorpg isnt your things thats okay dont play them lol
as a player from the beginning on, i can tell you he is not wrong 🤣, the only thing that brings me back to Gw2 are the new expansions and the fractals
Pretty sad that I clicked on this video, at least I can block this channel as never to be seen again. Thanks TH-cam, its the only useful feature you gave us, mortals
I too don’t give a fly hoot about the story. The catering to the casuals like they don’t want to be challenged as well has really let this game down. Pve could be consistently good if they just upped the challenge of the open world. Spamming attacks isn’t fun.
Bro has no idea 💀
he detailed himself pretty well on how much this game sucks. Gues si have no idea either since i got pretty far in it. IT SUCKS. Get the fuck over it
Disagree with absoletly everything he said, except about the story. It’s meh and feels like it’s made for kids not adults.
this is either satire or this guy just hates mmos
I just started it this month and I'm loving it
I especially love there's no damn subscription fee
I guess its a fair valuation of the game. If you dont have memories from the past about that game, then it is not so special. Many mechanics borrowed by gw2 from other games and vice versa. Funny fact is that gw2 hold some outdated mechanics that were never popular, like underwater combat. Mechanic is still in the game but you get about no new content for it...
Nothing in this game makes benefit to you. It is not rewarding, everybody kinda have some similar build. There is no uniqueness in character build. It's just pointless. You can also play Mario, it's the same effect.
you played 5 mins, huh?
bro has nothing to say
This was hilarious
I hope other people get the joke too xD
😂 after 500 hours I do hate the game though
You're not wrong for pretty much all the points... But I still like GW2 more than wow.
why ?
@@karlsplkr Because wow is even worse. I don't play either atm btw
@@KrisoVT idk how you could even play gw2 i tried hours it’s just a soulless other rpg like the koreans mmorpg that spawn every years and die in 2 months
I think you just described every single MMORPG out there with your intro,
Did you play an MMORPG before? lol
Genuinely it's pretty obvious you haven't played MMORPGs before,
If you don't understand how MMORPGs work doesn't mean the games are bad xD
Better play the genre before rating it's games.
In those moments when I feel like this guy does, I just pick up a book; my vacation from video games.
now i know what to do as a new player step 1: buy a boost step 2: farm dungeons thanks for the advise very insightful.
his criticism of the Heart Quests are true tho, but that's as far as I would agree. I personally enjoy gw2 open world from events to hidden area and jumping puzzles to find.
Wow this is just really bad satire
You didnt bother to play the game or learn its mechanics and call it bad. No wonder :D poe is bad in the eyes noobs as well, like dark souls and elden ring.
this guy is MAD..? soun dlike a WoW funboy..
These people got so offended that someone share his opinion about the GW2. Tell my the community is toxic without telling me the community is toxic
gw2 is not my type i wont say its awlful but not my type or not big market compare to classic mmo. i kinda agree on most of it but still gw2 is good game but not for everyone
Satire requires a clarity of purpose otherwise it fails and either becomes indistinguishable from genuine or painfully unfunny or both. Congrats dude, this video sucks.
Skill issue. The only game can fit you is tetris. Go home with mommy
🤓
Click bait, this TH-camr is garbage. Guild Wars 2 was and is a improvement on the MMOs that came before it, and sadly, in many cases, since. I could list all of the ways it's superior but everyone already knows them well. What I should point out, that doesn't get praised enough, is due to the game being, at its core, one that fosters COOPERATION rather than COMPETITION between players, the community is among the best I have EVER experienced in a game (aside from a small minority of toxic WvW try-hards).
Additionally, the cash model is one gamers should be getting behind much harder, and .
Skill Issue
Again, this reviewer has no clue what he is talking about.
you telling me really that you played the first extension of wow in pvp and liked more the messy combat of gw2 ?
just a taste issue
I miss when we could see the number of dislikes on a video
> Combat bad
> WvW bad
> PvP bad
> Leveling bad
> Dungeons actually good?

Anyone giving GW2 a 4/10 doesn't know what a keyboard looks like. Wait till we tell him what a mouse is...
I feel like this guy knows the details of oft-mentioned pain points -- in multiple game modes -- WAY too well.
I also think it's funny that the ending basically endorses GW2, for fractals and dungeons. Maybe this is actually a hidden advertisement for the game! 😆
The clickbait and short 4-minute runtime makes this a weirdly compelling video. I give it a 4/10, would definitely recommend.
