I explore the [Broken Tower], ruined Transylvanian border in the Carpathians

Greetings ! So I decided to drive my Suzuki LJ80 to visit the "Broken Tower" former border post between Transylvania (back in the day part of the Austro-Hungarian empire) and the Kingdom of Vallachia (Romania), on the path of the river Olt in the Carpathians. The original "Broken Tower" dates from medieval times, more than 700 years ago, but during a flood in the 1500's the tower broke in two. Later, because the area was still an active border a guard house was build attached to the tower. Today, the tower remains standing near the modern highway, as well as ruins of the old medieval wall and the foundations of the border guard post and can be easily visited.
