HOW TO MAKE CAKE POPS|EASY RECIPE

- Cake pops are a super trendy dessert nowadays and they are shockingly easy to make!!! Such a fun dessert to make and perfect for all skill levels. This recipe is PERFECT if you are making a cake and it breaks/sticks to the pan/just doesn't turn out right.
Read the recipe for some helpful hints along the way!

Recipe:
Again, no real measurements here, requires some eyeballing
- your favorite cake recipe
- your favorite frosting
- white chocolate or candy melts
Mash up your cake into fine crumbs and gradually add in frosting, little by little until the crumbs form a dough-like texture.
Form into balls and freeze for 20 minutes
Melt candy melts/temper chocolate.
I recommend using candy melts because they are so easy to work with. You can pop them in the microwave and they are ready to use. Chocolate is harder to work with because if you simply melt it, it won't firm up and get that crunch.
Dip the stick in chocolate then insert into the cake sphere.
Freeze for another 20 minutes then dip into chocolate.
Let the chocolate set, then voila, beautiful cake pops.

I make and sell cake pops and lemme tell ya DO NOT freeze the dough before dipping it in the melted chocolate! It should already be firm enough to hold its shape, if it’s not, you added too much frosting. Freezing the dough before and/or after dipping will result in cracks. The chocolate will crack 70% of the time if you chill the cakepops!! Both the dough and the melted chocolate have to be room temperature. So when it comes to chilling cake pops for speed and efficiency, just don’t.
Edit: you CAN freeze them after they’ve completely set on their own, coating and all. This would be if you needed to make some in advance and they needed to stay fresh.

FYI you need to make sure the cake you use is completely cool, otherwise it will melt the frosting and make a huge mess.
darn it, I read this after I crumbled the hot cake, maybe next time.
@@GokuMotion just make sure to put it in the fridge and let it set for a bit. It's easy to fix, even if you put the frosting in it. Just let it cool down
@@fueledbypaintwaterthanks! do you have any solutions for when the cake ball falls off the stick? they sometimes fall into the melted chocolate mug even though I did as required
@@GokuMotion dip the stick in chocolate first and put it in the ball, freeze, then dip the whole thing in chocolate.
I’ve seen this in other videos. They stretch is out so long. It’s such a simple recipe.

I have a pan , I have had, someone gave me as a gift several years ago. And I bought a cake pop machine for my daughter. Pour the cake batter in machines hole spots, close lid , it's like waffle maker , it lights up when ready, take them out. Make as many as you want. My pan molds, pour in cake batter, cover with the top mold bake like cupcakes, remove when your timer rings, let set cool down, then if want , add the sticks through the holes in the top of pan, remove top pan part, or leave out sticks until after rolling dipping into your desired frosting and the chocolate melts. Make buckeyes balls, which is basically resses peanut butter cups or balls in this case. Add sticks after frosting sets , chill all in the fridge to help not to melt and if too hot it slides down the stick.

You can do this with oreos too, just blend up oreos then put cream cheese mix together then form your balls then put in the sticks (refrigerate) then dip in chocolate bark (look it up) let cool then YUMMM

Can you use frosting instead of the melted chocolate? I realize the chocolate would hold up better I'm sure. I was just curious. I've never made em but want to for my son's preschool class Halloween party 😁
