Regardless of what anyone else has to say, a bike that ticks all your boxes and makes you smile when you ride it is a keeper no matter who makes it or how much it costs. Good on you.
Cheers: BJ
Thanks
Thank you so much Alan I really appreciate that 👍🏻
Danke!
Thank you that’s really kind and much appreciated Wielen Danke 😎
I've never had a problem with anyone asking for a subscription. We get it for free after all. Every bike I've owned in the last 10 years and that's a lot! Has been researched using reviews from You Tube. I love that BSA you have and it's a beautiful motorcycle. Haters will always exsist and it speaks more to their personalitys and short comings than anything else. Happy holidays from Connecticut David from a Brit who misses the old country. Well except the rain. ;-)
Cheers Buddy it’s a foot of snow here at the moment 😎
I wonder why anyone would go to the trouble of telling you that they are unsubscribing. Maybe they fall into the category of a person terrified at the thought of their insignificance who likes to show off in public so as to be noticed. The world is not full of unpleasant people but there are enough to go round. Best wishes to you and I hope your channel grows well in 2025. P.S. - I put "blu tack" in the battery terminals to hold the little nuts in place before I take the bolts out.
As a smoker,l use cigarette butts, there's always plenty lying around my garage!
Great tips there guys!
Spot on that!
I’m enjoying the content, don’t concern yourself about negativity from keyboard warriors, do what you do and know that many people appreciate you!
Always appreciate what you and other TH-camrs do Dave
I don’t watch terrestrial tv so without you lot I’d have nothing to watch.
The BSA GOLDSTAR is a absolutely beautiful motorcycle.
I have a Gold Star and like you I think it is a stunning bike and great value, even though they dropped the price 6 months after I bought it! Not sure about it becoming a 'classic' but we shall see!
Happy to remain a subscriber. As a fellow Yorkshire man I understand every word. Keep the BSA, it’s a fine machine.
I'm over the border in Lancashire and can also understand every word...just about 😉
Both very useful accessories, clean and tidy job, well done.
Norbot? 😂
I borrowed a BSA for a couple of days, that engine is very likeable and quite addictive. People who perhaps wouldn't comment normally said they liked its looks too.
I hope another subscriber hasn't cancelled now you mentioned it again 😀👍
That bsa is a work of art. We dont throw works of art away, we love and cherish them. I think the thunderbox is a great idea. Thank you Dave and Happy New Year from Northern Spain. Xxx
True words indeed all the best to you from a very snowy northern England xxx
just keep doing what you are doing, there will always be an element who have nothing better to do than whinge about something, other people may call it 'opinion'... keep the vids coming sir... appreciate the efforts.
Good bits of kit 👌
What a difference a Dave makes.....
Subscribed for you since I've visited more than once.
Thank you David 🙏
Morning Dave, I recently fitted a Thunderbox to my Guerrilla 450, to power my Keis heated clothing. A brilliant piece of kit. Cheers
Yes Ian they’re a cracking invention I’ve just bought a fourth! 😎
All the very best for the new year Dave .
I remember my grandad making regular use of his thunderbox, but it was a lot different to yours ...Lol.
Happy New Year Dave 😊. Can I just mention that it's worth toggling the subscribe function off/on from time to time just to make sure your preference is properly captured by tge TH-cam algorithm. I've noticed that occasionally, it misses the setting and you may miss a notification .
Thx for showing these accesoires especially the Thunder Box. I’m going to use that on my retro looking Kawa W800. And thx for all your vids; always enjoy those and learn from it.
Poor Norbert 😮. I bend a 1 inch piece of cable tie and squeeze it under the terminus bolt after loosening it, it is then help upward against the inside of the terminal point making it easier to locate with the bolt.
Happy New Year!
Excellent review of simple accessories that add to a bike!
Keep up the great work and I always look forward to your next ride out!
Regards
John
Cheers John 😎👍🏻
You are right, some kit is very useful, the Healtech Thunderbox is just what I need to wire in heated grip, always worried I leave them on and flatten the battery being wired direct the the battery. Great video.
Happy New Year, keep up the good work!
Not quite what the word thunderbox normally brings to mind but still looks convenient.
Very Droll...Ha, Ha!
An Australian term l would imagine, for times when 'Dunny' would seem a tad vulgar.
Glad you said this. It's been so long since I heard anyone use it that I was beginning to wonder if I'd made it up.
Hi Dave, the BSA is a great MC for the money, if you ditched in the canal there'd be many magnet fishers waiting to pull it out. 😂
"Throw it into the canal" is indeed code. It means I'm a rather jealous armchair rider and have never been on a BSA Goldstar 650 😊
Chuck around the bends! 👍PS: good product but worth noting the 12v cigarette style charger by your left side panel already offers higher amps output only while bike is running., good for heated clothing. There is also a spare power connecter inside the headlight shell.
Cheers buddy 😎👍🏻
Very interesting video Dave! Great to know about those accessories! My late father's favorite bike was his Goldstar, I put a picture of the new model on his phone and he couldn't stop looking at it! (He loved it)
He died aged 92 still loving motorcycles.
PS. He would have enjoyed watching you working on your's❤
Cheers John that’s a great story about your dad 👍🏻
Happy New Year! and many more.
Good morning Dave, I appreciate all the hard work and effort you put into making your videos and keeping this Motorcycle community going. Absolutely nothing wrong with asking someone to subscribe to your channel, especially if they view regularly. Even an old fart like me understands that you need those subscriptions to keep the TH-cam algorithms in check. I find your product reviews, honest and sincere, and have purchased a few items and found them to be good additions. (Aooci C6 Pro , Iron J heated gloves). After today’s video, I’m going to try the thunder box next. Looks like it’ll make adding accessories much easier than dealing with those #%@# terminal screws .. Thanks again for a great channel and have a peaceful day, my friend.
Cheers buddy really appreciate that 😎👍🏻
Hi, yes I do do watch your stuff and I have pressed the bell ! I tell you what would be interesting , if you could do a video on the type of camera's and mic's you use while riding and the best way to eliminate wind noise etc,
Enjoying your content Dave. Can I just say what a magnificent performance you gave as inspector mackintosh in vengeance most foul 😂
😂😂😂
We need to see Eddie the dog! Also fitted the Thunderbox to my Triumph Speed Twin and they are a game changer for fitting powered accessories. No longer do I have to worry about either finding a switched live or running straight of the battery and draining power when the ignition is off. Best accessory you can buy IMHO.
_"You can't please all the people all the time!"_ It's your channel so you do what pleases you...
Good video vlog
This content is perfect for someone of my generation- all these items i didn’t even know existed and being old school would have gone about things a complete di
Different way including cutting and soldering wire etc
Thanks for the heads up
Regards from Florida 🦩🦩🦩
Hi dave we all have different views on what is the best bike mate if you enjoy it it don't don't let it go or just tell them to do one i have a gsx 1400 it's mv choice and i don't give Jack shit what anyone else thinks i love it it's our choice have fun on the bsa mate we are only this way once keep up the good work on the channel mate from dave
I love the GSX 1400 nearly bought one once…esp the blue and white
@thebingleywheeler that's the one I have mate absolutely love it wouldn't change it for any fancy electronics that would take away all the fun of riding a fun bike keep the good work on the channel mate take care stay safe
I'd love a new BSA Gold Star mate, just paying off the last nine payments on my Triumph Rocket III Roadster and then I'll get my mits on one. 👍🏼
Very informative video Dave…Hopefully myself and Richard will be up your way this year again from the flat lands of Essex 😂 Happy new year 👍
Cheers Malcolm be great to see you both again 😎👍🏻
Haters gotta hate Dave...that's just who they are. It's your channel you can do whatever you want within the TH-cam universe. Every single video I watch on TH-cam, everyone asks you to subscribe. That's how your channel grows. If they don't like it... They can just Sod Off and move on. Thanks for the great content Dave. Happy New Year and take care. I am also subscriber too. Cheers from the States
Thank you Ric best wishes to you I must get state side before too long 😎👍🏻
If I lived in England I would buy one . But I live in northern Ireland..and there's no bsa dealer here..God your lucky to get a motorcycle shop.. lol
some brilliant bits of kit there mate
Well as another northener I've subscribed just out of bloody mindedness for that person who unsubscribed!
I've just done the same after reading your comment. And I'm a southern softie. I've studied the new Gold Star and I think it's a fantastic motorcycle if you think of it as a Gold Star in name only. I owned a B33 in 1971
Thank you for subscribing gents I really appreciate it 😎
The BSA is good bike, it has a few niggles like no centre stand and a few electrical problems but most bikes double the price have issues. My friends owns one, what great bike, he has had a recall from BSA, with upgrades to the clutch, rubber grommets to the wiring loom and other things, hopefully all the little problems have been sorted.
Subscribed , enjoy your content and keep the good work up.👊
Another great video Dave. Keep them coming-never mind the trolls under the bridge.
Keep up the great work and hopefully see you on my BSA in spring
Phil
Look forward to it Phil
Some people are just grumpy and especially when they can hide behind a keyboard. Sometimes I wonder if they've ever thought about just changing the channel if they're not impressed. You continue to do you and I'll continue to come along for the ride. My subscription will keep notifying me. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much for being a loyal subscriber I really do appreciate it ❤️
FYI there is a power outlet socket in the MG on a fly lead, its thro' that 7.5 fuse and located in the battery area. And, from memory switches on and off with the ignition. Would have saved you a few quid. PS had to sell my MG sp edition as the clutch was too heavy which and now suffering with carpal tunnel syndrome, bought a Tri Tiger 900 with quick shifter! Don't throw yourself in the canal it would make a big splash; plus its cold this time of year!
Cheers buddy will do 😎👍🏻
I’m staying subscribed, I like what you do!
Sounds like a good product. I don't need it, but if I ever do, I will re-watch your video. Thank you.
I really can't understand what motivates people to lash out in such a ridiculous way. Perhaps they need their bile ducts draining or something. I don't know; some mother's children. Smile and wave Dave, smile and wave. I remember when I first saw the new Goldstar, I immediately thought what a great platform it will be for customisation in years to come. I can really see some sexy little café racers and maybe a scrambler or a minimalist bobber. Great stuff. When you do as you are told and chuck the BSA in the canal please let me know the where and the when and I'll pop up with my mask, snorkel and a length of sturdy twine. All the best sir.
A very Happy New Year David.
Keep up the good work,
You are very much appreciated.
I am in Bangkok at the moment ,37c.
But looking forward to a good British summer.
And to you pal a foot of snow here!
@@thebingleywheeler 😅😅😅😅👍👍👍
Great video Dave. The healtech thunder box is a no brainier and will check out that Chigee wireless charger. I guess if you share your opinions on a public forum there will always be those that will disagree or simply make rude comments but I’d simply ignore them. The haters are always going to hate so just ignore them..
Great channel TBW! The BSA is a lovely looking bike. I’ve not have a chance to ride one but have found the fit comfortable when sitting on them.
Late to biking, my son dragged me along with him when he did his CBT, and have since passed my test (Aug ‘24).
Currently ride a RE Shotgun.
Currently ride
Cheers Chris all the best 👍🏻
Someone really needs to do an aftermarket cooling system. The radiator is hideous and I suspect it's so big because it is a cheap design. During WW2 the Luftwaffe was shocked to discover that Spitfire radiators were about half the size of ME-109 ones, and it was largely because of superior design. Maximum area, minimum flow obstruction.
A 10A rated undervoltage protection board (Amazon, under £6) is what is needed. It's used on boats to stop battery drain if the battery goes below 12V, and it's adjustable. A 20A one is about £11 but that's getting a bit excessive for a bike. That plus a 5A car type fuse (the actual blowing current is over 5A). Auto Electrics Supplies or Vehicle Wiring Products are good for all types of connectors and a little box to hold the protection board. You'll struggle to spend over £20 and learn a little basic wiring on the way. To show off add a couple of 12V to USB adaptors to your box, individually fused 1A.
When connecting a fuse from the battery to your box, remember that the wire to the fuse must be so arranged that if it were somehow to come off, there is no way that it could reach a vehicle ground.
I've got a Thunderbox fiteed. It's worked perfectly. The bike did come with their Speedo Corrector but that was causing the engine light to come on with a P0500 error so removed that one.
I always use Old Bath Towels to Protect Petrol Tank and Body work whenever Doing Work on Bikes.😊
I want to get out to ride, happy new year bud 🎉 It’s either icy 🥶 or rain continuous! Awful weather. Roll on spring 👍 Thunder Box best accessory for any bike, just makes adding any electronic gadgets a breeze.
Thank you Nick all the best to you too yes we have a foot of snow outside the door here 👍🏻❄️🌨️⛄️
Nice informative video, thanks for all you do and "All the best" for 2025.
Good Morning Dave , i do like the idea of the thunder box tbh , take care & ride safe
Great kit Steve 👍🏻
Hi Dave, Did you check the tire pressures before you put the caps on? And if not, did you verify the pressures with a regular tire gauge? 20 PSI is awfully low, so I'm wondering if the monitoring system was accurate. I would like to buy one of those systems, but obviously not if the readings are that far off. Thank you for the video!
Hi yes I tested the pressures with a certified gauge and absolutely bang on. I run my Mita 50/50 tyres at 21/32
What a great winter day workshop film…. Some great accessories I didn’t even know about particularly the tyre sensors and I just wonder how the hell they were ha ha ha. But great kit all the same…..
I do like your bikes a couple of which I would certainly pick…. I had a real big thing about the Moto Guzzi V7, but just couldn’t justify the cost for my budget…. I love the little Enfield….. and not denying the the joy of riding the CF Moto it’s just not a bike would choose…. I’m happy you’re happy and get a thrill from it. The BSA, what a looker and it reminded me of my BSA twin that I loved so much back in the day…. The looks of that bike really touch the deep nostalgia within me and that’s all I wanted., but to be honest when I came to ride it, I didn’t like it half as much as the Royal Enfield 650s and bizarrely even the 450 guerilla….. for me probably the 650 would be happier with a new set of rear shocks…. To be fair, I’m still pondering on that because I like it a lot..
Anyway, for 2025 on riding and having fun and thank you for putting on your TH-cam posts for us….
Take care and happy New Year
Cheers yes the BSA looks swung it for me….and the price! Happy New Year too 😎👍🏻
Garage looks tidy 😅🎉 keep doing what you do, we love you ❤️
God bless ya Martine…..my garage tidy?…specsavers? 😎 ❤️❤️❤️
I use old ear buds or battery breather tube to keep the nut in place .
Apologies, I thought I was subscribed to your channel. I am now great content, thank you !
Thank you Mike 👍🏻
Some good bits of kit there very handy
Happy to subscribe. Job done 👍
I'll be buying at least one, possibly three, of these items. All simple to fit but very useful. Ta.
Very handy and discrete accessories.
I've not heard of the thunder box before. What a good idea and thanks for sharing that. I still don't understand why battery terminals have loose, easy to lose nuts. I thought it was just me who had a problem with them. I now put a small piece of plastic tubing under the but to hold them up which helps a lot. I'm already subscribed and I shall continue to watch your very interesting content. Just heading a Yorkshire man say the word "Flange" is worth subscribing for 😀.
Nowt like a good flange 😂
Just subscribed! Ta for a great channel 👍
Thank you so much 👍🏻
Thank you for all your effort and interesting videos, hope your channel lives long and with that i wish you a very Happy and Healthy 2025.
Also need to check subscription as mine was set to all notifications just rechecked and it was on personal,so just put it to all notifications, happy new year to you Dave and keep up the great work. 👍🏻
Dave, I use the usb connection on the handlebars on my bsa,to run android auto 7 inch screen. It only comes on when it fires up like the thunderbox.👍
I'm subbed and loving the channel Dave! Was even before you had a Highland green Goldstar 😊
You never know, maybe Dave will reciprocate with a sub to your fine channel. All the best for 2025 to you, Spirited Suzie and your lovely BSA.
I’ve been subbed to Mindful Motorcyclist for a long time it’s a cracking channel Sean and Suz have there 👍🏻
Thank you Sean I always look forward to your content and the RE 650/750 stuff was very interesting pal
Great video…hopefully you were using an electrical screwdriver whilst working on the BSA! 😂 Personally I like the BSA but totally understand the amount of folk out there who feel so much alliance with their chosen favourite brands (we’ve all seen it with Triumph owners and Royal Enfield now it’s Royal Enfield owners and BSA). Funny thing is, a lot of the same folk would also love the idea of owning all 3. 😂
Keep up the good work.
Have coffee Dave
Cheers Phil most kind buddy and much appreciated
@
Absolutely no problem Dave
Happy New Year!
Great channel TBW! The BSA is a lovely looking bike. I’ve not have a chance to ride one but have found the fit comfortable when sitting on them.
Late to biking, my son dragged me along with him when he did his CBT, and have since passed my test (Aug ‘24).

i wanted to subscribe, in response to your appeal, but damn, i already have!!! wishing you the best x
Subscribed! 😊
Thanks Dave very informative and well presented. I do think you need a larger garage for all your toys and paraphernalia, reminiscent of Aladdin’s cave …..
😂 re loosing small nut yep been there happy new year sir
A classic 😂😂😂
Not an anti BSA comment. I truly want them to succeed. But I was stunned a see a dealer offering a brand new one for £4,295 in this weeks MCN. Clearly there is a lack of confidence in the bike/brand sadly.
Happy New Year TBW!
The one thing not to worry about are the bizarre people.
Otherwise, that english word wouldn't exist.
Keep being wise!
Cheers!
Happy New year Dave, I like to say, continue what you like to do. Ignore the other people. It is your channel! And your work. By the way, the Guzzi needs a name too, whats with Luigi?😂
That’s his name! 😁
Another informative video, thank you 👍 Love the BSA, take no notice of the detractors 😉 Thunderbox looks a good bit of kit! Might partake in one, can you run the optimate charger through it? Or does optimate still have to go direct to battery? Cheers and Happy New year to you 🥂🍾🎊🎉
Hi thanks yes the Optimate has to go to the battery
Here's to many more subscribers to you in 2025. Love the bikes in your stable.
Thank you 😊👍🏻
Norbert trouble 😂
Just subscribed. Good luck!
Cheers Rupert 👍🏻
All your bikes are great on the Moto Guzzi is that switch a cruise control switch near the new power outlet ?
Bugger me, I thought I’d been subscribed for ages, but I wasn’t. I am now though. By the way, we’ll always have FA Cup final day in Helmsley. Cheers!
I never fit extra electrical accessories to my bikes . I reckon motorcycle batteries & original factory electrics , have their work cut out running normal standard electrical circuits & fuel injection gubbins already , without adding more . Also It’s far too easy to simply pull off the panel & access the BSA ‘s under seat area & battery compartment . I like the BSA but I reckon that was a tacky bodge & they should of used a better method . On the subject of giving bikes names , I always give my bikes female names as they require the odd bit of care & attention & I like to get my leg over them & go for a good ride . 😎👍
Hi Dave, i bought one of these for £9, seems to do the same as the Thunderbox.
Maypole 30A Self Switching Dual Charge Relay
Well said regarding subscriptions Dave, on a separate note - just watched the Wallace and Gromit Christmas special and couldn't help but notice the similarity between your good self and the Police Inspector (have you ever sported a handlebar moustache?)😂
Ha ha….never dabbled with facial hair
Just subscribed..👍
Thank you so much 🙏
Thanks for that video dave I've just ordered one of those thunder boxes iv never seen them before under my bike seat it looks like a rats nest wires every where that box should tidy it up nicely 👍
