Vancouver Airport is located on Sea Island in Richmond, Vancouver, standing as the gateway into Canada from over the pacific ocean, being the hub stop from destinations like Australia, New Zealand, and many parts of Asia. It also receives a lot of traffic from Europe and the UK too, making it a spotting fortress.
It is the second busiest airport in Canada, following Toronto Pearson. It is an iconic airport, being on the famous Sea Island, as the airport has a terminal for sea planes, a rare sight across the globe.
With a high volume of traffic, and stunning scenery, spotting in Vancouver, Canada is nothing short of spectacular, regardless of the weather!

That Avro 100 sounded like a bizjet and that Convair 340 was almost completely silent, so peculiar!
This was because of the wind noise, believe me, the Convairliner is one of the loudest turboprops out there.

I live in Vancouver and yes, it is a great place for plane watching. I miss the Fed-Ex 727`s ,but the KFC Convair
makes up for it.
It must have been windy the day Air India took off from the North runway. I have seen it using all real estate.
