All these years later, country music legend George Strait has admitted what we all suspected. Behind the fame and fortune, there’s a man and a story that few people really know.
George Strait is a country music icon, often called the King of Country, who has been widely loved and respected throughout his lengthy career, but there’s a side to him that most people don’t know, and it’s one that’s greatly influenced by his faith, his devotion to his wife, who happens to be his high school sweetheart, and the loss of his daughter.
If you have ever watched "Pure Country" you may have noticed that he did not kiss the woman he was acting with. Instead he hugged her because he said he would never kiss anyone but his wife so they had him hug her instead. Pretty awesome man.
It was his wife who insisted that he not kiss the lady!
Kirk Cameron did the same in the movie Fireproof.

George Strait's Dad was my Science teacher in Pearsall, Texas. He was such a nice man. Everyone in Pearsall knew George & Buddy were Mr. Strait's sons. They were 1 & 2 years behind me in High School. Those were the good old days growing up in a small town.
You know he's a special kind of talent when he's being played on the Oldies stations while he's still currently racking up Number 1 hits.
That's why he is called "Sir George" in Texas
George Strait is a class act ! You never hear ,read or see anything negative or bad about this man and that is almost nonexistent in any famous career . I truly believe that Mr Strait is a Christian and practices what he preaches .

I guess you didn't work at one of his annual events for over a decade, both in front of and behind the scenes. Like they say how people have skeletons in the closet? Some of us know of one of his, but I won't bring up the details. Then why did I say that? So that you would know there are two sides to every story, yours and those of us who were there. Just letting you know that you can't always judge a book by its cover.

I also lost my daughter to cancer in November 1992. By far the hardest trial I have ever walked through. I'm here today only by the grace of God, he has carried this broken mama. I also have a son who is 2 years younger than his sister. He was 9 when Heidi passed away. It's been 25 years and I KNOW WE'LL MEET AGAIN. God is faithful!

A standalone legend. My friends and I loved George from the early days of seeing him play at university venues and Starplex in Dallas. He doesn’t need the smoke and mirrors as shown in Pure Country. He can stand and sing without all of that because he’s his own show. Nothing else is needed.

I have been a big George Strait fan since 1981. He started as the best and he still is the best. He's good at everything he does. Garth Brooke is always nominated as the best country music singer but he even says that George Strait is the best of all.

Having lived and worked in the Pearsall Texas area, I was fortunate enough to meet and get to know his father and step mother... Salt of the earth and humble. He was truly raised by a wonderful and loving man. Meeting Mr. Straight, one would never know of his wealth holds or other riches in the world, a true humble and God fearing Man. Driving his OLD truck through town and eating at the local eateries just as like any and every one around him.. I admired his dad and was saddened in his passing, and also knowing his mother in law Mrs. Voss a great lady as well.. truly humble in heart and always doing for others before themselves.. God bless the family and continue to shine his light on them ...

I too, have lost a child and the hole in ur heart that is talked about is a real feeling. There are times that “the hole” feels super deep but I have other children to be here for the rest of my life. It’s amazing how much grief a person can withstand. God keeps you going.
George Strait is the classiest act in music. He goes to his favorite restaurant every morning and will set with the richest of the rich or the poorest of the poor. There's no distinction. I wish Hollywood would take after him.

The last concert to see George Strait were bought by my late daughter. She was my life, my world was her. I wait my turn to see her again in Heaven. Sure, like George we parents who have suffered such a tragedy as this.. We smile, but in our hearts we are shattered. Til that day we get thru somehow... May God Bless those who Pray us thru.
Keep the faith George. my wife and I lost a daughter in 1971 (kidnapped) and we thought she was gone forever. With the advent of DNA testing we reconnected with her 44 years later. The most glorious happening ever. We are still overwhelmed by our blessing. In Heaven you will see your daughter again and it will be even better than you can imagine. Like yours, our marriage has gotten stronger thru these trials and tribulations. When we finally reach the end of this road we will eagerly wait to join all the loved ones that have gone before.

I agree with my daughter (she and I are died in the wool, George Straight fans, but) we both believe he'd never have made it as far as he did without his band: The Ace in the Hole Band." The music was so perfect to dance to all these years and made him a hit with all those who loved to dance. I felt like he single-handedly cleaned up Country Music from the Willie Nelson/Waylon Jennings "Outlaw days" and loved the fact he came out wearing the Brush-Popper shits and made us admire the cowboys of America again. It all adds to the fact that God was indeed, looking out for George and made him a hit for his testimony. We will always be grateful for all the years that he has given to Country music. I have always felt bad for George Strait and his wife Norma for having to go through this tragedy. I think every Strait fan who really gets into his music and reads his biography information is very upset when they find this story out. This happened in 1986 and one could not imagine what they went through at the time. I think George Strait and his wife are very strong people and that took courage and strength for him to keep making great music over the years. In 1987 he released Ocean Front Property and that album was probably his best at the time.

I met George Straight just before his daughter's accident and death. I was working at Denver's nightclub Turn of the Century. He made a great impression on me. Never saw a belt buckle as big as a dish. He also seemed so full of energy and so clean, his shirt was new and magnificent. His teeth perfect nice smile and strong handshake.

Your first visit was our first date, in the summer of 1983. We married in the spring of 1984 and have been together ever since. You’ve been special to my husband and I because of that. I told my friends, “this guy is gonna be big!” Little did we know… So I have been a fan for more than 38 years! My husband has been one since just after Hee Haw at Doc Severenson’s. We relate to so many of your songs and have a remarkably happy marriage.

My sister lost 2 daughters, Diane was 4 and Laurie was 40. My poor sister, she is with them now in Heaven. I miss her so, we were so close. I will see her again, along with my precious Mama, and my precious fur babies, Cassie and Carlie.

People always talk about seeing each in heaven but they never talk about seeing Jesus. I just went through that with my cousin’s ex wife. She told me being saved would put all together in heaven. I told her that she had left out the most important reason. To be with Jesus. She was speechless. She didn’t know what to say after that. I feel sorry anyone that has lost a child. Not just George Strait.

Took me awhile to realize that my faith had to come first , but I did and still do pray for others. I raised my 2 sons to thank the Lord for our blessings . There's always someone else who has it worse , be thankful for what the Lord has given us .

Mr. Strait, I honestly can't say how long, but as far back as I can remember. I hold dear a memory of my daughter who passed away just shy of a year ago, to one with your hit movie Pure Country; she wore that movie out with me watching it with her... I was a fan long before then... My Randi was special needs, but healed now... Praise the Lord! I am a child of the most high God, saved by amazing grace, I live to serve God and witness for what He has done for me, and lobe to hear what He has done for other's as well! He is so amazing! As a songwriter and a mom who lost two sons..I wrote a song about George Strait and Flaco Jimenez. Both live in San Antonio, Texas. They each had a daughter born in 1972. They both died the same way. Car accidents. Jenifer 1986 and Rosalinda 1999. The song is call The 7 and The 2. This summer, after this virus is history, I will be performing the song.

It was June 1986, and I had just received my driver's license a week before Jennifer's death. I remember I was driving down the road, taking my sister and her friends somewhere. The radio was on and the DJ ended a song with the sad news that Jennifer Strait had been killed in a car accident at 13, when she was thrown from the vehicle and hit her head on the curb (remember, this is what was on the news THEN, not now). She wasn't wearing a seatbelt. A moment later I announced: "Seatbelts. Everyone. Now! Or get out of my car!" Everyone complied. 32 years later, I still buckle up if I'm just pulling the car from one parking space to another. And anyone who doesn't wear a seatbelt in my car, can walk.

There is nothing more inexplicable and torturing than losing someone you love. Grief can make you lose yourself for awhile and then make you become so physically tired that you can barely move. It takes enormous strength just to get through a day, then a week, then a month, then just carry on the best you can. I can't imagine how hard it would be to get up on a stage, be entertaining, crack jokes and just carry on for people who have no idea the iron will it takes just to carry on.

I lost my daughter 7 18 2020.it was one gut drenching heart breaking experiencing that lasts forever.my faith in jesus christ has got me thru it.we will meet again one day in heaven amen.my daughter legt her 4year old son.i have him to care for.my daughter was 47.

George has never missed an opportunity to show his love of family and all things American . In Amarillo by Morning , he tells us what's important. I aint got a dime but what I got is mine , I aint rich but Lord I'm free . Young people today have been deprived of feeling true pride from living in the greatest place on earth .Instead , they are taught to feel shame for being an example of success and freedom to all . We were never perfect but we never stopped trying to be better . We cared about the country and our families were everything . And we were willing to die to preserve this great experiment called America . And many of us still are . Are they willing to die to kill America ? I doubt it .Everything hinges on what we do now and we must do everything we can to expose the left for what it really is . If we don't take full advantage of our chance , I feel strongly that we won't get another and America will no longer produce men like George . Thanks George . The suicide rate was high enough before, now they're committing suicide from untreated chronic physical pain as well.

CIA runs the narrative....according to the CIA, which is unconstitutional, was created outside of Congress by Truman to be above & not answerable to the POTUS, & is a rogue agency Truman regretted this decision almost immediately, he realized what he meant wouldn't get accomplished by CIA, but worse.
