I was there also. Long ago and far away but still gives me goosebumps. Graduated from high school a month later and grew up on the U of M west bank - next to Augsburg. Used to sneak into the Riverside.
It's a thrill to hear Mike and Leo play "Fiddle and the Drum" (aka "In Your Eyes"). Amazing artists.. best, sister-in-law
They are sooooo talented. What quality! Singing and playing the guitar like this, is just something else.
I got to be in studio for this and both Michael and leo were truly on top of their game that night. My recording of it was very flawed so this is truly a treasure!

Such a surprise. Both artists were followed by roommates on my dorm floor back in ‘72. Makes sense that they would know each other (came from the same region?) but never knew they performed together. Thanks for the treat.
Love this!! It's like we are back on Pine Lake, listening to them, in Annie's living room in the late '60s, early '70s... Michael will always hold a special place in my heart.❤️ That golden voice! And Leo !! "Want to play?" What talent, what a treat!!

What a tremendous delight to have run across this gem today (same day as this was released!) I fell in love with Michael J’s music right around the time that this concert was originally recorded. A college friend and I attended many of Michael J’s concerts during the 70’s and I had almost all of his albums (they were vinyl back in those “olden days”!) After vinyls went extinct I had regretfully gotten rid of those precious gems. Ever since I’ve searched for them as CD’s without any luck. Just within the last few weeks I’ve been able to get some through Amazon. This last week I’ve discovered more on TH-cam. What a THRILL! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This brought back memories of Michael at his nooner concerts in the mid 70’s. He was a consummate performer and Leo, of course , was the guitarist that just blew us away in the early seventies. Such a treasure!

All the variations I ever heard and still even more on Eggtooth are here. I remember a night around 1988 backstage here in Nashville, It was the night Leo introduced me to Michael great memories , great music. they played a little bit of Eggtooth and Mona Ray.
