Please help answer these questions. 1) What should I use ether for? The 1 main thing. 2) If I buy artifacts with ether (at the start of the game), is there any advantage or is it just a wastage? 3) What are the doors with star on them? I am just too scared to go in them lol. Seems like a boss room or something
1) spend it on whatever. Personally I used them on the first ether (at spawn) as it unlocks the artifacts you haven't unlocked yet allowing for more runs to have better gear. Orherwise save them for cleansing chest when you desperately are looking for upgraded gear and can't risk the high/very high infection rate 2) answered in my first point 3) they are loot rooms. They put you in an area lockdown as you kill a few waves and a mini boss. Always giving different guns, hp, items, sometimes artifacts
I like to save up the ether to use the reconstructor. If I'm in a good run and got far its definitely worth the 6 ether. I personally only use ether to cleanse chests if I'm already super fucked up by all the malfunctions. Great game BTW!
Ether is rare in Act I (B1-3). I would invest in the reconstructor. These will spawn you back at it when you die. Artefacts you buy at the Cthonos will be permanently unlocked meaning there is a chance of you finding that through cycles / runs. The golden star gate is a containment /challenge room. There are 3 waves of enemies specific to that biome. Beating all 3 opens up a locked gate with a few items.
Loving the game but good God I can't get passed the first section lol I have died atleast 80 times in 2 days of playing. And I still can't find the sword lol

@@consolegamer8871 keep at it! It’s all about the gear!! I finished that 1st boss but when going to the 2nd biome took my time, sometimes 30-40 mins grinding the 1st biome to get good health and items. This massively paid off as 3rd run into 2nd area I got some great items (health regen when low and extra protection when overcharge) and a really powerful assault rifle! Got all the way to the 2nd boss and beat him 1st time. Those 3 things I picked up undoubtedly kept me alive to finish the fight. @@taxi615 how did you get to the first boss without the sword. You randomly get the sword in the first biome pretty late in it. But yeah this game is hard as hell. I've done about 11 runs and have only fought the boss once and got to the 3rd phase and had him half way down and died. I've lost a couple of good runs and 1 really good one where I was fixing to fight the boss bc this game is stupid and you can't pause and save and I put the ps5 in sleep mode and over night my power went out. That's the worst thing about this game. No clue why they won't let you pause and instead make it to where you have to keep the game running and the ps5 in the sleep mode if you want to continue your run.not everybody wants to run thru the game start to finish in 1 sitting. Yeah maybe once you're really good at it and get to the end every time and it doesn't take that long but when you're not great at it and it takes a while just to beat the first biome we shouldn't have to play until we die to be able to quit the game. Sometimes it can get frustrating and but I might have a good run going but want to pause it and play something else for a little while and then come back to it but can't nope they don't let you do that. It's amazing they haven't added that feature yet.
It doesn’t respawn in front of the house. U get it there the 1st time and then it is added to the loot pool and u may pick it up in the world. I’ve noticed I find it most identified in the fabricator shop, not every time but I’ve bought on there on 3 different runs so far.
In my game after I searched the house once it was inaccessible most of the tines I went to it, save for one other instance where it let me in and the sequence was slightly different.

Ok so I figured out something big last night for those who don’t know. Don’t pickup Silphium that you don’t need. If you cycle back around later Silphium that is left on the ground will turn into Resin later. I figured this out last night while I was testing something else out. It’s a big deal as you can hit 200% Max integrity really quick.
@@nekaneka-lo2js Okay with more testing it only works with Small Silphium. If you leave it on the ground and return awhile later it turns into Silphium Resin. I’ve tested this multiple times now. I had a room full of Small Silphium after a challenge room fight and couldn’t pick them up as I had the parasite that disables Silphium healing but gives you lifesteal. So I couldn’t pick them up if I wanted. Came back later and all four of them were Resin. Shocked the shit out of me.
This game nearly broke me trying to beat Biome 3 but after more than 25 hours of playtime and so many deaths I finally managed to pull it off and it was just exhausting but rewarding.

@@Hooliegaming21 ive been in the house twice in the 1st biome...different things happened inside but can only get the astronaut on the 1st time u visit
there is an option for "dynamic UI" that hides them when not "relevant" ... you can change that option. There is also a bug which hides it if you put the option on and then off, you just need to toggle it again.
Why don't you explain that if you're at full health all Silphium is converted into resin, so in biome 1 it's best to leave silphium if you're damaged, go back to your ship and rest, then go back and pick it up as resin.
Just imagine if they come out with a part 2 of this game, that you have to travel to different worlds to collect important stuff to safe humanity. But the same concept as is right now. Lol just me in my crazy mind
Finding the boss is the hardest part of this game. In dark souls you fight a small path of enemies jus to retry. In returnal, you have to fight thru a mile of enemies. And if u die you lose EVERYTHING. TRY FIGHTING A BOSS WITH A PISTOL. No, try fighting a boss with full health. Good luck.
@@GamingRobioto these kind of comments crack me up. There is simply no other rogues out there that - completely wipe everything you have - don’t allow saves so you must beat the game in a single play through - or have this level of difficulty. Tbh the game isn’t hard - the complete wipe is what makes it hard. Losing hours and hours of progression is beyond frustrating for most people. That’s the problem with the game - it’s “hard” for the sake of being hard to extended the life of the game. Which sucks. It’s a huge miss they didn’t provide more replay value to the game vs making a game that can take you a long time to finish and then gives you no reason to play it again. A $70 game should not be a one and done game.
@@waidan so basically once you beat the first boss you can get to the second biome reasonably quick, once you get to the second boss you get a portal that takes you back to the boss should you fail (again reasonably quick) and that’s the flow. The main issue is unless you’re just an absolute all star you’re going to really struggling fighting the boss and enemies with no upgrades or gear at all. When you first reach a biome on a respawn you’ll get a weapon tier item that boost your weapon tier a bit to put you more in line with the level. I think what they should do is make the Boone that raises your weapon tier just give you an rng boost for everything you could of encountered in the previous biome. That way each play through is random but it gives you a fighting chance on the biome so you aren’t wasting time grinding to compete. The way the system is now it basically is only there to extend the life of the game and force you to farm the content over again for the sake of wasting time. It’s a system people complain about in virtually every game. No one wants to grind old stuff to play new stuff. The rng Boone system could also take care of the save problem or lack there of. Hopefully they adopt something like that in the future.
@@waidan yah the problem is this is a “rogue like” that’s also a “doom like” platformer with puzzles. It has a bit of an identity crisis tbh. The argument of a rogue like system so it should be expected doesn’t really work when the game combines like 6 genres into 1 game. Hades is a rogue like, this game isn’t. It’s more an arcade fast paced shooter with a 15 hour story that gets inflated by the rogue element. Which really is unfortunate and takes away a lot from the overall game. I wish they had either gone all in with the rogue like or not included it at all. At some point it isn’t about the difficulty as much as every aspect of the game is weighted against the player which just feels bad.
So one of the devs said in an interview that there is an algorithm in place for how well the player is doing. So if you die 20 times in a row early on for example, the game will adjust difficulty slightly as well as offer better items e.t.c.
@@theindiediary5950 thanks you give me hope i was about to give up I cant even reach the second boss im having so much difficulty this game is tougher than demons souls for me
Bro some of your tips are not accurate. You can't dodge thru all projectiles (mainly purple colored waves and beams), the astronaut figurine only appears once after the house and the other times you pick it up is on a fabricator or a random drop.
I am pretty sure if you have full health before you enter a new room, resin is spawned in place of healing items. If you don't do this, you might not find much resin on the map. Another reason besides adrenaline not to take damage.
As far as I can tell the two items you described are one and the same. The only difference is. If you are missing health it heals you, if your at full health the it’s worth an upgrade point.
@@briskoaverett5573 I was thinking that too, but I often find a resin even at partial health. It does not heal me, but adds a pip instead. Entering a room with full health never seems to spawn a healing item though.

@@Jsobone "Just watch his patterns..." Spending so little time with the boss between 60 minute runs to get to them is my main issue with the game. The proportion of time you're wandering around with a pistol versus actually fighting bosses seems out of whack to me. That is making the bosses MUCH harder than they need to be, at least for me. I don't build timing and muscle memory skill for a boss wandering around aimlessly with a pistol. I can only imagine how long it would have taken me to kill Darkeater Midir in Dark Souls III if I had to spend 90 minutes each time just to get there with useful gear.

House scenes may be linked to bosses ? I did 3 scenes and im at the third boss
Yeah I think there was the first scene when you first found the key before the first boss, then a new scene unlocks after every successful boss battle
@@SimpsonMarshmellow I’ve had 3 house scenes and I haven’t gotten to the 3rd boss yet
Yeah that’s what I’m saying. 1 before boss 1, 1 after boss 1, and one after boss 2 which is 3
Holy shit, I've played for over 30 hours and never knew about the gate buttons LOL Nice vid, thanks!
Dodge does NOT make you immune to all damage, in act 2 they introduce purple waves (instead of red) and those have to be jumped over or ducked under. Dodging through them will cause you to take damage, I thought something else was hitting me but it states purple waves can’t be dodged through in one of the Creatures Databank section.
Yeah this video was rushed. Not a single secret. All the info is from early game and some of the info is just wrong. For example u can only enter the house after u kill a boss. And the astronaut figure never respawns outside.
Oh, thank you for the confirmation I thought it was just me but I also found that you can counter some enemies by meleeing (can’t spell) think. 🤷♂️
1:55 there's an artifact not sure if i got it from datacube or regular gameplay but it let's you get hit 1 time w/out reseting adrenaline. Has a semi "short" cooldown too so it's not one time use.
Orherwise save them for cleansing chest when you desperately are looking for upgraded gear and can't risk the high/very high infection rate
2) answered in my first point
3) they are loot rooms.
You cannot dodge through purple projectiles or lasers, so no, no there.
I'm pretty sure you can dodge thru the lasers. I think it tells you to at one point but I could be mistaken.
Great video, thanks for the tips . Finding the game very hard but really enjoying it. Look forward to seeing your next video.
Loving the game but good God I can't get passed the first section lol I have died atleast 80 times in 2 days of playing. And I still can't find the sword lol

Some great tips in here and everything explained really well. Think I’m ready to jump back in!!
Same. It's tough. Definitely not Dead Space at all.
You’ve just gotta keep going and sooner or later you’ll get a run with great items that’ll help get you through.
What realy helped me with the bosses was pausing before each fight then going to youtube to watch a couple people beating them.

The astronaut figurine didn't respawn in front of the house for me :(
It doesn’t respawn in front of the house. U get it there the 1st time and then it is added to the loot pool and u may pick it up in the world. I’ve noticed I find it most identified in the fabricator shop, not every time but I’ve bought on there on 3 different runs so far.
Awesome video makes it a lot easier.
In my game after I searched the house once it was inaccessible most of the tines I went to it, save for one other instance where it let me in and the sequence was slightly different.
Omg. Dodging through? I had no idea

Wait WHAT?
@@nekaneka-lo2js Okay with more testing it only works with Small Silphium. If you leave it on the ground and return awhile later it turns into Silphium Resin. I’ve tested this multiple times now. I had a room full of Small Silphium after a challenge room fight and couldn’t pick them up as I had the parasite that disables Silphium healing but gives you lifesteal. So I couldn’t pick them up if I wanted. Came back later and all four of them were Resin. Shocked the shit out of me.
@@JoeJohnsonJunior it’s all sizes and 200% is not mac once you open up other biomes

Why don't you explain that if you're at full health all Silphium is converted into resin, so in biome 1 it's best to leave silphium if you're damaged, go back to your ship and rest, then go back and pick it up as resin.

Top tip to Remap Melee to R3
Thanks for that Tip, it makes a lot of sense.
Good luck.
True and that for me is a big balancing issue tbh.
It's a rouge like/lite, what are complaining about is a fundamental part of the game's design and us not going away.
I felt that it is harder in the beginning and get easier the longer you play.
So one of the devs said in an interview that there is an algorithm in place for how well the player is doing. So if you die 20 times in a row early on for example, the game will adjust difficulty slightly as well as offer better items e.t.c.

Has anyone experienced some of glitch where you can not go through a door? I heard that there was a save data corruption? What I did was delete all saved data.

I'm pretty far and I almost never aim my guns. Hipfire is ur friend.
