Cottage living is the most versatile build pack imho. It pairs well with nearly everything outside of a city theme. Horse ranch's gameplay stuff and cottage living's general vibes are a perfect combo.
hey simsie, i have a build request. could you build a small cottage with a guest house/ greenhouse and a small flower shop? i think it would be fun to pretend to run a flower farm 🌸
Why not really run one with your sims? All you need is a greenhouse to grow your flowers, a flower areanging table to make them into arrangements and a selling table from one of the packs that has it to sell them on. It's good money too.
My favourite starter you've made!! So pretty and so full despite the budget! Cottage living and horse ranch is a great combo. I love playing farm households because I also love Stardew Valley so this is perfect!
Hey Kayla, would you ever consider doing a follow up video of any of your starters showing how you'd upgrade it as your sim started earning more money (or like, after they get married and get 20k). Maybe adding a second story on a smaller one or expanding out on a larger lot
I'm watching this while I'm playing the Stardew update, wearing a sweater that I cross-stitched my Stardew onto, drinking tea from a Stardew Mug, and making notations in my Stardew journal. Absolute bliss,
I think it's one of my favorite starter house you've done so far. It's so beautiful it doesn't even look like a starter 💗 It has so much more personality than a regular blue suburban
You should build an easter house with the cottage living flowery wallpaper *like the one with bunnies!, the Pastel Pop rug with the strawberries and the flowers, and the books with the bunny book ends. thought this was a good idea since easter is sneaking up!
Honestly, this is your best starter home ever. As others have said, cows and horses are often kept together if you have both, for the benefit of both. They’re social creatures. I think the only change I would make is adding a pet bed & bowl so there could be a farm cat or dog. You also had SO much budget left for clutter. I think you need to make more single story starter homes. For much of the US anyway, single story homes are far more common and in the Sims, stairs are expensive.
My mother and I play together and are so excited for the 1.6 update to come to console. I have been trying to avoid spoilers, which has been difficult, but I am happy to see a lot of people having a great time with it. This build is fantastic and has given me some inspiration to farm in the sims in the meantime:)
This starter is so cute and I can't believe she fit so much useful gameplay stuff within the starter budget using limited packs. Very impressive! Watching Simsie's streams is what introduced me to Stardew and now it's one of my go-to games for cozy vibes. I have two main gaming moods, it's either hard core horror or cozy lol.
Stardew has made its way into my sims too! Have you considered recreating / translating stardew valley buildings into the sims? Also would love to watch a stardew valley series on sims!
This starter home is perfect 👏🏼 I have a little tip for you to save some money when you make a chimney with walls. In this specific case, when you make the walls on the second floor, make the wall height higher, and use tall half walls. That way you save one "set" of walls 😊 (I hope it makes sense😅)
I also enjoy Stardew Valley! I’m usually a silent viewer of the channel but I love your content, and your videos actually got me into the sims, absolutely love your channel and your vibes!💖
Another stardew fan here!!! I'm so so happy you made a horse ranch and cottage living only build as those are the only two expansion packs I have atm! AND because of the stardew update, I have got back into horse ranch so this will be a lot I use a ton!! ❤❤❤
Thanks for the spoiler free SDV content! LOL!! I'm loving the new update so much! I keep playing, discover something new, and out loud say "Thanks Concerned Ape!". the little quality of life adjustments are fantastic.
This is awesome! DEFINITELY of my favorites you've ever done! I do think you are too scared of dirt terrain paint though, you could go a little darker and heavier with it.
Getting me through college as well but am running out of ideas after playing all the different farm set ups like mountain, beach, monster, and river... any more ideas?
my mom is a big stardew player. a little over a year ago on new year’s day she told us all her resolution was to “become a gamer.” this was kinda out of character for her as she never played nintendo games with us growing up like our dad did. my little sisters friend recommended stardew valley and she’s been hooked ever since! it’s been a year and a half and i’m pretty sure it’s the only game she plays (aside from her brief goat simulator phase). my mom was a SAHM for like 10 years; she was always running around after the three of us. then she was back to work, then getting her masters. as we get older it’s been great to see her have more time for herself and start new hobbies. (same goes for my dad but he’s not a gamer)
I LOOOOVE Stardew!! Love this combination for Startdew and SIMS too they go hand in hand.... also I immediately went to Etsy to look for your shirt. So cute!
I'm a big fan of stardew valley, I played it a lot a couple of years ago. It's nice to see that you also enjoy both games that I like, stardew valley and the sims
I love Stardew so much, and I've loved your Stardew streams lately, I also feel so lucky I got the chickens named shrimp and tiny on my new farm, I know it's not but it feels like a simsie easter egg and an overlap of my two fav things ❤
Kayla stop this build is gonna be so helpful because I literally just started my own lil rags 2 riches where it’s just my sim and a horse in Henford on Bagley and I’ve started a little farm shop selling produce from my goats/cow/chickens with the food stand from the Home Chef Hustle pack✨✨✨ once I make enough money I am so gonna download this thankyou
I really like stardew valley, I would like to play it again, the music is a bop, the character are interesting and the game mechanics is good despite the fact that I simply haven't got the one for fishing, the aesthetic is very cute, I truly love watching the duck swinging in the river or sea depending on the type of farm, the coal tree happening is clever in a way, and the mushroom trees!!!! I really like the game, it's peaceful.
omg i've been playing stardew nonstop recently, but i have console and the update's not out for us yet, so i've been playing the sims to try and quench my gaming thirst!! this is perfect
You inspired me to play with Cottage Living again! I played it a lot when it first came out but it's been a minute. Suddenly I want to make a lot of money with the gardening skill and building up the house with the profits. And probably have a Sims kid or 3 along the way!
I would've used a lot close to horse equipment in the horse ranch world, so this could save a lot. And if you want it more green, I would focus more on the middle of the lot and fade it out to the outside to fit better into the landscape. 😇❤️
I'm not in the market for a farm (or a starter home) ATM but it IS very cute! I will admit, I wish you'd leave at least 2 counters empty - I know it doesn't look as cute but one of my favorite things is for sims to cook together. Of course I just fix it, lol, but its always on my mind because of that!
Kayla, love you, and this build was ✨️chef's kiss✨️....but having your sims just randomly on the lot while you build around them was chaos that made my eye twitch 😂
I got stardew after hearing you talk about it and watching you play, and its now my favourite game! I made sure i had nothing on yesterday so I could play the new update lol
I am currently playing a farming/ranching game in the Sims4. I started with 24000, and progressively grown the farm. Have a cat, a horse, farming, two kids (under toddler) and my family is farming and Nector making.
I feel like you can not put dining room tables in 99% of builds. Sims eat on the couch and half the time a kitchen island and chairs will fit a lot better than having to squeeze in the table and chairs
My cows and horses were pretty much always in the same field growing up. Same with our donkey and alpacas, our goats were always free range, same with our chickens. Oh our deer were always in a separate field until they got released. I love talking about my farm sorry
the chest to store crops like stardew is PERFECT
Might end up doing a 'rags to riches' with this lot where it's grandma/pa's house and they're dead... Gotta do the classic "save the farm"
Very Stardew Valley appropriate :)
Love this idea!
horse ranch and cottage living is such a good combo
Cottage living is the most versatile build pack imho. It pairs well with nearly everything outside of a city theme. Horse ranch's gameplay stuff and cottage living's general vibes are a perfect combo.
stardew valley + the sims = perfection 🤩
lilsimsie plays stardew valley confirmed, honestly it doesn't sound to far off... she watches city planer plays for crying out loud 🤣
@@Hamstorianshe has for ages
@@pfftxoxo1502 yeah that makes sense

That's such a cute idea 💖💖💖
I love that!

this is one of my favorite builds you’ve ever done, Kayla!! it’s so lovely and inspiring!
My favourite starter you've made!! So pretty and so full despite the budget! Cottage living and horse ranch is a great combo. I love playing farm households because I also love Stardew Valley so this is perfect!
Feels like ages since you've done a city living apartment, I would love to see one!!
Hey Kayla, would you ever consider doing a follow up video of any of your starters showing how you'd upgrade it as your sim started earning more money (or like, after they get married and get 20k). Maybe adding a second story on a smaller one or expanding out on a larger lot

"I don't love how it looks, but I love how it functions"
Put this on a t-shirt, new sims catchphrase
its really the opposite for ts4
Stardew has made its way into my sims too! Have you considered recreating / translating stardew valley buildings into the sims? Also would love to watch a stardew valley series on sims!
Dr Gluon has done this! He even used For Rent to move the town into one giant lot with all of Stardew Valley included.
This starter home is perfect 👏🏼
I have a little tip for you to save some money when you make a chimney with walls. In this specific case, when you make the walls on the second floor, make the wall height higher, and use tall half walls. That way you save one "set" of walls 😊 (I hope it makes sense😅)

For the fence you maybe could have used debug fences to save money. But I love how the house looks for the budget, You’ve done a great job Kayla!
This turned out so good! Also, I loooovee Stardew Valley!!!
I just realised that 'chest to store crops' looks EXACTLY like the selling one in stardew
I love Stardew Valley!! It's actually the reason why I majored in horticulture (graduating this spring!!!)
Its giving the fox and and hound ❤
Im using this house and loving it!😁
Another stardew fan here!!! I'm so so happy you made a horse ranch and cottage living only build as those are the only two expansion packs I have atm! AND because of the stardew update, I have got back into horse ranch so this will be a lot I use a ton!! ❤❤❤
See, I love stardew and the Sims but hate horses or really anything country but her videos make it so much more tolerable!
i've been playing stardew valley nonstop. the update is everything
Thanks for the spoiler free SDV content! LOL!! I'm loving the new update so much! I keep playing, discover something new, and out loud say "Thanks Concerned Ape!". the little quality of life adjustments are fantastic.
Love this build, and the fact that it's limited in packs and therefore accessible for me. Thank you, lilsimsie!
That terrain paint you did on the barrels in jumps is actually very realistic!
This is awesome! DEFINITELY of my favorites you've ever done! I do think you are too scared of dirt terrain paint though, you could go a little darker and heavier with it.
I love this one! Will have to download it for my sim after she has her city breakdown and moves away to nature 😹💚
Stardew is iconic!! Love this starter!
such a pretty starter house! i always forget how beautiful henford-on-bagley is ❤
downloading the update as i watch this lol ty simsie!
Cute! Hopefully simsie will do more unlimited budget/ pack builds soon. Thanks for your creativity
Love this build! Farming is my favorite game play element
Another amazing build!! Love the cute house and farm!!
This is so cute! I need to make a new legacy home for my Poison Garden family and I’m not sure how I want it to look.
i went on twitch yesterday and i swear everyone i watch was playing the stardew valley update
Perfect, I’ve just started my knitting 😂
I love using the pine or dead grass terrain around the animal houses to look like hay
Lil simsie, I just wanna say I don’t think any of us would be mad if u wanted to do a lil stardew let’s play on TH-cam
I wanna second this. I know she streams it fairly often, but I'd love an edited let's play.
Maybe on the second channel…?
This is one of the best starter you ever did. It looks so fancy
Yay I love this building and I love Stardew Valley!!
stardew valley is my all time fav game!! got me through college tbh. It's been so fun to see you playing the update on stream!
Getting me through college as well but am running out of ideas after playing all the different farm set ups like mountain, beach, monster, and river... any more ideas?
Stardew is one of my favorites as well. Love the inspiration for this build. 😁

I do love Stardew Valley! The new update is great! 😊 and your starter farm home is beautiful! Loving it! 😊
This is so adorable and a useful build!
I’m gonna need to download this as soon as I get home from work!
I LOOOOVE Stardew!! Love this combination for Startdew and SIMS too they go hand in hand.... also I immediately went to Etsy to look for your shirt. So cute!
So excited that the build uses packs I actually own!!
(Remember all the packs are on sale this week folks!)
Love a good starter home upload
PERFECT timing!!! my lunch is almost here
I'm a big fan of stardew valley, I played it a lot a couple of years ago. It's nice to see that you also enjoy both games that I like, stardew valley and the sims
I have also loved Stardew Valley for many years! I’d definitely enjoy more SV themed or inspired builds.
I think mods from Lot 51 gonna match the vibe, the free range shelter one.
the horse ranch pack is so full that it feels like you’re using multiple packs! this is definitely your best starter house ever
one of the best starter ever and even just base game + cottage living and horse ranch
I'd love to see kayla post a stardew valley video
This is so amazing!
I love Stardew so much, and I've loved your Stardew streams lately, I also feel so lucky I got the chickens named shrimp and tiny on my new farm, I know it's not but it feels like a simsie easter egg and an overlap of my two fav things ❤
Waow, I'm impressed by this one! So cheap, so little packs and it looks so finished and nice! Gotta love debugg hahaha
i love love loveeeeeee this build!!!!!! best starter ever literally
As far as Starter houses go٫ it's not bad at all and it's actually really cute 😊🥰💖
Just used this in my world!! It looks so good ❤
I really like stardew valley, I would like to play it again, the music is a bop, the character are interesting and the game mechanics is good despite the fact that I simply haven't got the one for fishing, the aesthetic is very cute, I truly love watching the duck swinging in the river or sea depending on the type of farm, the coal tree happening is clever in a way, and the mushroom trees!!!! Thanks for all the wonderful videos!!
omg i've been playing stardew nonstop recently, but i have console and the update's not out for us yet, so i've been playing the sims to try and quench my gaming thirst!! this is perfect
I'm actually going to download and play this house right now. It looks so good for a starter home!
KAYLA! You’re the reason I got into stardew like.. 2 years ago!!! I love that game so much dude
You inspired me to play with Cottage Living again! I played it a lot when it first came out but it's been a minute. Suddenly I want to make a lot of money with the gardening skill and building up the house with the profits. And probably have a Sims kid or 3 along the way!

Recreating your Stardew Valley farm in the Sims would be a fun challenge!
This is such a great build! I’ll be downloading it the next time I play for sure ❤
This is actually a really good build for a starter
Every Sims player I know is also obsessed with Stardew Valley lol. They're the perfect combo!
It would be awesome to see stardew (or similar) videos on your channel! Love your streams ❤
I've never played Stardew Valley, but this build is adorable.
Kayla, love you, and this build was ✨️chef's kiss✨️....but having your sims just randomly on the lot while you build around them was chaos that made my eye twitch 😂
I’m obsessed with Stardew Valley!!!
Now i really need to get horse ranch and cottage living. I love the sunflower bushes, to big or to little its never enough
I looovvve Stardew!! Also this build is perfect!!
I absolutely LOVE Stardew Valley!! Unfortunately I play it on console so I have to wait for the console update to come out. I am so excited for it!!!
I have also been playing Stardew Valley nonstop since the update!! I can't believe how much concerned ape added for free!!
This one deserves a LP
I love stardew valley! I haven’t played it in SO long though
I’ve never been so early lol
Girl ur so pretty
me too lol
welcome
Me too 😭
I wonder if it's possible to be first to a Mr. Beast video.
I got stardew after hearing you talk about it and watching you play, and its now my favourite game! I made sure i had nothing on yesterday so I could play the new update lol
This build is SO nice
I really like Stardew Valley! I recently just got it so I’m still in Year 1, but it’s fun!
Would love to see some stardew gameplay from you!
I am currently playing a farming/ranching game in the Sims4. I started with 24000, and progressively grown the farm. Have a cat, a horse, farming, two kids (under toddler) and my family is farming and Nector making.

Especially in a house with no kids having to do homework, I really think the dining rooms tables are just a waste of space
this is one of the best starter homes you have ever made

I love talking about my farm sorry
