The whole episode I was staring at the cooked bacon, how you didn't sample was beyond me. I'm definitely going to make these with twice the bacon, so I'll have enough.
You mean you don’t hide the bacon while you wait for the meat to cook!! I do.. in the microwave or the oven because it will disappear. So excited to try this
The few places in the SF Bay Area where I live serve Alambres with steak, onion, bell peppers, chorizo, bacon, and or ham. Sometimes even mushrooms with a pile of flour tortillas. They're definitely my go to dish
This looks fantastic!! I've read negative comments about bacon.........huh????? Bacon along with the worchestershire really gives it a different depth of flavor. I'm making this! Thanks Rick!
I love all your recipes and presentations, but this one really caught my attention! I've never tasted this version before, I am so excited to try it! Thank you so much.
My wife and I had these for our wedding reception dinner complete with an abuela making fresh tortillas They are also similar to tacos discada that I have had/made on my disco
I have heard that the origin of "tacos alambre" (not "tacos de alambre" as though you were eating wire tacos), goes like this "¿mamá, qué vamos a comer? ¨Pues tacos, no? ¨Bueno, pues, al hambre."
They look delicious. Enjoy. I would suggest not being "liberal" with salt. Causes high blood pressure, etc, like it did to me. Salt should be a "garnish" to enhance flavor that's already there. Yummy cooking, Mr. Bayless.
What would you use in place of onions, as I have family members that don't like nor will they eat anything with onion flavor. I would have to use bell pepper and something else to make this dish. They also do not like celantro either.
Parsley is an easy sub for Cilantro. Onions are hard to replicate without staying in the Alliums (Leek, Shallot, etc.) But I assume that counts as onion flavor? Maybe try bell pepper (lame with the Poblano IMO) or perhaps Fennel, assuming they can tolerate the Anise/licorice flavor?
. It's not the wrong channel. It was a question if there were substitutes for cilantro and onions as I have family members that love Mexican food, but don't like cilantro or onions. They don't like these 2 things in their food.
I noticed you were touching the raw meat and then went straight to holding and spreading/grinding the salt and the pepper without washing hands first. I’m always frantically washing my hands in the kitchen whenever I touch raw meat to ensure I don’t accidentally contaminate anything. Have I been wasting my time with all the hand washing?
Thanks. The leek and shallots are a no go as well. They don't even like onion flavor even if I use onion powder. I may just have to pass on making this dish. Keep up the good work.
I'm sorry, but I believe that artificial bacon flavor ruined the entire dish. The way it's made normally you could have just substituted the 25% ground pork for pork belly.
We need a Bayless Taco Cookbook!
Well done sir
I used to eat a lot a “alambres” in mexico 🇲🇽
Now that I’m living in the USA 🇺🇸 I’m learning how to cook it
I wonder how many unique types of tacos Rick has eaten over the course of his life...love this guy's recipes.
The whole episode I was staring at the cooked bacon, how you didn't sample was beyond me. I'm definitely going to make these with twice the bacon, so I'll have enough.
Agree! 👍🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓
Seriously. I always have to make 2x what I need because I have the impulse control of a child. 😂
Ribeye seared in bacon fat... what dreams are made of.
As I read the thumbnail, I got more stoked after every word!
bacon... steak... cheese... tacos...
It's pretty much as tasty as something can get.

You’re killing me! Now I gotta go to the store!
I love hearing to speak. Cooking looks absolutely delicious

Thanks for another video! Looks like another home run!
I made this tonight - delicious!
I love all your recipes and presentations, but this one really caught my attention! I've never tasted this version before, I am so excited to try it! Thank you so much.
My all-time favorite! 🍻
A Mexican Cheesesteak?! Well, you haven't let me down yet, better just do what the man says...
My wife and I had these for our wedding reception dinner complete with an abuela making fresh tortillas

Always great Rick!
Love you and your family...including Skip...
Two o'clock in the morning and i'm watching this eating a peanut butter sandwich😮
How is this guy not more popular?
His brothers douchebaggieness spills over onto him...
Bro is that all u make are tacos? 😂😂😂 cmon Skip ❤❤❤
Hey Rick I ❤ you 😊😊
I'm glad to see Rick hasn't embraced the digital watch trend.
Thank you.
Skip really messed up when he stopped talking to his bro... dude can cook

Sí, por favor
Yum
And of course his walls are the color of avocados
If you ever need a food tester. Let me know. K Thanks!
Imagine being a known Mexican food lover and not having any salsa ready for his tacos 😂.
love you so much more than your brother
Great recipe! Could I please have the name(brand) of that sauce please.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
OK.
Chef! What happened to your Mango Mojito recipe on your site? I haven't had it in a while, so I bought the ingredients. Just needed ratios. 😢
They look delicious. Enjoy.

Yummy cooking, Mr. Bayless.
You did not actually say what you poured onto steak, I assuming is worcestersauce...
Love you bro

Just skip the onions and cilantro. If you want the green, use baby/micro greens of choice. Use what tastes good to you!
Thought they were called picky eaters because they are supposed to pick the things out of the food they don’t like 😂
If there is an issue with cilantro and onion, this is probably the wrong channel for you
. It's not the wrong channel. It was a question if there were substitutes for cilantro and onions as I have family members that love Mexican food, but don't like cilantro or onions. They don't like these 2 things in their food.
What kind of pepper mill is that???

No, what you do is correct for food safety. I was also surprised Rick didn't use his other hand that didn't touch the meat.
Nothing lives in salt and I'm sure he wipes down the peppermill with kitchen clean up
Bacon? I guess Taco Bell is more similar to traditional Mexican food than we realize
Thanks. The leek and shallots are a no go as well. They don't even like onion flavor even if I use onion powder. I may just have to pass on making this dish. Keep up the good work.
Wood or silicone tools in cast iron?
Yes
You can also use stainless steel utensils in cast iron / carbon steel.
You're alright white boy
I would just have to cook them the non spicy way with a tiny bit of salt and Mrs. Dash
Touches meat, touches everything else... no hand washing??

What the hell are you talking about???
