im not sure what some people are asking but ya like your medical history and what size shit you took this morning, please keep to yourself. but if youre going to monetize aspects of your personal life, like your son and your wife, people are going to get emotionally invested to some degree. so when you suddenly move to florida and start hanging out with another chick, its only natural people ask questions - that's not being invasive. you owe your followers an explanation since it was you that got them invested in your personal life...

I think it's very obvious to anyone paying the least bit attention.
It's very fair to want to keep certian things private. Having said that, when you make your relationship statuses public and there is a sudden unexplained change and that new person is in new videos acting in a different manner than other women you have gone out thrifting or spending time with....people are going to naturally speculate. You can't have the clicks and then expect that the more disrespectful viewers arent going to leave comments saying what we are all thinking. It is what it is.

If Dave wants to delete comments that's his prerogative but he's letting us into his life and it's natural for people to have questions and make assumptions when their questions aren't being answered. It is correct that he doesn't owe us an explanation but people are justified in being curious and commenting. Plus, as a fellow TH-camr, I know even the most negative of comments only helps his channel.
@@EntertainmentKorner people are saying what they want and Dave is deleting comments so you are getting what you want. Dave is asking for commentary now. And yes it is helping his channel. He made an entire video about it today and will be collecting the revenue it generates obviously. I think we can both agree that there are comments that are stating the obvious and then there are people who hold grudges that want to take personal shots on things that haven't been presented to us on these videos. There's being respectful and not going to that level and then there's being petty and vindictive and posting comments speculating on other things that there is no evidence for. I would imagine you would understand the difference and are not advocating that people do such things. If you are, then I would disagree with your viewpoint even if Dave is presenting things that are personal in nature. Its called taking the high road. If you don't like it, don't give his videos the views or engage in the comments on his channel. If its that upsetting to you, then you are only helping him by engaging on his channel.
My point...before we veered off into the woods....is that while this "controversy" is good for his business...it will come with ready made bait for the trolls...and that shouldn't be a shock to anyone.

My wifes uncle just finished a very extensive and over drawn out divorce from his wife of many years. It had become a very unhealthy union, and there were alot of very rough elements involved. I hope things go well and both parties go their respective ways and have a happy future

That's all good and well. The big D can be a trying and difficult transistion time and especially with a kid in the mix. Not everyone will understand why, but you are totally entitled to keep that part of your life separate and private and if your viewers don't understand then that's just too bad. I mean speaking for myself all I'm looking to see in your videos is you out on the hunt for movies and talking about them. And the library! I think it'd be cool to see you doing little movie impressions through shorts, now that they are a thing. Honestly all the travel type vlogs I just skip, just being honest. I'm looking forward to see the building the new library vlogs of when you build it up again.
IMO, most people are here via the Cinema Sickness channel and are wanting to see thrifting videos. I know you are kind of stepping away from that, but I would guess a lot of the comments you speak of are people not happy with the changes. People can be mean, or shall I say strange with change.
I fully respect how you are handling this. So many other TH-camrs are cringe and doesn’t care about other parties involved and will just spill the beans. You are not doing this at all. I’m glad all involved is being civil and respecting each other. One thing I learn is everything happens for a reason and certain people are in our life for a reason. Those of us who are fans and have been with you for a while has got your back.
