I saw it, all right. It's sad though, to see a nice Stradivarius, dipping in the sea... Nice sound still; that's a Chevy? I owned once an aluminium hydrofoil boat, just that big (Volga hydrofoil), she have a Volvo Penta of six in line, diesel... To clumsy for my purposes, though...now she is in Holland. I bet it breaks your heart, leaving her in the marina overnights, hm?!
Thanks, it did have a nice sound... it was a Mercruiser 6.2L (I believe they used a chev block) - I exhausted thru the transom rather than out the propeller to have the nice sound - didn't use any mufflers but did have two 90 degree bends in each exhaust pipe which removed the sharp and very loud tones. I do not own this boat anymore - I built it to sell them but the time was bad and being an unknown builder as well as it being a higher end expensive boat the selling was very difficult. It found a very good home and I had the pleasure of building it... I don't think I saw this post either... You guessed correctly.My inspiration for the Yon'e 22 was based on the Riva Ariston and the present day Chris Craft Lancer 22. I have to say that this boat has met and surpassed all my desires. I could not be happier with its appearance or performance.
