- GHK, the Lexus of the Airsoft GBBR world. They’re luxurious, yet, affordable to most experienced players. Every couple years, they release something spectacular, apart from their PDW, the black sheep of the family. Their latest project should be as reliable as their Gen 2 AKs, the same length as their 14.5 inch M4 except with a much longer inner barrel, as thrilling as their G5 and should kick as hard as their love child with Hephaestus, Project T21. So how will the Airsoft Gas Blow Back version fair? Is it as good as I hope it is, or will it forever stay in the Shadow of the Tokyo Marui AEG version? Find out here!

I asked for this gun and so did so many others and I have to say I am very impressed. It sounds good even though you can hear some cool down on full auto but like Tim said, it's a sample. I hope they really expand on this but even if they keep it to the 3 variants with no add ons like larger magazines or HBAR conversation I will still buy the A1 no questions asked. Give me a price and I'll save my coins for it. Only wish I have, please release an A1 with the famous OD Green stock.
+Lettuce Hunter yep, they are very well known for those, I'd love to get my hands on one but that's oddly impossible as no one owns one anywhere near me. Don't know why.
I feel like the really rare guns are mostly non skrimisable :p

+USAirsoft how come airsoft company's never make the Australian version the austyer F88A1 or A2 or the new EF90 which is ten times better then the AUG A3 in real life
The Steyr Aug might just be the most beautiful rifle ever made.
I have the TM AUG A3 XS right now. Got it on sale on Evike for $238. I would definitely not buy it for it's full price, though.

maybe a Toyota but they don't share alot with them. apart from the CT and the ES they're fairly different. you won't find a Toyota sporting a RWD 5.0L V8 sedan.

Yeah I doubt GHK will stray from their AEG barrels, there are conversion kits to go to VSR style too. Past experience has shown most GHKs do fairly well with their stock rubber too once broken in but fine adjustments on them are easier and r hops are easily doable
+Slaughter619 I used the AUG A1 from its introduction into the Australian military in the 80s. I can guarantee you that the wet noodle sounding trigger is authentic. And the Aussie version of the A1 had the single shot lockout button on the bottom of the trigger. Pull it out and it mechanically stopped the trigger going back into full auto. Simple and elegant solution. I have an AUG2 AEG and I'm busting to get the GBBR version in OD.

I don't remember who, but there is somebody who makes a FAL kit for M4s, it isn't like the g3 style though. it has an m4 style quad rail but it to me looks cooler than an m4

The double stage trigger for semi and full auto seems even more effective for a gbbr, seeing as there are many times when the cool down eventually gets so bad in full auto that you have to switch to semi. Which can get annoying when you have to constantly find the selector switch.
+asdfboochica Exactly what I was thinking as well, got the problem on my Kriss Vector. A small flow, sure, but never really thought about what could be done. This seems like an excellent way.

On the real steel one if you flip the grip forward its so you can quick change barrels from a short to long barrel and make it a LMG. Not for storage
+Jordan Kay It its actually for storage. You will never ever switch the barrel on a RS AUG. You migh take it out for cleaning and safety checks though.

Hey crew. Im just asking. Have you tried shooting the AUSTRALIAN ARMED FORCES version of this gun. In the real steel built?? The American version calls it the LITHGOW F90 ATRAX.

It’s less powerful than my sig m17s gbb. Anyone want to explain? I’m in Japan using hfc134a gas. There’s apparently no propane here. Just butane ... is that my issue? The gun in sweet, it’s just disappointingly underpowered

I tried looking for the GHK Aug A2 but could only find the Aug A1 and A3. If someone has a link to a website where I could buy the GHK Aug A2 that would be great. I also have a feeling that GHK may have not made a Aug A2, which if that’s the case please reply to this comment and let me know.
The AUG is also in the George A. Romero film Land of the dead the zombie Big daddy uses the AUG against the humans (spoiler alert)he killed many humans.

Magazines on the real one are clear. Real one has no fire selector, just a safety. You push the trigger half way, you have semi, you do full pull and its full auto... the real body doesnt look "grainy" at all...

What about the front handle? Is it sturdier? Everyone one I saw using an AEG AUG (including myself) broke the handle simply by holding it in a couple of games because the pin is made out of a really cheap metal that breaks instead of bend.
It's funny that you say the GHK PDW was not so good, yet you picked it over the WE GHK in the head to head...

Sorry if this is a stupid question but in the video, I didn't see a gas fill valve anywhere on the magazine, and now that the product is on Redwolf, I don't see it in any of the pictures there either. Does it have an FNX-esque injection valve right below the gas release valve, or is it hidden amongst the waffles and baseplate?

Nah the charging handle doesn't sound terrific it sounds like ur slapping plastic around. This looks like a flop by ghk which is disappointing. I wish these reviews weren't so biased

dont push the coking handle forward, you only need to tap it to make it fly forward. in reality if you do that it can make a jam becasue its moving to slow so 2 bullets can get jammed in.

I love gbbrs. Some mods and they work like beasts. Blowback and the sound (specially on ghk aks) are to die for. But just like buttcheeks there is a split in the middle ;)

A1 and A2 info is totally incorrect, both on GHK's part and Redwolf's part. The A1 has EITHER a fixed 1.5x scope or a fixed railed receiver with a square charging handle with a forward assist button; receivers must be swapped out to swap optics. The A2 has a detachable 1.5x scope that can be replaced with a rail and a crescent-shaped charging handle. None of them have a three-stage safety switch. What GHK made is a bastard-child of an A1 and an A2, with an incorrect scope magnification and incorrect safety. The only thing they got right was the scope reticle.
Tokyo Marui and Classic Army are the only two companies to have made a proper A1. Which is disappointing because all the major militaries who have adopted the AUG use A1 variants.
+ViperBite The safety is really more of an ergonomics thing for airsoft, so I prefer to have it. Being able to lock to semi prevents you accidentally jamming on full auto when your not supposed to. The TM A2 has it, and the same functionality is built into real AUG variants (F88).
The TM "A2" was my first AEG. It did not have that feature. The F88 may have that feature, but the F88 is still an A1 base so this GHK Frankenstein wouldn't work for an F88 anyway. Which is really disappointing. I was hoping they could renew accessories for the AUG and give us the F88 flash hider and bayonet lug.
ViperBite Sure yours was a TM? I've got one and it's got the full-auto lockout. You used to be able to buy an F88 kit with the appropriate flashhider and lug from Beta Project, got one on my TM.
TM A1 with the railed receiver; I think they call it the "Special Receiver" version. First AEG I ever bought back in 2005 or so, before all the China clones even hit the drawing boards. Bought it from Redwolf, actually.

Stella C³-bu! I've always toyed with the idea of getting Sonora's AUG, but this has definitely sold me on it! Just as long as the A1 comes in OD, that is.

the real AUG comes from Austria. and its the national gun from the austrian militäry. the full name is Steyr AUG A1.....Steyr this is the name of the country where this gun was made. Steyr is in austria
