Excellent video!! Have you had any other instances where the Epix Pro locked up and restarted unexpectedly? I recall you mentioned in a previous video that had happened a couple of times. Hardware vs. software issue is what gave me pause in ordering one.
Nice comparison of displays. May be another video of display comparison in low light or night time will help more. also which band is that ? original Garmin?
Can you do a Garmin Epix 2 Pro vs Enduro 2? 🙏🏼🙏🏼. Tough to decide.
How do you like the 51mm size for everyday wear? Not evenings and sleep tracking necessarily, just accounting for the larger diameter and thickness off of the wrist.
thanks a lot for the detailed revew. Very nice to see both of the models. I'm between those two and dont know which one to get. I have the Polar Vantage 3 and im very happy with the result but i dont trust it for swimming conditions. So i would like to go for the Garmin Fenix 7 pro or Garmin Epix Pro. I dont mind so much about the battery, but my debate is which screen is better for me. I leave in Greece and we have all the year sun light, which makes the Fenix 7X pro more suitable for my choise. On the other hand the Epix Pro is also nice when the Oled is providing more details.
Nice comparison. I also like both screen types. Wish I could see a Sapphire Solar in the sun, but can only see in the store where it looks really poor under fluorescent light.
The MIP screen looks absolutely stunning in direct sunlight however it’s pretty lackluster and dull everywhere else. Still I think I’d choose it over the amoled
Nice review! Do you see any differences in the heart rate sensor, compared to the old one? As this is the main difference, together with the flashlight, which was not on the non-Pro modells, except the F7X. How about the heart rate sensor compared to the previous version?
Difference in maps? GARMIN says the Fenix has maps downloaded and epix does not. Any other differences not generally shown or known? Thank you.
Depends on the model. I believe the sapphire models already have them preloaded.

You sound like me. I have an Apple Watch Series 5, a Garmin Fenix 6X Sapphire. Just bought the Apple Watch Ultra 2, and I just ordered a Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 51mm in whitestone colour, because why not. I'm a weirdo like that lol. Cheers from Canada.

When using the maps is the fenix better due to the screen staying on vs the epix always turning off while trying to figure out what you want to do?
Not sure if you ever got an answer for this. I have Epix pro and it stays on while you’re looking at it up to 15 seconds (change time in settings), which to me, is enough time to look at map and information.

@braddavister137 Thanks for the answer. I liked my old 6X Pro, but I upgraded to 7X a while ago, and screen is pretty bad. Maybe it is time for another upgrade.
@@StarLight... the blacks look more black when the backlight is on. As far as resolution and pixel density it’s about the same but it definitely looks better!

Nice video. The epix should have had a 1.4 inch display it would be a perfect Garmin for me. Now it has a giant black bezel on a 1k watch in 2023..
I had a 6x pro now using a 51mm epix 2 pro and I will say the amoled screen is much better
