Loved seeing a young Jewel Staite! Though what a disturbing opener/episode.
And seeing Mulder’s sensitive side 💔
And yeah I’m also hoping for a lighter episode soon! This season has been heavy!

@@travelingbeka What is this, a marathon of sorts, lol..‘War of the Coprophages,’ Ep. 12 is pretty light, but you have a little ways to go😃..

A dark episode for sure. To me this one has a different vibe and feeling from the norm of the series. The 'realness' of it all puts it on another level of discomfort and Scully's combativeness to Mulder just feels different to how she would normally treat him. As the episode played out, this made me less enthused about it but after it was over, something about how it went down just stuck with me. Strange.
I read on wiki that this was compared to the then current Polly Klaas case - something I forgot about. But that makes a lot of sense and would be more chilling in context.

@@DonJoeBob Yeah, I read that too.. Thought to mention it in the review, probably forgot.. Regardless of how many notes I have written out on a piece of paper, the review ultimately ends up being something different, lol…. The end really shook me, that lasting crane shot, seeing Mulder so vulnerable.. One of the great endings for sure. Just to think, the very next episode, we are dropped right back into the Mythos, lol.. 🍻
