    Backing Maynard Was "The Jack Kane Orchestra" from the CBC TV show "Music Makers"-1959-Toronto CBC show.

    There are select trumpet players who can get up there BUT NO ONE to this day can do this...there was only one Maynard

      dunno about that.............Scott "Scooter" Englebright and Eric Miyashiro come pretty damn close. look them up on youtube. both of them do several Maynard covers.

      Wynton had a very narrow agenda for that series.

      Ken Burns didn't mention a lot of people. Nat Cole, for another. That series was a farce.
