Admittedly, I'm not a fan of toy cameras, but we need to remember that the more of these film photography products that get sold, the more confidence there will be for manufacturers of cameras (and film) - which will be for the better of all of us!
I concur fully with that. My big problem is that these could be 50x better very easily. Simply giving these an optical glass lens would improve their performance drastically and without adding a huge cost. I'd argue that the added price would be well worth the performance.
I actually managed to snap some surprisingly sharp pics of the fall foliage with Kodak gold and Ektar 100 this month. The worst thing about this camera is the plastic winder, it can easily be snapped off and the plastic lens suffers from severe optical chroma and vignetting.
I believe it. Basically, a good photo needs a good subject, good composition, proper focus, proper exposure, and with film cameras proper film placement and alignment. Any film camera CAN do that. Some just do it more consistently. These can take captivating photos when everything aligns.
glad I watched this. I'm heading to the beach this weekend and wanted to take this out because it's a camera I don't have to worry about sand, and sometimes I like the look this camera gives off, the imperfections etc. using it almost like a pseudo Hulga like mentality, i guess IOW I'm not looking for the best results I can get but odd looking results. I have a roll of Cinestill 50d in my fridge I've been waiting to use but after watching this I'm retinking it. I might just use my old Fuji Discovery camera. I don't know if I want too much under exposure. Great video as always. and on a side note I couldn't get over the packaging for a camera of this quality, that was impressive. Nice box and padding etc for what amounts to a reusable disposable. and I do like the strap and the soft touch faux leather. It's fun camera as long as you know it's limitations.
do you know if the flash will still work well/effectively if the red light doesn’t turn on anymore when i flip the flash switch? or does that mean i should change the triple A battery haha
@@clarissavangelder250 hmm. So the take-up spill isn't taking up the film like the camera in this video demonstrates? Is the film securely on the take-up spool?

Thank you and yes, 50D would not work well in this. And yeah, good point on the packaging. They did good work in that regard.
very helpful!! thank you 👍🏻😊
Thank you!

Best guess is that the battery needs to be changed. Since the flash runs on the battery, it likely won't work if the battery has died.
How do I fix my winding knob. It’s not rotating. I’m sad.
The one to advance or to rewind the film?
@@DavidHancock the one to advance the film. It’s not rotation when I try to load new film.
@@clarissavangelder250 It won't advance until the shutter is fired and then it should work.
@@DavidHancock it keeps spinning. You can’t catch the film in there.

is it possible to change the len ?
Nope
