    Wow. I expected it to be measurably better, not dramatically better. Outstanding, I love that you did this video and also commented on the heat - keep up the great work!

    Holy cr@p that is decisive!! Time to throw out all my Flexovit discs and replace them with the 3M product. Which is strange, because all my sanding discs are 3M Cubitron, never thought about the grinding discs!

    Try comparing it to the new Flexovit UTG or MAXX3 grinding in Zirconia and Ceramic which is way different to the std mild steel metal grinding. Comparing a v6 to a v8 in the vid, you should try it plus runs cooler rather than heating up the metal Blueing like this on here

    when i first put this disc on my 1700 watt bosch grinder i was hooked, this stuff eats metal.

    great test
    4:42 - not really into dust, put a magnet in a plastic container and collect some of the grinding results on the floor. You will be impressed.

    OMG! I hope that is a joke? How can you compare a coated ceramic fiber disc against a standard bonded product??
    If you want a fair comparison, compare a Blaze Fibre disc from Norton/Flex-o-Vit against that 3M fibre disc. I personally did the test and 3M wasn’t good at all.
    In addition, this is a standard Flex-O-Vit grinding. You should try the Flex-O-Vit MaXX against a 3M cubitron grinding. Again, you’ll notice that 3M products cannot compete against Norton or Flex-O-Vit products. Can’t speak about the others (PFERD, Klinsgsporr.. I don’t know)

      How can they compare it, easy because he said in the opener they were comparing what most people will buy from the hardware store, it's not about comparing it to some special product, they were comparing it to the bog standard stuff most punters will pickup from Bunnings or H&G.

    How can you in good faith compare the performance of a fiber disc (oriented grain) vs a bonded product. This is like comparing a VW to an Audi. How about comparing a Flexovit Classic bonded wheel to a Cubitron II bonded wheel? This a real test. Really a worthless test. Have you ever heard of wearing gloves while using a grinder? Really poor safety practices also.

      I'm a 3m sales agent. The main cost is the time... it means the total cost is power. Who competitors don't show the difference on the base of your idea? Think about it...

      You are absolutely correct, I think these demos should always show safety gear being worn during use of power tools (as they are also specified on the manuals and even on the bonded discs themselves) but with regards to the demo, I believe it is showing how much more efficient the Cubitron II grain is. The bonded abrasive should actually remove more stock than a traditional fibre-backed disc but with the technology, it is very clear that the precision-grain works really well on stock removal.

    Supposed to use flexovits on a angle like 15 degrees or something. They are terrible discs either way lmao

    and you didn't even unplug the grinder when you changed out the disk .... are you trying to teach people how to get hurt?

    • @Migman2020
      @Migman2020 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      If you can get your self hurt while changing the disc then you should be no where near a grinder tbh.. common sense is critical here

    This is a really bad test! a normal grinding wheel against a ceramic fiber wheel. Even a normal VSM wheel would be better. Here, completely different discs are compared. Of course, 3M Cubitrion 2 mateial is at an advantage. In the meantime, however, there are cheaper alternatives to the Cubitron that work at least as well.
