How is it that Jeff is even better than he was 20 years previous to this show? One hell of a drummer. The Pauls, too - just as intense as when I saw them on their first couple tours. These guys don’t age. They must be doing something right.
NO joke man! I saw 'em in Dallas in '95 and they were amazing. Sound even better somehow now!

@@damanlidison bands like this especially have religous-like cult followings. Not gonna pack the arenas or get rich, but they knew that going in. I'd prefer the devoted appreciation of a few than a million meatheads wanting autographs

Maybe I could sound corny and predictable, but I think that the status of "small circle of people" gives the sense of something a bit more special and authentic (and I don't mean it in a hipster kind of way!).
I remember when Nirvana's "nevermind" went huge: I was already into them and others of that scene since a couple of years before; I saw the same people who used to make fun of "alternative kids" start following that new trend... And those trendy (or just clueless) masses ruined the magic!
Fortunately that's not happened to AmRep bands; and it seems to me that most of younger people who now discover those bands (HAMMERHEAD, UNSANE, HALO OF FLIES...) are usually people genuinely curious and not driven by some media brainwashing trend craze!
Glad there was some stuff off Memory Hole EP and Global Depression. That Memory Hole EP might be my favorite release they've ever put out.

these guys were mostly ignored the first time around, except for the lucky who were exposed to them, Halo of Flies, Killdozer and those bands who all have more attention NOW. Glad they are making new music and not just touring the oldies
