- Hammerhead play for dozens at 7 South (now the Hi-Dive) sometime back in 1994. Should have had this up a long time ago. Only saw them a couple of times but they were always full of energy and passion, though I only saw the guitarist smash his face with his guitar once. Their music still sounds great. There is surprisingly little about this band on TH-cam or the internet. I did not utilize the soundboard at this one. Left channel is some muddled hand mic on the camera. Right channel is the on-camera mic which sounds decent depending on where I'm looking. Top 10. Wish they'd played Double Negative. Pitiful peasants. Arrogant swine.

Saw them a bunch of times in the Twin Cities...not surprisingly. Their show in the 1st Ave Mainroom opening for Quicksand and headlined by Helmet was, as a ripe 20 yr old, a rather big highlight for me. But their brutalizing, pulverizing show in the basement of the old Speedboat Art Gallery in St Paul was simply one of the best live rock experiences in the universe...ever. That will never be matched. Too bad all of you seeing this video missed out.
This will never get old. It's still young. It'll always be young. It's the queen.

This was in April. I want to say April 6 or 7. I saw them each time they came to Denver (once a year like clockwork 93-96) and although always great, this was the best show. Thanks for posting!

Saw them 60 miles north in Fort Collins at the M&M warehouse. Same year perhaps. Hammerhead rules!!
