saw shelter in 1993 and got to talk to Ray after the set. Down to earth mhe is! Oh and 108 opened up for them. All packed into a little hole in the wall called Bastilles. Saw alot of early 1990s hardcore bands there. Great times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw that tour in Detroit, MI: SHELTER, 108, GUILT, and RICOCHET. Ray held a little class in the hallway before SHELTER played, where he tried to evangelize us. I was way too stoned to pay much attention, but the show was on fire, for sure!!

Man, we are all old. I was late to the Youth of Today era, caught Better Than a Thousand back in the late 90s. Never was a Shelter fan per say but I can appreciate dudes even older then me still cranking it out. Is Ray gonna be the new Mick Jagger someday? Yup, we are getting old.

I LOVE EARTH CRISIS! firestorm/forged in fire is in my top 5. no im not a vegan and yes im a stoner but i still agree with the overall message of the song. we do need a firestorm to purify. drugs are bad. they ruin lives. the whole vegan thing i couldnt get into cuz i mean bacon. c'mon dudes, bacon. need i say more? bacon muh dudes. and fuckin burgers, omfg fuckin burgers. i only live once and i got the type 2 beetus so at least gimme weed and meats lol cuz im gonna die soon anyways and i had to give up soda and candy so at least lemme have bacon and eggs lol😂.
yes im on a doet. been healthy for yrs since i was diagnosed. i asked my doctor if meats were still good and he said in moderation. usually i just eat for protein and nutritional value. i dont really enjoy meals like i used to pre-beetus when i was like 250 lbs. i'm down to around 185 205 lbs now. earth crisis firestorm/forged in fire got me through cuz i had to purge the sugar from my system and change my diet from soda and candy to like protein filled meats and water. so i had my own personal firestorm to purify myself of all the bad things that were killing me. i even gave up alcohol. but yes i do love animals but at the same time i love bacon so dont jusge me we all got struggles. my personal firestorm was changing my diet for the better and i forged that diet in flames through hard wprk cuz i also had to change my mental state away from craving sugar which was a battle. im still struggling. every so often i indulge in a snickers but thats only sometimes.
